"How is it?" The Zhao Family Young Generation looked at his family mbers who had fainted around him, and then at Li Yifei standing proudly on the distant plaza. Surprisingly, a sense of hope arose in his heart, hoping that Li Yifei would win, rather than the Grand Elder. In a choice between a monster and a human, these people still chose the human. Moreover, Li Yifei’s words and actions just now were indeed not so hateful.

Old Master Zhao also secretly hoped in his heart that Li Yifei could win. He had lived his whole life and was actually taught how to be a person by Li Yifei, but he accepted it. His apology was also sincere. Over the years, under the influence of the Grand Elder and the Second Elder, his thinking pattern had changed a lot.

So, what was the situation with the Grand Elder? Li Yifei stood to the side, vigilant in his heart, pondering whether to condense another True Qi Blade to cut again. However, if he did, it would waste a lot of Innate Vital Energy.

While he was thinking, the black qi on the ground suddenly dispersed. Black wisps rged into the air, revealing a figure inside. A corpse, a little over a ter tall, lay on the similarly mummified Second Elder, who remained in a cross-legged posture, while the Grand Elder was biting the Second Elder’s neck.

The mummified body was full of knife wounds, all slashed open by Li Yifei’s blade aura.

These two were indeed dead. The Second Elder died from being drained by the Grand Elder, and the latter died under Li Yifei’s blade. Because it was rapidly absorbing blood to restore itself, but when Li Yifei jumped in and kept hacking it continuously, its consumption exceeded absorption, even after absorbing the Second Elder as nourishnt, it didn’t recover. One breath was exhaled, and it died completely.

The Southern Sky Twin Evils, who had been rampant for decades, had been chased by the strongest of the Southern Provinces but survived, only to die at Li Yifei’s hands today. This manner of death seed unjust to the two, but no one cared about that; it was good that they were dead.

Li Yifei sighed with relief. By this ti, he was not in good shape. To continue entangling with people of the level of the Grand Elder and the Second Elder was unwise, for if he made a mistake that the opponent caught, he would be in trouble.

It was good they were dead; dust returns to dust, earth returns to earth, everything ends! Li Yifei glanced at the two; at this hour, he did not know they were so notorious and devoid of conscience, otherwise, he wouldn’t have treated the Zhao Family with such an attitude. If he had known the truth now, Li Yifei would probably have killed to avenge those wronged souls.

Old Master Zhao slowly walked over and clasped his hands towards Li Yifei, saying, "Thank you!"

Li Yifei assud he was being thanked for killing the Grand Elder, who had turned into a monster, so he didn’t take it seriously, nodding lightly, and said, "Clan Leader Zhao, take care of yourself!"

Having said that, Li Yifei dusted off his clothes, turned, and walked towards the Audi car several dozen ters away. The Zhao Family Young Generation slowly gathered around, watching Li Yifei’s departing back, their gazes complicated, with a mix of fear and a realization that this person didn’t seem so hateful. Of course, so of the Zhao Family Young Generation hated Li Yifei to the bone, but unfortunately, they lacked the ability to take revenge, especially after witnessing Li Yifei’s strength.

Sitting in the car, Li Yifei placed his hands on the steering wheel, took a deep breath, and slowly exhaled. This battle had exhausted him, almost completely. Sitting in the car, Li Yifei grinned and muttered softly, "Damn, if I had known the Zhao Family had two monsters hidden, I would have brought a few more people, so it wouldn’t have been so difficult to fight!"

After speaking, Li Yifei glanced at the sky; suddenly, the horizon brightened. The clouds overhead, driven by the wind, raced towards the south, rays of sunlight streaming down, as the wind stopped and the rain ceased, a rainbow appeared in the direction where Li Yifei was heading.

He arrived in a downpour and left with a rainbow hanging over the horizon. For Li Yifei, he rely challenged two opponents of the sa level, but for the Zhao Family People, the changes today were enormous, perhaps the most significant in decades. After Li Yifei left, Old Master Zhao looked at the rainbow in the sky, feeling a myriad of emotions, yet unsure of what to say.

But from then on, the Zhao Family never bothered the Li Family from Ning Province again. A few months later, after Old Master Zhao passed away, the new head of the Zhao Family directly incorporated this into the family rules. Many knew the reason, so no one questioned it. In its early years, the Zhao Family thrived not only by the fortune of having senior officials in their ranks but also reliant on the two contemporary masters, the Grand Elder and the Second Elder. As for the rise of the Li family, it was closely related to Li Yifei, who was so formidable that one of his actions equaled that of dozens or even hundreds of others.

A family’s prowess, if lacking masters to preside over, should be more low-key, or else it truly might be courting disaster.

