Chanuo's face suddenly changed upon hearing the voice behind him.
"Who are you? Who said soone destroyed the evidence, daring to ddle in my business?" Chanuo turned and looked at Lin Chen with a cold expression.
With a faint smile, Lin Chen replied, "Who I am is none of your concern, but since you have destroyed evidence, you should be charged with aiding and abetting, shouldn't you, Director Qima?"
Qima looked at Lin Chen, montarily taken aback, unsure of what Lin Chen had up his sleeve.
"If soone intentionally destroyed evidence, disturbing the police investigation and causing significant impact, they must indeed be held criminally responsible," Qima said coldly.
At that mont, Chanuo suddenly chuckled, "Young man, do you know who I am? I'm the Chief of Criminal Police in the city. You think I would destroy evidence? What a joke!"
Lin Chen looked at Chanuo coldly, "Since you're the Chief of Criminal Police, then you should know that one must wear gloves on their hands and covers on their shoes when entering a cri scene, right?"
Chanuo paused, realizing that he had indeed not worn gloves nor shoe covers when he entered just now. However, Chanuo had been to many scenes before and had never brought these items.
"Hmph, stop trying to mystify things. My team has already searched for half a day without any leads. Whether I wear gloves or shoe covers is irrelevant when there are no clues anyway," Chanuo snorted coldly.
With a cold smile, Lin Chen said, "There you are wrong. There is an important clue right under your feet, but unfortunately, you have destroyed it."
"What nonsense are you talking about? How could there be any clues under my feet?" Chanuo paused before stepping back twice.
Looking down at the ground, the floor of the cri scene was paved with bricks with large gaps between them, but indeed there was nothing on the floor.
"Young man, don't play gas with , there are no clues here whatsoever," Chanuo snorted coldly.
However, Lin Chen walked over to where Chanuo had just been standing.
"The evidence is right here," Lin Chen said indifferently.
"What are you joking about? There's clearly nothing here," Chanuo said with a cold laugh after glancing at the ground.
He and an employee next to him got a hook and scraped a few tis in the crevice between bricks; they managed to unearth a button, which they carefully placed into a plastic bag.
Chanuo snorted, "It's just a button, what kind of clue is that? Maybe it was dropped a long ti ago!"
Lin Chen smiled faintly, "I really wonder how you beca the Chief of Criminal Police. Didn't you notice that the girl was missing a button from her clothing? We could have potentially gathered more clues, such as fingerprints the culprit might have left while searching for this button. Instead, because of your foolish intrusion, you have destroyed such important evidence. Can you shoulder that responsibility?"
Upon hearing Lin Chen's words, Chanuo's face slightly changed, but he sneered, "Kid, lecturing about rules? According to regulations, only police officers are permitted to enter the cri scene, but what are you? As far as I know, you aren't a cop."
Lin Chen smiled faintly, "Indeed, I'm not a policeman."
"Director Qima, you allowed a civilian into the cri scene, which violates the work regulations. I will report this incident to the Disciplinary Committee," Chanuo huffed.
Lin Chen snorted and pulled out an ID, tossing it to Chanuo, "You have three seconds to get out of this room."
Catching the ID and looking at it, Chanuo was so frightened his soul nearly left his body.
"Sir, you're from the Special Unit? I'll leave right away, right away," Chanuo hastily handed the ID back to Lin Chen and turned to leave.
"Hold on, did I say you could leave? What I said was for you to scram," Lin Chen said coldly.
As a policeman, in the face of such a vicious case, Chano thought not of how to catch the criminal but how to take the opportunity to snatch the position of the chief of Manchester Police Departnt. Lin Chen was very displeased by this and naturally wouldn't let him off easily.
"Don't go too far, I am the captain of the criminal investigation team," Chano said with an air of self-righteousness, puffing out his potbelly.
After all, everyone present was under his command. If he really rolled out of there, how would he be able to stand his ground in the Manchester police community?
Lin Chen let out a cold laugh, "Since you won't roll, then I'll teach you how to roll."
As soon as he finished speaking, Lin Chen's leg shot up in a swift kick to Chano's backside.
At that mont, Chano's body flew out quickly, rolling out like a ball.
The policen in the room were dumbfounded. After all, Chano was the captain of the criminal investigation team, and although his belly had grown over the years, he was still one of the strongest in the Manchester Police Departnt. Yet, in front of Lin Chen, he was kicked out like a ball.
Seeing Lin Chen, who was clapping his hands with a very satisfied look, and then looking at Chano who had rolled out the door with a bleeding head, all the policen swallowed hard.
"Who on earth is this young man? So ruthless, he even dares to kick Captain Chano."
At that mont, Lin Chen clapped his hands and handed a button to a policeman, "Take this for analysis to see if you can lift any fingerprints from the criminal."
"Yes, sir!" That policeman actually saluted Lin Chen and ran out in a panic.
Lin Chen then suddenly turned to look at Qima who had been staring at him unblinkingly and, sowhat embarrassed, said, "Chief Qima, were you smitten by my handsoness just now? Sigh, I know I'm just that kind of man—tall and handso, dashing, and suave. Without even noticing, I charm the hearts of young girls. If you're willing, I'm willing to pay a price of a billion..."
"A billion, my goodness, is this kid a millionaire's son?"
Hearing Lin Chen's generous offer, Qima also froze for a second, her cheeks blushing slightly, not expecting this guy to be so generous for her.
"Scram!!!"

Now in his heart, he already considered himself the chief of the Manchester Police Departnt, but here he was, being trampled under the foot of a young man in his twenties.
"Lin Chen, very good. Offending , Chano, cos with severe consequences. Just wait until I beco the chief of police, you are as good as dead."
Now Chano was just waiting for the case to remain unsolved after three days, for Qima to step down, and for him to take over as the chief of the police departnt.
