Ou Jue clearly didn’t anticipate Xiyan to be here as well. His gaze lingered on her for a brief mont before shifting away and landing on Qianmo. "Get ready, we’re about to go in."
Trailing closely behind Ou Jue was Susan.
She looked at Xiyan, who stood alone not far away, and deliberately pulled Qianmo closer. "You’ve been in the restroom for so long? Xiao Jue was worried sick, thinking sothing might’ve happened to you. He insisted on coming with to find you."
"Really?" Qianmo stepped forward, but her high heel twisted unexpectedly. "Ah—"
"Momo, are you alright?" Susan hurriedly nudged Ou Jue. "Xiao Jue, why are you still standing there? Go help her!"
The scene fell silent for two seconds.
Ou Jue’s eyes remained indifferent but he ultimately stepped forward. His large hand seized her arm, obediently following Susan’s demand as he supported Qianmo.
And this was right in front of Xia Xiyan!
Qianmo’s heart soared with joy as she leaned into Ou Jue’s embrace, coquettishly saying, "Ou Jue-gege, thank you... You’re so kind."
Xiyan turned her head to look over.
She coincidentally locked eyes with Qianmo, who was holding onto Ou Jue’s arm, and who threw her a provocative glare.
It was obviously fake.
But Xiyan couldn’t shake her annoyance.
What was Qianmo being so arrogant about?
How dare she shalessly cling to Ou Jue like that?
Ou Jue subtly widened the distance between himself and Qianmo. "Let’s head in now."
"Okay." Qianmo nodded obediently, secretly thrilled.
With Susan present, Ou Jue-gege hadn’t paid the slightest attention to Xia Xiyan the whole ti.
Ha! Xia Xiyan must be utterly stunned seeing her so intimately paired with Ou Jue-gege now!
Feeling smug, Qianmo shot a glance at Xiyan and silently mouthed: You. Lost.
Xia Xiyan, you’ve completely lost to .
As long as Susan’s here.
Ou Jue-gege is mine!

Xiyan ultimately arrived a step too late; by the ti she entered, the press conference was already underway.
The reporters seated at the front waved their hands eagerly, vying for attention to be selected for questions by those on the platform.
Ou Jue and Qianmo sat at the center, with Ou’s mother and Susan seated on either side.
They faced the reporters’ questions.
A volley of inquiries was thrown their way.
"Mr. Ou Jue, could you share the reason behind your breakup with Sumr?"
Ou Jue sat there coldly, without responding.
Susan interjected, "Sumr’s personal behavior was improper, not to ntion that her relationship with Ou Jue had never received the approval of the family elders."
As soon as Susan spoke, the focus of the questions shifted entirely toward her.
"Ms. Susan, it’s been reported that more than a decade ago, you and your husband arranged a childhood betrothal with the Ou family. Is the engagent between Mr. Ou Jue and Miss Qianmo a result of this?"
Susan nodded. "That’s correct."
"Mrs. Ou, could we hear your perspective?"
Ou’s mother calmly spoke into the microphone, "Indeed, years ago, we had settled such an engagent with Mr. Ling."
Hearing this, Susan beca even more triumphant. She adjusted herself into a more comfortable posture, exuding the aura of a victor. Her gaze swept across the room before finally landing on the corner where Xia Zhiyun and Xiyan sat, both so furious their hair practically stood on end.
This mother-and-daughter pair—they really have co here to disgrace themselves, haven’t they?

The sound of shutters clicking echoed across the audience.
The reporters targeted Susan once again with a question, "Regarding Mr. Ling, can the widely publicized dispute between you and Sumr’s mother a while back be conclusively seen as clear-cut evidence of her deliberate attention-seeking behavior?"
