Pill ford!
Ye Qiu put away the Fire Elental Pill. Soday, by consuming it, he would grasp a hint of fire’s Rule Power.
"Ti to deal with you!"
Ye Qiu’s gaze shifted to the dragon fish. This creature had tried to disturb him while he was practicing alchemy, but fortunately, he had set up a Formation beforehand to block its movents.
Now, with his hands free, Ye Qiu smirked. The dragon fish seed to sense danger, twisted its tail, and turned to flee.
Ye Qiu shouted, "Illusion Formation, appear."
Suddenly, an energy flickered in the water, and the water started to beco murky, as if smoke was rging into it.
Ye Qiu’s Formation wasn’t just one, but several. It seed to block the dragon fish’s attack, but in reality, Ye Qiu had also set up a Formation to deal with the dragon fish.
An unusual disturbance appeared in the water, and the dragon fish frantically swam around, escaping this place.
However, no matter where it swam, it couldn’t get out of the Formation’s range. Eventually, exhausted, it was captured by Ye Qiu and placed into his storage pouch.
With a Fire Elental Pill harvested and a red dragon fish captured, Ye Qiu’s trip certainly wasn’t in vain.
Ye Qiu initially planned to leave, but he turned back because he discovered what seed like a narrow passage on the other side of the Earth Fire Pool.
Driven by curiosity, Ye Qiu walked over, puzzled, gazing at the passage and murmuring, "Where does this lead to?"
Ye Qiu used his spiritual power to probe, but his face imdiately turned pale as the force suppressing spiritual power still existed, preventing his detection.
After hesitating for a while, Ye Qiu decided to venture in and see where it led. If he could encounter magical herbs containing Rule Power, it would be a big score.
Slowly entering, the passage was very dry, not humid at all, likely due to the Earth Fire. As Ye Qiu progressed, zigzagging all the way, the passage suddenly widened after ten minutes.
Exiting the passage, Ye Qiu found the space large and covered in glittering substances, embedded in the surrounding stone walls like diamonds.
It gave a splendid and magnificent feeling.
Ye Qiu felt this place didn’t seem ordinary, because those glittering things weren’t diamonds but supre Crystal Stones.
Could this be a supre Crystal Stone vein?
Ye Qiu frowned, thinking it unlikely, as these supre Crystal Stones seed intentionally gathered together.
He continued forward, surveying around, and suddenly froze.
What did he see?
Ye Qiu tensed all over, as if facing a great enemy, seeing a towering figure emitting an unparalleled aura.
This was a gigantic ancient beast, its body extending for dozens of ters, sowhat like the dinosaur era’s beasts, yet possessing four limbs. Though the limbs were short, they were exceptionally robust, especially the claws, emitting a sharp aura, seemingly a hundred tis sharper than the Kusanagi Sword.
This ancient beast just stood there motionless, already terrifying to imagine its wrath if truly provoked.
Ye Qiu felt like facing a formidable enemy, the sensation of danger this ancient beast gave him was overwhelming, more terrifying than facing Ji Batian, seemingly hopeless.
After a while, Ye Qiu sensed sothing off; the giant had remained motionless all along, which wasn’t right. Surely, it should’ve detected him.
Summoning courage, Ye Qiu cautiously approached. As he got closer, confirming the beast’s immobility, Ye Qiu discovered the real reason: the ancient beast was already dead.
A false alarm.
Ye Qiu wiped the cold sweat off his forehead. This lifeless for who knows how long ancient beast still had such prestige; its strength was unimaginable.
Standing before the beast, Ye Qiu finally examined it thoroughly. This was an ancient beast resembling a lizard, its entire skin a reddish hue, covered in scales, resembling armor worn on its body.
Even in death, this powerful ancient beast maintained its untouchable majesty, truly a king among ancient beasts.
Encountering this ancient beast, Ye Qiu realized it was more fitting to call it a beast god.
Swipe.
The Kusanagi Sword easily sliced across, emitting sparks with a hiss.
Ye Qiu stared, exclaiming, "It left not a scratch. This scale armor’s defensive power is astonishing."
"In life, this ancient beast must’ve been a very formidable entity. With such strong defensive power, leaving it here is wasteful. Better to make armor out of it, surely stronger than the soft armor I wear."
With this thought, Ye Qiu’s eyes glead and he imdiately began trying to pry the scales off the ancient beast.
Crunch, crunch...
Exhausting himself, Ye Qiu sat on the ground, realizing a mighty late-stage martial artist like himself couldn’t even remove a single scale. Was it possible the beast standing here could let him attack freely yet remain unscathed?
It felt too demoralizing that even a dead ancient beast left Ye Qiu helpless, such disappointnt.
"Cursed luck, it’s been dead for countless ages yet still as troubleso as in life."
Unable to remove scales, Ye Qiu’s armor plan was thwarted.
It was also impossible to retrieve the crystals inside, imagining this formidable even in death, its crystals would be imnsely valuable.
Utterly incalculable, more precious than any rare treasure to a martial artist.
What a pity, this treasure mountain lay before him, unattainable.
Ye Qiu surveyed the beast’s corpse, pondering solutions.
Yet he was curious about this creature’s cause of death.
"There’s no obvious fatal wound on its body, yet it succumbed here. What transpired back then?" Unable to remove scales, Ye Qiu grew curious.
Could it have been an even mightier existence’s assassin?
Ye Qiu tensed all over, if such strength existed, what sort of fierce creature would it be!
He dared not explore further.
Ye Qiu shook his head, deciding, "Since it’s undetachable, I’ll just take the entire ancient beast. There’ll surely be a chance to extract its scales and crystals."
With this thought, Ye Qiu tapped his waist, grabbing his storage pouch to collect the ancient beast’s corpse.
Just then, a string of bells rang, startling Ye Qiu into nearly dropping the pouch.
A little girl!
Ye Qiu didn’t need to think to know who appeared; the bells belonged to the little girl.
"Why are you here?"
The little girl’s voice resounded in Ye Qiu’s ear, carrying a touch of anger, so doubt, and much surprise.
Ye Qiu forced a smile and turned, saying, "A coincidence, purely a coincidence."
The little girl frowned deeply, her cute face suspicious, saying, "What are you scheming sneaking into my father’s tomb? Confess honestly."
What?
Ye Qiu was stunned; this mighty even in death ancient beast was the little girl’s father?
He had intended to extract so scales for armor and even planned to take the corpse for research.
Realizing this, Ye Qiu felt embarrassed, sensing how lucky he was not to put the corpse in his storage pouch; else the girl would’ve surely fought him!
Researching a beast god’s father and planning to make armor from its scales was sheer folly.
Ye Qiu wasn’t ready to die such a miserable death.
