"Teacher Cao, you look particularly good tonight. Anyone who didn’t know better might think you were going on a date," Lin Feng quickly complinted upon seeing Cao Ying in a blue t-shirt and tight jeans that perfectly accentuated her flawless figure.
"Aren’t I on a date with you two right now? Let’s go! What are you staring at?" Cao Ying glared at Lin Feng, then grabbed Tang Rou’s arm and walked off ahead, ignoring Lin Feng.
Left out in the cold, Lin Feng could only purse his lips and quickly hurry after them.
"Since you two aren’t suggesting anything, I’ll take the lead. Let’s go to Xuji Barbecue Shop. Their barbecue is great, very authentic," Cao Ying said. Soon, they arrived at Xuji Barbecue Shop, which wasn’t far from the school.
The barbecue shop had only a small storefront; the rest of its tables and chairs were set up in an open-air space. Perhaps the owner had so connections, as the local regulatory officers didn’t seem to bother them.

"Teacher Cao, you’re glowing with happiness. Don’t tell you’re in love?" Lin Feng teased once they had settled in and the appetizers arrived, all while peeling boiled peanuts and glancing at Cao Ying.
"Love, my foot! Can’t even food shut your mouth? If not, then eat more!" Cao Ying shot Lin Feng a fierce glare and, without warning, dumped another plate of boiled peanuts onto his. "You’re not allowed to speak until you’ve finished all these peanuts..."
"Uh..." Lin Feng was taken aback. He opened his mouth to say sothing but, rembering Cao Ying had forbidden him to speak, he had to keep his mouth shut.
TEE-HEE... Seeing this, Tang Rou, who had been silent until then, couldn’t help but giggle.
Watching the normally rebellious Lin Feng now sitting obediently silent, Cao Ying smiled, pleased with herself. Helping Lin Feng achieve such a significant improvent in his academics since her arrival in Jiangzhou was what Cao Ying considered her greatest accomplishnt.
"I called you two out today not just for a al. I have sothing important to say, so listen carefully. Tang Rou, you just need to stay focused; overall, you should be fine. It’s mainly Lin Feng. "You...! You’re disobedient when I ask you to listen, but when I tell you *not* to do sothing, you beco incredibly obedient. You’re doing this just to annoy , aren’t you? Alright, you can speak now!" With that, Cao Ying moved the plate piled high with boiled peanuts away from Lin Feng.
"Teacher Cao, why did the horoom teacher tell *you* about sleeping in class?" Lin Feng asked. He was curious. If he were sleeping in class, the horoom teacher should speak to him directly, not to Cao Ying. What was the point of telling her? Could Cao Ying possibly have more authority than his horoom teacher?
At his words, Cao Ying’s expression beca a little awkward. She recalled what the horoom teacher had said to her the other day: Teacher Cao, there’s sothing strange about Lin Feng. He doesn’t listen to or the other teachers, but he’s surprisingly obedient to you... Thinking about that, and also recalling how Lin Feng had just stayed silent simply because she had told him to, Cao Ying couldn’t help but glance at Lin Feng, suddenly feeling a bit closer to him.
