Xia Zhiyun looked at Xiyan and then at Anna, deeply concerned, "What on earth happened with you two children?"
Xiyan stood on the second floor looking downstairs, her expression unchanged.
She didn’t know what kind of expression she should be showing now.
Ling Chen and Ou Jue hurriedly crossed the stairs and rushed up, scanning Xiyan from head to toe, "Are you hurt anywhere?"
Xiyan pursed her lips, her gaze falling on Anna’s slightly swollen ankle.
Xia Zhiyun instinctively wanted to go upstairs too, but a soft sob ca from beside her.
She squatted down, half embracing Anna in her arms, looking up towards the second floor, "Xiyan isn’t hurt, right?"
"Aunt Xia, Anna’s the one who’s injured." Lisa pointed at the injury on Anna’s ankle, "Shouldn’t we hurry to the hospital for an X-ray? What if it’s a bone injury?"
Ou Jue’s eyes never left Xiyan, his thin lips moving, "Aunt Xia, Mr. Ling, you go to the hospital first. I’ll bring her over shortly."
Xia Zhiyun tried to help Anna up, "Try to see if you can stand up?"
Anna bit her lower lip, holding onto Xia Zhiyun’s hand, struggling to stand up, only to fall back down, "Ah... it hurts."
It truly seed like a bone injury from the looks of things.
At this point, she clearly needed soone to hold her.
Anna glanced hopefully at Ou Jue.
Xia Zhiyun hurriedly spoke, "Hubby, Chaoyan can’t walk, you should carry her."
"On it." Ling Chen took a few strides, picking up Anna in his arms.
Anna felt a bit disappointed, but still obediently let Ling Chen carry her.
Several people hurriedly walked outside.
Xia Zhiyun followed behind Ling Chen, suddenly seeming to rember sothing, turning her head, "Xiyan, you and Ou Jue follow us in the car."
Xiyan crossed her arms behind her back, "I know, mom, you go quickly."
At this mont, a deep voice ca over, "Show your hand."
Xiyan turned to look at the man standing next to her, looking innocent, "Why?"
Ou Jue’s handso face remained composed, pulling her arm that she had hidden behind her without further ado.
Then he pushed her sleeve up.
A clearly swollen area appeared.
Suddenly, all the space above the man’s nose turned somber.
His voice carried a hint of anger, "How long are you planning to pretend? You’re hurt, why didn’t you say anything?!"
"It’s just a small scratch." Xiyan shrugged indifferently, "It doesn’t hurt much."
The situation was chaotic earlier, she didn’t want her parents to worry about her injury.
Seeing this woman act so casually, Ou Jue was so infuriated his chest heaved slightly.
"You fool." He muttered through gritted teeth, lifting her straight into his arms.
As the world spun around, Xiyan found herself entirely in his arms.
She gasped, "What are you doing?"
He kept his face impassive.
"Put down." Xiyan struggled twice.
"Shut up." Ou Jue looked down at her, reprimanding, "You’re injured, can’t you just behave?"
Xiyan was speechless, "Dude, my arm is injured, not my leg."
Ou Jue strode out, carrying her, though his expression was extrely cold, his movents placing her inside the car were unprecedentedly gentle.