Thus, not provoking the Li Family from Ning Province beca family protocol. Of course, decades later, the Zhao Family Young Generation might feel grateful, for not provoking the Li Family was, without a doubt, the wisest decision, as the Li Family was indeed not to be trifled with.

On a mountain path, Li Yifei looked unwell, alone in the car. Ye Liangchen, who was around earlier, had vanished during the fight; no one had noticed him. Perhaps in the future, Ye Liangchen would restrain himself, or perhaps continue to create trouble, but it no longer concerned Li Yifei. This guy surely wouldn’t try to sche against him again like ****...

With no one in the car, no one noticed Li Yifei’s face, which was rather pale. Because this battle had taken so much out of him, Li Yifei needed to recover urgently. However, worried that soone from the Zhao Family might follow, and since this was their territory, Li Yifei gritted his teeth and drove away.

Li Yifei casually turned onto a road, only knowing to move forward, but his consciousness grew increasingly blurry. He didn’t know how much ti had passed before everything went black before his eyes, and he finally couldn’t hold on, his foot still pressing on the gas pedal, and the car continued to surge forward...

When Li Yifei opened his eyes again, he found himself lying in a small room. The room was tiny, only a few square ters in size, the bed was narrow and short, and as he lay there, both feet were sticking out, just fitting through the bed’s fra.

Sniffing the air, Li Yifei did not detect any unpleasant odor. The blanket covering him, although worn and washed, carried a faint fragrance, as did the pillow under his head. He felt sowhat thirsty and wanted to move, but realized he was currently very weak.

He could move his head but couldn’t sit up; his body felt uncontrollable. After so ti, Li Yifei rembered everything. After leaving the Zhao Family, he had been eager to find a place to stop and cultivate for recovery, but consciousness faded, and now he woke up here in this small room.

So, where is this place? Who saved him? It was clear that he couldn’t have possibly gotten here on his own.

Yet he was indeed very thirsty. Li Yifei licked his dry lips, feeling as though he hadn’t had water in a long ti. His eyes roved, continuing to survey the room—such a room as he hadn’t lived in for ages, pitiably small. Above, a tiny bulb, the simplest round incandescent bulb, but cleaned very well, unlike in so households where the lamps were covered in dust.

Within the four-walled little room was only one window, but it was set high and small. Li Yifei didn’t know what ti it was now, as there was no sunlight outside the window, leading him to guess it was the shady side of the building.

The door was on the other side, with a few nails hamred into it, and several bags hung there, so fabric bags and so plastic. Li Yifei took notice of one labeled with a Bankwei clothing brand, containing things he couldn’t make out.

As his gaze shifted, Li Yifei saw a mattress on the floor—just one mattress—with a short piece of wood positioned as a pillow. The entire mattress wasn’t long, quite a match for the little bed he lay upon.

It seed the room’s owner was not a tall person, judging by the furnishings. Li Yifei couldn’t tell if they were male or female, but as he gathered a bit more energy, he heard faint water sounds.

The sound was distant, seemingly a hundred ters or more away. Li Yifei could only faintly hear weak splashing, not continuous, leading him to speculate whether it was the sound of waves, though he couldn’t determine if there was a river, lake, or sea far ahead...

The window was shut, and Li Yifei couldn’t sll any faint fishy scent from river water, unable to ascertain anything from it.

Thinking back, Li Yifei still felt incredibly thirsty, though unable to move for now, he could only think of Cao Cao’s sour plums, of his wives’ fresh juices, and...

Currently, Li Yifei was in a state of weakness; the True Qi in his Dantian was depleted, leaving his body unable to withstand, thus rendering him forcibly unconscious. He had been in such a state before and needed ti to recover rather than just ditate through a night.

Safe for now, he wasn’t in a hurry since such things can’t be rushed. As Li Yifei thought of plums and various delicacies, the feeling of thirst eased sowhat, and drowsily, he fell asleep again.

Unaware of how much ti had passed, Li Yifei felt soone pushing him and hazily opened his eyes to see a small face staring at him. The face was small but very clean, with features that made him feel quite comfortable. Sporting mid-length short hair, the child seed about ten years old, yet Li Yifei couldn’t distinguish whether it was a boy or girl.

Upon seeing Li Yifei’s eyes open, the child’s face lit up with surprise and delight, putting down the wooden bowl in hand, and exclaid happily, "You’re awake!"

Li Yifei smiled back; the voice letting him know it was a little girl, so he replied, "Hmm, awake. Thank you, little sister!"

"Uncle, it’s good that you’re awake. I thought you...thought you would never wake up again. I read in a book about a condition called vegetative state, where one just sleeps and doesn’t wake." The little girl said.
