After a frantic run, Ye Qiu hid in a low-lying area, concealing his breath within, constantly using the Great Turtle Breath Evasion Technique.

This was the only way to ensure he wouldn’t be discovered by the opponent.

Scanning his surroundings, Ye Qiu sadly realized that the moon was indeed not like Earth, not even a single tree.

Vast lands, nothing but dirt, there was really no place to hide, even finding a large rock was incredibly difficult.

As long as the distance wasn’t particularly far, just standing upright would make the opponent visible, which wasn’t favorable to Ye Qiu’s current situation.

This environnt, Ye Qiu couldn’t change, he could only keep a low profile, hoping not to be seen by the elder.

Otherwise, a battle would be unavoidable, and given his strength, the possibility of defeat was high, which was why Ye Qiu promptly fled.

After resting for a while, Ye Qiu thought of the Skeleton Warrior, he felt this death horn might help him fend off the elder’s attack.

"It’s a pity there are too few of them, if there were more, even if they couldn’t kill him, they could at least hold him back." Ye Qiu sighed.

After about twenty minutes, Ye Qiu moved again, striving to get away from the vicinity of the temple, thus evading the pursuit of the elder.

As Ye Qiu advanced, he noticed the light was getting dimr.

"Could I have reached the far side of the moon?" Ye Qiu mused.

The moon wasn’t a luminous body, it rely absorbed the sun’s rays, making humans on Earth believe it was the moon itself glowing; in reality, the moon, like Earth, is just an ordinary planet, only more barren, with harsher conditions preventing life.

Reaching the far side of the moon, Ye Qiu felt the air had gotten significantly more humid, he wondered, "Could there be a presence of water here?"

In human scientists’ exploration of the moon, it was discovered that a long ti ago, there had indeed been water existing on the moon.

But nowadays, one can only see traces left by the water, and not a hint of actual water.

And while the moon’s far side seems devoid of human footprints, at least ordinary people have never been here.

Ye Qiu ran wildly for thousands of miles, which on the moon was only a tiny distance.

Suddenly, the humidity grew heavier, and Ye Qiu noticed a change in terrain ahead, with many small mounds.

Ye Qiu slowed his pace, occasionally glancing back, vigilant of the elder’s pursuit.

"What is this place?"

Ye Qiu examined mound after mound; they appeared very small from the outside, less than ten feet, but the further inside he went, the larger the mounds grew.

Looking at these mounds, Ye Qiu felt a strange sensation, they looked just like graves.

"Could they really be graves?" Ye Qiu boldly speculated, but he couldn’t be certain.

Activating the perspective eye, Ye Qiu discovered a layer of black substance inside the mounds blocking his vision.

Not even his perspective eye could clearly discern what was buried within.

This was rather peculiar.

Ye Qiu pondered whether to personally dig and see, but before starting, he abandoned the idea.

Grave digging and tomb raiding were beyond him, this task was more suited for the purple-gold rat, unfortunately, it wasn’t around.

Ye Qiu continued inward; here the yin energy was heavy, even the air was damp, surrounded by dense fog, making it impossible to clearly see the range of the mounds at a glance.

As Ye Qiu reached the center of the mounds, he saw a giant tombstone with a row of special characters carved on it.

"It’s indeed a graveyard." Until the tombstone showed up, Ye Qiu finally confird these mounds were indeed grave markers without a doubt.

The grave with a tombstone was the tallest, resembling a mountain peak; Ye Qiu couldn’t imagine what kind of creature might be buried here to form such a large mound.

If humans were buried inside, they’d have to be giants.

Ye Qiu stayed in front of the enormous grave for a mont before continuing forward.

Soon afterward, he found at the end of the grave a rather sizable lake.

"Water?"

Ye Qiu’s throat moved, feeling sowhat thirsty, he quickly approached, but as he got closer, was stunned to discover this wasn’t rely a lake, and it wasn’t filled with water but rather blood!

A blood lake ford from accumulated blood.

Ye Qiu’s mind was greatly shocked, how much blood did it take to create such a blood lake was beyond comprehension.

Could it be...

Ye Qiu glanced at the mounds, was all this blood from the creatures buried in these graves?

Though he couldn’t be sure, it seed highly probable.

Despite not knowing how many years the blood lake had been forming, Ye Qiu detected no trace of a bloody scent.

Instead, a fragrance wafted from the blood lake, like a floral scent, eerily mysterious.

Suddenly, Ye Qiu’s gaze lingered on the edge of the blood lake, where he saw a patch of lush vegetation gently swaying toward the blood lake.

"Plants?"

Ye Qiu was slightly startled, it was the second type of plant he’d seen on the moon aside from the tree beneath the temple.

On each plant was a translucent red fruit, resembling a ruby, emitting a faint red glow.

Ye Qiu didn’t rush forward, cautiously approaching, in such a place, being careless might lead to sothing terrifying erging.

What on earth was this?

Ye Qiu examined the red fruit for a while, finally unable to resist picking it.

Pop.

Suddenly, blood splashed from the blood lake, an unknown creature leaped from the calm blood lake, ready to attack Ye Qiu.

Sensing danger, Ye Qiu suddenly withdrew his extended hand, stepping back swiftly.

Plop, plop.

Blood dripped as a humanoid creature crouched in a peculiar posture, eyes glowing red, staring at Ye Qiu.

"Monster?"

Ye Qiu’s heart skipped upon first sight; this unexpected figure was quite scary.

Part human, part ghost, with pallid skin, but possessed a green face and protruding fangs, long claws with glinting nails like ten blades.

"Could this be a vampire?" Ye Qiu felt the figure before him sowhat resembled the legendary vampire.

Loving blood, residing in this blood lake, seemingly only this type of mysterious creature could live this way.

This vampire-like being with an Oriental countenance looked at Ye Qiu, its head turning, seemingly thinking and scrutinizing.

It perceived Ye Qiu’s strength wasn’t weak, hence just stared at him without attacking imdiately.

What Ye Qiu didn’t know was, the entity he thought to be a vampire was actually a newly awakened sentient corpse, genuinely half-human, half-ghost, surviving on blood.

"It seems those red fruits are quite important to it." Ye Qiu glanced at the swaying fruits on the nearby vegetation, a thought flickering in his mind.
