131: 0129 sudden death 131: 0129 sudden death Longjia Group beca a focal point due to Shen ngchen taking charge, and every decision she made was under scrutiny.

As Longjia Group seed set to entirely fall into Shen ngchen’s hands, Wang Jianguo’s faction grew desperate.

Wang Jianguo himself was relatively calr, rely storming off in anger even when part of his own shares were cut off.

Even his own direct followers could not understand what was going through Wang Jianguo’s mind.

“The storm brews, overwhelming the building, but let the girl enjoy her few days of triumph!” These were the words with which Wang Jianguo consoled his faction.

Everyone was puzzled and did not know why Wang Jianguo was so composed.

Shen ngchen was very busy, almost too busy.

Her daily engagents were back-to-back, and Ye Qiu, as her personal bodyguard, naturally followed her to all her activities.

Continuous receptions, banquets, ribbon-cutting ceremonies, and such were attended by Shen ngchen.

She did not put on airs and attended each one of them.

Ye Qiu, always by her side, watched Shen ngchen chat and laugh with ease among the various business tycoons, silently marveling at how much the girl had grown up, even the last hint of her youthful naivety had vanished.

Shen ngchen progressed further and further on the path of a strong woman, only occasionally showing a hint of her tender girlish side.

After a busy week, Shen ngchen was sowhat exhausted and wanted to rest for a day.

However, a phone call made her drop everything and rush to the sanatorium.

“Father won’t be in trouble, will he, Ye Qiu?

My father won’t be in trouble, right?” Shen ngchen, grabbing Ye Qiu’s arm, her eyes brimming with tears, to which Ye Qiu, not wanting to deny her, comforted, “Mm, it’s okay, don’t worry.”

Ye Qiu patted Shen ngchen’s shoulder.

At that mont, Shen ngchen appeared like a helpless child, eliciting sympathy from anyone who saw her.

Ye Qiu had clearly heard, over the phone monts ago, that it wasn’t any good news, indicated by the sighs.

On the way, with prayers, Shen ngchen and Ye Qiu arrived at the sanatorium where Shen Tianlong was.

Before they even entered, the two saw Butler Liu standing at the doorway.

“Miss!” Butler Liu called out to Shen ngchen.

“How is my father?” Shen ngchen asked, her face clearly tense, fearing to hear bad news.

Butler Liu’s expression was somber, and he slowly said, “The master … he …”

“Has passed away.”

The final three words from Butler Liu hit Shen ngchen like a bolt from the blue, causing her to faint on the spot.

Ye Qiu quickly caught Shen ngchen, pinched her philtrum, and Shen ngchen slowly ca to.

“I need to see my father.” Shen ngchen said, her face devoid of any expression, as she quickly ran into the sanatorium.

It wasn’t until Shen ngchen saw the white cloth covering her father’s body that her body visibly shook, and her tears burst forth, suddenly collapsing onto the hospital bed.

“Miss, the master wouldn’t want you to be like this,” Butler Liu, also distressed, helped Shen ngchen up.

“Father was fine, how could he suddenly die!” Shen ngchen cried.

“Actually, the master’s health was always poor but he kept it from you, and wouldn’t let tell you either, fearing it would distract you.

However,” at this point, Butler Liu’s expression turned very serious: “Although the master’s illness was severe, he could have lasted a while longer.

His sudden passing is because soone had ill intentions towards the master.”

Hearing that her father’s death was suspicious, Shen ngchen suddenly beca alert, “Was the cause of death determined?”

“The cause is unclear, but the doctors said it definitely wasn’t due to the illness,” replied Butler Liu.

Hearing this, Ye Qiu said to Shen ngchen, “May I see Director Shen for the last ti?”

Shen ngchen nodded.

She too wanted to see, but she hadn’t had the courage to lift the white cloth, because once it confird that her father was dead, she would be utterly alone.

Ye Qiu slowly pulled back the white cloth, revealing Shen Tianlong’s face.

Shen ngchen cried even harder, her choking sobs breaking anyone’s heart.

Ye Qiu examined Shen Tianlong’s body, looked it over from head to toe, and noticed sothing telling.

At Shen Tianlong’s heart, Ye Qiu discovered a small red dot, his hand resting on it.

With a slight movent of his fingers, a thin white needle appeared in Ye Qiu’s hand.

Ye Qiu furrowed his brow as a torrent of emotion welled up inside him.

This needle’s position in the heart was all too familiar to him, for only the Hua Tuo Thirty-Six Needles detailed this particular point.

Besides Ye Qiu, soone else must be proficient with the Hua Tuo Thirty-Six Needles, he thought.

The butler looked on in astonishnt, suddenly realizing that it was this thin needle that had caused Shen Tianlong’s death.

“Imdiately check the surveillance footage, see who has entered this room!” Ye Qiu instructed the butler.

Realizing that they might find the murderer, the butler hurriedly went to retrieve the surveillance footage.

“Ye Qiu, you must avenge my father, find the murderer!” Shen ngchen helplessly threw herself into his arms, like a wounded little lamb, pitiful and desolate.

Though Shen ngchen had appeared strong these past few days, at that mont, she was just a child.

Before long, the butler returned.

Shen ngchen stopped her sobbing, now only wanting to find her father’s killer.

The three of them went to the surveillance room and identified a suspicious individual who had entered Shen Tianlong’s room.

“Rewind, yes, that person there, is he from your hospital?” Ye Qiu asked the sanatorium’s director.

“This man is not from our sanatorium, how could he be wearing our doctor’s attire?”

“The killer is him.” Ye Qiu stated with certainty as the surveillance footage zood in, revealing a blurry half-face.

A pair of slender eyes appeared on the screen, glinting with a cold light.

Even through the screen, everyone could feel a commanding presence emanating from those eyes.

Shen ngchen called the police, as her father’s unexpected death must prompt police intervention to apprehend the real culprit.

Shen ngchen had co to terms with her father’s sudden death, and now she was solely focused on finding the murderer.

The sanatorium director apologized profusely to Shen ngchen, but it did nothing to change her view of the sanatorium.

She demanded an explanation from them, as it was clear the sanatorium was implicated simply by having her father, the forr director of Longjia Group, murdered on its premises.

At the very least, they would face a charge of mismanagent.

Before long, the sound of a police siren was heard, stopping at the front of the sanatorium.

Upon seeing that the caller was Shen ngchen and Ye Qiu was also present, Lin Qiao’er instinctively paused and furrowed her brows.

“Why do I keep running into this guy?

Wherever he goes, trouble follows,” Lin Qiao’er thought to herself, briefly exchanging words with Shen ngchen before starting the investigation and collection of evidence, completely ignoring Ye Qiu as if he were invisible.

Shen ngchen had only one request for the police: to keep her father’s death under wraps, not wanting the news to spread quickly to everyone.

Lin Qiao’er nodded in agreent; the request was not unreasonable.

Ring, ring, ring…

Lin Qiao’er’s phone suddenly rang while she was gathering evidence.

After answering, her expression turned sowhat strange.

“A suicide jump?

Where did it happen?”

“Longjia Tower?”

Lin Qiao’er hung up the phone, her mood souring.

She had just dealt with a murder case, only to hear that soone had now committed suicide by jumping from a building.

“Soone jumped from Longjia Tower?” Shen ngchen suddenly froze.

“Yes, it was said to be an old employee of Longjia, who just fell to his death.” Upon hearing this, Shen ngchen’s head again thudded loudly.
