The heartless words were like a sharp dagger, stabbing repeatedly into the softest part of her heart.
It hurt terribly.
She didn’t even know what kind of expression she should be showing right now, "I just don’t believe it! The things you’re saying, I don’t believe a single word. Ou Jue... I don’t believe you don’t love anymore..."
He must have his reasons, right?
He must have his reasons.
"No denying it, I did like you before, very much." Ou Jue raised his eyebrows, looking at Xiyan’s expression of disbelief, a devilish smile appeared, yet it was so sarcastic, "But I’m not the sa person I was before, I really have grown to hate you now, understand? I’ve said everything that needs to be said. Stop saying you don’t believe, and stop humiliating yourself."
Saying this, Ou Jue pushed the car door open, leaving Xiyan behind.
Xiyan suddenly snapped back to reality, quickly following him out of the car, "Ou Jue!"
Ou Jue paused his steps, giving her a sidelong glance, "Still not giving up, huh? Insisting on humiliating yourself, huh? Fine, co with , just don’t regret it later."
He grabbed Xiyan’s arm, dragging her forward without any tenderness.
Dusk was tinting the horizon.
Inside the villa, Xia Zhiyun and Ling Chen were sitting on the sofa.
"Honey, now that Ou Jue has co back safe and sound, and Xiyan is fine too, shall we set off again? Or should we just confess everything to Xiyan directly?"
Ling Chen embraced Xia Zhiyun, his gaze sowhat distant, "Many children are sensitive about this topic, although Xiyan seems carefree, I worry she might overthink. Besides, whether we can find it or not is still unknown..."
"I’m just afraid that if she hears it from soone else later, she might bla us for not telling her the truth." Xia Zhiyun sighed lightly.
While they were chatting casually, a glance inadvertently noticed Anna quietly sitting on another sofa, browsing her phone.
The servants began serving dishes, while Ou’s mom and grandma were directing them.
Seemingly sensing Xia Zhiyun’s gaze, Anna gave her a polite smile, then stood up and walked toward the kitchen, "May I help with anything?"
"Oh dear, what are you doing here?" Grandma turned her head and quickly ushered the girl, "You don’t need to help, you’re our guest. Go, play outside, chat with Xiyan’s parents. You love traveling around, don’t you? Xiyan’s parents do too, they’ve been traveling globally non-stop. Honestly, if it weren’t for the incident with Xiyan and Ou Jue, they probably wouldn’t have returned ho yet."
Anna followed grandma’s gaze to Xia Zhiyun and Ling Chen behind her.
Returning to the sofa, Xia Zhiyun gave Anna a friendly smile, "You don’t look very old, traveling around at such a young age? Don’t you need to attend school?"
A hint of sadness flickered in Anna’s eyes, but she didn’t say much, just warmly smiled, "My parents are no longer with us. Since they passed away, I dropped out of school and have been traveling alone."
Unintentionally touching her sore spot, Xia Zhiyun quickly apologized, "I’m sorry, I didn’t know that, I didn’t an to make you sad."
"It’s alright." Her parents had passed away over a year ago.
Though ntioning it still brings sorrow, it’s much better now than when she would cry her heart out in the beginning.
