When they ca out carrying shopping bags, it unexpectedly started to drizzle outside.
Ou Jue parked the car above ground and turned around to instruct, "Wait here for , I’ll bring the car over."
Xiyan, like a little tail, wanted to follow him, "This little rain doesn’t matter."
Ou Jue’s tone brooked no argunt, "Wait."

Xiyan had no choice but to obediently stick her hands in her pockets and wait, kicking at the ground absentmindedly.
Who would have known, at this mont, her phone in the pocket suddenly vibrated.
Xiyan took it out and saw the remark was "Anna."
This was the girl she had encountered at an inn in that ancient town a few days ago when she was having a tiff with Ou Jue—a girl she felt a special connection with!
Later, after Xiyan accepted her friend request, they hadn’t chatted.
Xiyan curiously opened the ssage, finding she had sent a smiley face first, followed by so text: "Xiyan, are you near the East Gate of XX mall?"
No way?
Xiyan glanced around in surprise and replied, "How do you know?"
"I’m at your two o’clock direction, see the taxi parked at the roadside?"
She looked up and indeed, a taxi was parked at the roadside, hazard lights flashing.
A smiling girl was waving at her from afar.
Xiyan ran up to her, "How co you’re here? When did you arrive in City B?"
Strangely, even though this was just their second eting, the greeting felt like old friends reuniting.
Anna softly smiled, "City B is just a stopover for ; I’m about to leave, but I saw you coincidentally, so I wanted to co down to say hello."
"But I’m dressed like this, and you still recognized ?" Xiyan unbelievingly pointed at herself.
She was wearing a hat and a large mask, normally unrecognizable.
Yet, this girl she had only just t a few days ago managed to identify her.
"Actually, I’m not completely sure; I just felt it was you." Anna saw a drop of rain on Xiyan’s forehead and handed her a tissue from her bag, "Maybe it’s a special kind of intuition?"
Xiyan giggled, "How co it feels like we’re soulmates?"
She felt at ease with Anna; it was like friends, yet not quite, more a unique connection.
The taxi driver honked the horn.
Anna pointed at her car, "I have to go now. Let’s chat when we have the chance."
Xiyan nodded, watching her leave, then heard an angry voice behind her, "Xia Xiyan!"

Ou Jue, with a stern face, grabbed her arm and led her to the car.
Xiyan obediently followed; once inside the car, he took towels out and began drying her hair while starting to reckon, "I told you to wait at the entrance, but did my words go in one ear and out the other? Why’d you run off?"
Xiyan muttered, "I just t soone I knew..."
"Who’s so familiar that you’d run to the roadside in the rain to chat?"
"It’s a woman!"
"Even if it’s a woman, no." Ou Jue glared at her irritably, "There’s hardly a mont where I can feel at ease with you."
Xiyan itched to speak, "I’m not that delicate; a bit of rain won’t make catch a cold..."
The next second, under Ou Jue’s side-eye, she obediently shut her mouth.
