After a fit of shouting, Ou Jue furiously slamd the call disconnected.
Night had fully fallen, and the surrounding neon lights brightened the streets.
Leaning casually against his Lamborghini, the streetlights stretched his shadow long and lean.
His sharp fingers sank deep into his hair as he closed his eyes.
That fool... was she punishing him?
The next second, as if suddenly recalling sothing, he snapped open his clear, cold eyes.
Getting back in the car, he grabbed a notebook computer he always carried with him and opened a program, his fingers swiftly dancing over the keyboard.
Damn it, how could he have forgotten such an important clue?
Even if her phone was powered off, as long as he wanted to, he could pinpoint its location instantly.
Before long, the map on the computer screen locked onto a small red dot.

His gaze swept around the space as he raised his voice, "Xia Xiyan!"

Yet, that fool’s phone sat on the coffee table in the middle of the living room.
It was completely shut off.
Clutching her phone, Ou Jue felt his breathing quicken.
That fool didn’t even take her phone?
Had she really left this thoroughly?

It was already late into the night.
Xiyan sat on the rooftop terrace of a guesthouse, staring blankly at the night sky.
The place was tranquil, like an isolated paradise far removed from the world, with even more stars than in the city.
Soone quietly approached, a faint perfu carried over by the autumn breeze.
Xiyan’s lashes quivered, and she turned to look.
A long-haired girl in a simple dress pointed to the bench beside Xiyan. "May I sit here?"
The peace of the mont was interrupted. Supporting herself, Xiyan sat up straighter. "You may."
"Thank you." The girl replied politely, then took a seat. Glancing at Xiyan, she suddenly giggled, "Wearing sunglasses while stargazing? You must be the first person in history to do that."
Xiyan made an effort to lift the corners of her lips and pushed the sunglasses up onto her head.
She hadn’t wanted to wear them, but as a public figure, traveling freely wasn’t easy.
However, this girl didn’t seem to recognize her...
Taking a sip of her drink, Xiyan asked, "Are you here traveling too?"
"Sort of," Xiyan responded absent-mindedly.
" too," the girl smiled faintly, her smile naturally soothing. "I’m a backpacker, and I’ve been traveling alone through many countries."
