The seven Archangels fell silent.

The other Archangels glanced at the Faith Pearl, their expressions hot with desire, yet they vanished instantly, knowing following God for so long, they were well aware that God’s punishnts were clear-cut.
“I hope you all use Kule and Oya’s example as a lesson. I need people who listen, not ones who act without thinking,” the youth said indifferently, his voice echoing throughout the chapel.
“We are willing to follow God’s will,” all the angels voiced in unison.
“Alright, be on your way.” With a wave of his hand, the seven Archangels disappeared from the chapel, leaving God sitting before his stone statue, his gaze deep and far-reaching.
He knew that by doing so, among the seven Archangels, there would be so with different thoughts, believing him to be too heartless. But who was he? Not a human, but God.
“A deity needs no sentints,” the youth declared.
Even if so among the seven Archangels bore him dissatisfaction, he was not concerned, “Since I can create you, I can destroy you. Disobedient puppets are destined for destruction. I hope you do not let down.”

Just as Gideon was about to absorb the Faith Pearl to enhance himself, a burst of dark light suddenly flared.

Gideon stood up abruptly, and a face manifested from the dark light.
A demon-like face, constantly shifting into various forms, each displaying a ferocious bloodthirsty expression. The only constant was the pair of horns atop its head.
Only a face made of black energy hovered in the air.
Seeing this terrifying face, Gideon frowned and said, “Satan!”
“Gideon.”
“I’ve already told you, I would not beco a fallen angel,” said Gideon.
“I’m not here to recruit you; I’m here to save you!”
Seeing Gideon’s puzzled expression, Satan said calmly, “If I hadn’t shown up, you might have absorbed the power within the Faith Pearl.”
Gideon did not refute, as that was indeed his intention.
“Gideon, I already know what happened today. That hypocritical fellow can abandon you all at any mont, yet you still loyally serve him. It’s just not worth it,” said Satan.
“Satan, are you trying to drive a wedge between and God?” Gideon remained expressionless as he spoke.
“I’ve already told you, he is a hypocrite, otherwise how could he abandon Kule and Oya, who risked their lives for him? I believe all you Archangels must have your thoughts.”
“Satan, you and I are on opposing sides. It’s already enough that I haven’t reported your awakening to God. If you attempt to drive a wedge between us again, I will have no hesitation in telling God about your existence,” Gideon warned.
Satan chuckled, “The fact that you haven’t imdiately reported shows that in your heart, you don’t wholly follow that hypocritical fellow. This demonstrates that we could very well turn from adversaries to friends.”
“He can make you stronger but has demands of you, while I, too, have the power to increase your strength without restrictions on you.”
“In this world, only the strong can live freely and enjoyably. Do you really want to live your life as a beast of burden for soone else?”
Gideon remained silent. Having lived so long, of course, he wished to control his own life. However, since becoming an angel, he had lost that freedom.
“Let’s get to the point: your Faith Pearl contains that fellow’s hidden thods. I advise against continuing to absorb it, as even if your strength increases, his control over you will also grow stronger,” said Satan.
These words startled Gideon. Could the Faith Pearl have a problem?

“Since you don’t believe , let prove it to you.” With that, Satan exerted a force on the Faith Pearl, and soon, a chain appeared.

“Gideon, do you still wish to serve such a master?”
“Join . I, too, will grant you power. Though I will have you perform tasks for , I won’t limit you.”
“Once we defeat that hypocritical fellow, I will grant you freedom then.”
“This faith chain bound for a thousand years, yet I freed myself. He cannot kill , and now, a thousand years have passed. It is ti for my revenge. I hope you consider carefully.”
“Just nod, and within lies the blood of the fallen, instantly granting you a new pair of wings,” said Satan, his words filled with temptation.
“You know Gui Er—she was ranked sixth among you, and now, as my subordinate, let’s say defeating you—is quite difficult with your current power.”
In Gideon’s mind, there floated the image of Gui Er, once a bright angel. Now, she had been removed from the ranks of the nine Archangels by God, joining Satan as a subordinate. Her bright wings had turned black, becoming a fallen angel.
“Gideon, join Lord Satan! Together, we could fight side by side again.” Gui Er slowly walked in from the cave entrance, her gaze fixed on Gideon.
Gideon’s eyes flickered, and he finally made his decision.
