Two policen stepped forward and grabbed hold of Xiyan’s arms.
At that exact mont, the call went through.
"Hello?" A deep and slightly gravelly voice.
Xiyan’s arms were held tightly by the police as she struggled incessantly. "Let go! Let go!"
On the other end of the phone, Ou Jue’s voice instantly turned icy. "Xia Xiyan! What’s wrong?"
The call was connected, but Xiyan was dragged backward completely by them.
"Young lady, you’re just a student, so I’ll try to be polite. You claim you don’t have a guardian, and now you’re trying to run away? Do you understand how bad your behavior is!?"
"Who’s running away? Let go of ! I need to make a call!"

Ou Jue stord into the police station.
Xiyan was sitting on one of the chairs inside, hugging her knees.
As his gaze landed on the girl, Ou Jue seed to let out a brief sigh of relief, but in the next second, his eyes filled with a bone-chilling coldness.
The police officers glanced at Ou Jue and couldn’t help but feel overwheld by the oppressive aura radiating from this young man.
Though intimidated, one of them still spoke up bravely, "Who are you? What are you here for?"
Xiyan’s eyelashes fluttered slightly as she lifted her head, finally seeing the dazzling young man in front of her.
She hurriedly ran over and clung tightly to Ou Jue’s arm.
Letting Xiyan cling to him, Ou Jue completely ignored the police officers. His deep, brooding gaze locked onto Xiyan. "Are you alright?"
Xiyan spoke up with grievance in her voice, "I didn’t hit anyone—it was him who threw himself at ! I’m telling the truth, but no one believes ."
"Who says no one believes you? I do!" Ou Jue pulled her closer to him, holding her protectively in his arms before finally turning his frosty glare toward the officers.
Cold sweat ford on the police officers’ foreheads. "Who... who exactly are you? What’s your relationship with this student?"
"Her guardian." Ou Jue’s tone was cold and detached.
"Guardian?" The officers were stunned. Wasn’t this student just claiming she didn’t have any guardians to deal with the matter?
"Then what’s your relationship with her? Are you her brother? Her uncle?"
Ou Jue looked down at them from a high vantage point, his expression indifferent as he uttered a few words, "Her future husband."
At that mont, the police station chief pushed open the door and walked out.
Upon seeing Ou Jue, his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.
"Ou... Ou Jue?! Why are you here at our station?"
The two young officers outside were so shocked their jaws almost hit the floor.
Ou Jue?!?!
What... what the hell?!
