Xiyan lifted her gaze.
She saw Ou Jue leaning on the edge of the doorfra with one hand, slightly panting, completely different from his usual composed self, calm and unflappable no matter the situation.

Xiyan reached out and returned the embrace, tilting her small face up to him, raising her hand to wipe the beads of sweat from his forehead.
Her heart was ward beyond belief.
She smiled cheekily and spoke, "You were really this worried about , searching for all day?"
A smile? She still dared to smile?
Ou Jue let out a cold chuckle, lowering his head to look at Xiyan, "Smile one more ti, I dare you. See if I won’t rip those teeth out of yours."
"Don’t..." Xiyan nuzzled against his chest like a kitten, "Listen to my explanation, okay?"
"Speak!"
"Um..." Xiyan was organizing her words.
Chi Niannian spoke up slowly, "Sumr accidentally fell into the water. I happened to pass by and rescued her. She was unconscious this whole ti, and her phone shut off because of water damage. She just woke up and imdiately borrowed my phone to call you. You misunderstood her."
