Xiyan quickly picked up her phone and took a glance—
It was Grandma Ou.
The light in Xiyan’s eyes dimd slightly, but she answered, "Hello? Grandma."
Grandma Ou’s energetic voice ca through, "Little Xiyan, did you see today’s entertainnt headlines? Ah, pfft, I an, whatever you do, don’t look at them! Ah pfft pfft, what am I even saying... Anyway, it’s all nonsense from those unscrupulous reporters, don’t believe a word of it, okay? Boohoohoo!"
"But Grandma, I can’t even get in touch with Ou Jue right now. What does it an if he’s avoiding like this?"
As Xiyan spoke, her eyes started to sting.
Grandma Ou panicked even more when she heard this and frantically waved her hand through the air as if to reassure her, "Avoiding you? How could that be! It’s not just you—when I called him, even Grandma’s calls didn’t go through. I’ve already contacted Ou Jue’s assistant, but..."
But the assistant said that Ou Jue had canceled today’s schedule, and even they didn’t know where he had gone.

After hanging up the phone, the old lady stomped her feet in anger and instructed the people around her, "Get in touch with the folks at the company in Arica. Find him. Search every possible place he could’ve gone. I refuse to believe a grown man could just vanish into thin air!"

The next morning, bright and early.
It was Saturday, so classes weren’t scheduled today.
But today was the day for shooting a campus short film.
The first filming location was none other than the school stadium.
Early in the morning, the stadium was already crowded with students.
So were cast as extras, while others had co purely out of curiosity to watch the commotion.
Xiyan had barely slept a wink all night, and getting up this early made her look a little worse for wear.
As soon as she arrived on-site, she saw a group of students gathered around Xia Shiyi.
"Shiyi, we all saw the news! Is Young Master Ou really your boyfriend now? That’s amazing..."
"By the way, aren’t you supposed to be in Los Angeles right now? When did you co back?"
Xia Shiyi had the sort of expression that practically confird she was indeed dating Ou Jue.
She replied in a breezy voice, "Oh, I just got back yesterday."
The way she was smiling—it almost looked like she and Ou Jue had gone to Los Angeles on a honeymoon or sothing.
Xiyan clenched her hands into fists.
Looking at Xia Shiyi’s smug smile, she felt a very real sense of irritation!
When everyone noticed Xiyan had arrived, they imdiately lowered their voices, "Look, Xia Xiyan is here..."
"Didn’t Young Master Ou and Xia Xiyan seem to have a pretty good relationship before? Are they on bad terms now?"
"Of course, they’re on bad terms! Ou Jue is with Xia Shiyi now, haven’t you heard? There were even late-night rendezvous photos circulating—how could those be fake?"

If it weren’t for another booking I have to attend later, I would’ve been happy to stay as an extra here today."
Director Zhang, standing nearby, teased her with a chuckle, "You’re such a popular actress now, and you’d still be willing to work as an extra?"
"If it’s for one of your films, Director Zhang, I’d consider it a great chance to learn valuable lessons, even as an extra."
"You’re quite humble, kid. It’s a sha you didn’t make it past the second round this ti. Let’s find another opportunity to collaborate next ti, okay?"
