The short distance of several dozens of ters between the two villas was the most perfect stretch for Lin Feng and Xue Qingyi. By the ti Lin Feng dropped Xue Qingyi off at the door of Zhou Yang’s villa, her face was already filled with a mix of shyness, nervousness, and a hint of resentnt. She had clearly started developing feelings for Lin Feng, and her legs felt a bit weak.
"Brother Feng, Sister Qingyi, why are you only arriving now? Everyone’s been waiting for you!" As Lin Feng and Xue Qingyi were tidying up their slightly disheveled clothes, Zhu Xiuyue ca out of the villa, cheerfully greeting them, and playfully took Xue Qingyi’s arm, walking with her into the house.
It was clear that Zhu Xiuyue and Xue Qingyi were growing increasingly comfortable with each other.
"We just chatted a bit before coming over..." Xue Qingyi, shyly stealing a glance at Lin Feng, casually said to Zhu Xiuyue.
Feeling a bit guilty, Lin Feng said nothing and simply followed the two won into the villa.
The villa purchased by Zhou Yang was slightly different from Ning Fuxun’s number three villa, most notably with its garden being dozens of square ters smaller and featuring a small fountain with a decorative rock sculpture in front, adding a touch of elegance.
It was Lin Feng’s first ti here, and he couldn’t help but steal a couple of glances at the fountain.
"Zhou Yang ntioned wanting to remove the rock sculpture and raise fish in the fountain, saying he could then eat the freshest fish..." Zhu Xiuyue noticed Lin Feng’s gaze and explained with a chuckle, her expression sowhat peculiar.
"Using this to raise fish?!" Lin Feng’s expression also turned peculiar. He knew Zhou Yang loved fish, especially Sichuan-style boiled fish, as he’d always eat several more bowls of rice with it. Yet, removing the sculpture to raise fish in such an elegant fountain seed a bit unnecessary, right?
Besides, enjoying fish doesn’t necessarily an one has to raise fish, just like Lin Feng enjoying beef doesn’t an he should open a cattle ranch, right?
Perhaps Zhou Yang had another reason for wanting to remove the rock sculpture!
After examining the overall layout of the villa, Lin Feng discovered that the over-two-ter-high rock sculpture was positioned right between the villa’s main door and the distant gate, effectively blocking the view from inside out. He quickly realized Zhou Yang’s true intention: removing the rock sculpture was just to broaden the view for observing visitors!
As for why Zhou Yang didn’t explain this to Zhu Xiuyue directly, Lin Feng understood well. After all, Zhu Xiuyue was just an ordinary person and didn’t comprehend the hardships Zhou Yang had faced. Explaining things too fully might only scare her!
After all, ignorance is bliss sotis!
"Indeed!" Zhu Xiuyue, seeing Lin Feng’s expression, felt that his aesthetic sense was likely similar to hers, and said eagerly, "Brother Feng, can you help persuade Zhou Yang to keep this rock sculpture? If he likes fish, I can go to the market every day to get fresh live fish and cook als for him..."
After hearing Zhu Xiuyue’s words, Xue Qingyi looked at Lin Feng, smiling, seemingly curious about how he’d respond to Zhu Xiuyue.
"Xiuyue, do you really like this rock sculpture?" Lin Feng glanced at Zhu Xiuyue and casually asked.
"Not exactly like it, I just think it’s such a pity to pay to dismantle sothing nice! Of course, that’s just my little thought; if Brother Feng thinks it’s troubleso, then forget it." Zhu Xiuyue replied sowhat embarrassed.
Zhu Xiuyue knew her relationship with Zhou Yang wasn’t long-standing, feeling a bit awkward directly requesting Zhou Yang, so she hoped Lin Feng would speak on her behalf.
"Got it!" Lin Feng nodded, "I’ll find the opportunity to ntion it to Zhou Yang."
The trio entered the villa, seeing Zhou Yang, Xiang Wang, and Xie Nan joyfully drinking around a large round table.
The round table was filled with dishes, most of which hadn’t been touched, while over a dozen beer bottles were already empty. It seed they were planning to drink until full!
Besides beer, there were even bottles of Lafite, Maotai, and Remy Martin, though only one bottle of Maotai was opened while the rest remained untouched.
Neither Zhou Yang, Xie Nan, nor Xiang Wang were particularly fond of spirits or wines. Beer was their favorite, with white liquor coming next, making the Lafite and Remy Martin from the wine cabinet rely for show.
"Boss... Co sit!"
"Brother Feng... Co over and drink, I want to challenge you!"
Zhou Yang and Xie Nan, seeing Lin Feng arrive, waved, slurring slightly as they greeted him.
Xiang Wang looked up at Lin Feng, then at Zhou Yang, before hesitantly saying, "Brother Feng?!"
"Xiang Wang, are you still hungry?!" Zhou Yang, hearing Xiang Wang’s hesitant tone, couldn’t help but smack Xiang Wang’s head, angrily saying, "Don’t try to muddle through; this is Brother Feng, greet him seriously..."
"Brother Zhou..." Xiang Wang looked at Zhou Yang, dissatisfied, feeling he’d already greeted.
"Haha... You’ve got so guts now! Glaring at despite being reprimanded..." Zhou Yang, seeing Xiang Wang’s reaction, couldn’t resist reaching out to grab his neck for further chastisent.
"Hey... Zhou Yang, don’t get too excited!" Lin Feng smiled bitterly, stopping Zhou Yang’s action. This guy still loved bullying Xiang Wang...
"Xiang Wang, don’t mind it, your Brother Zhou has always been like this, he doesn’t an it seriously..." Lin Feng patted Xiang Wang’s shoulder, smiling as he explained.
Understanding Xiang Wang’s hesitation, Lin Feng empathized. After all, soul reincarnation was quite a bizarre concept. Without a few days to accept it, Xiang Wang probably couldn’t process it.
Xiang Wang looked at Lin Feng with gratitude, feeling again the sense of protection emanating from Lin Feng...
Four years ago, Xiang Wang was an oblivious Little Brat who accidentally hacked into the USA’s Departnt of Defense website, got caught by their cyber police, and thrown into prison. Lin Feng saved him from that high-walled world, taking him to the Middle East to unleash his talents.
In the Middle East, Xiang Wang, using a simple workstation, accomplished feats other hackers couldn’t even dream of, controlling USA’s military spy satellites, directly providing intelligence to the White Wolf Squad, allowing a seemingly ordinary rcenary team to carry out special missions even national special forces couldn’t complete!
Finally, with Lin Feng’s help, Xiang Wang altered his appearance, concealed his identity, returned to the USA, hacked and altered police records to erase any wanted notices, creating a new identity and successfully clearing his na, enabling him to co and go freely in the USA without worrying about being captured.
For Xiang Wang, Lin Feng was a ntor both revered and relied upon.
Expecting to never et again, Xiang Wang’s emotions grew increasingly excited.
