Chapter 1464: Chapter 1464: The Won Want to Train in Martial Arts?
Studying the Six Paths Gate, the ti seed to pass very briefly, but in reality, a few days slipped by in the blink of an eye.
Ye Qiu exited from his cultivation state, not by his own choice, but awakened by the chatter of several won.
Opening his eyes, he saw Shangguan Mingyue, Shen ngchen, Lin Qiao’er, and Mu Wanqing all right in front of him, staring at him in unison.
“What’s this all about?”
Ye Qiu was stunned, not knowing why all the won were staring at him today.
Surprisingly, the won gave him a unanimous answer: “We want to practice martial arts.”
“You all want to practice martial arts too?” Ye Qiu was surprised, wondering what had prompted these ladies to suddenly want to practice martial arts, and why they were so unanimous about it.
“Ye Qiu, I ask you, can practicing martial arts help maintain one’s appearance?” The first to speak was Shen ngchen, looking very serious.
Ye Qiu pondered for a while, seeing her serious expression, he didn’t dare to respond carelessly. He nodded and said, “If one’s martial arts attain a certain level, it can theoretically help preserve one’s looks.”
“Becoming a martial artist, can it extend one’s lifespan and prevent illnesses?” Lin Qiao’er promptly asked another question.
“Practicing martial arts inherently strengthens the body, naturally helping to maintain health and avoid sickness. As for extending lifespan, it’s not absolute, but as long as the practice doesn’t harm oneself, it’s theoretically beneficial for longevity.”
Hearing Ye Qiu’s response, the won exchanged a glance, all nodded, and in a prepared manner, they said in unison, “So, we want to practice martial arts.”
“Just to maintain your appearance and live longer?”
“Exactly.” The won replied firmly.
Ye Qiu couldn’t help but smile wryly, realizing the reasoning was quite sound. Although he had been thinking about finding a ti to let them enter the martial path, he was a bit worried that they wouldn’t be willing. But now, they took the initiative to learn martial arts.
This was indeed an excellent developnt.
The won had their own motives; the suggestion to practice martial arts was proposed by Shangguan Mingyue.
Initially, the other won didn’t understand, until Shangguan Mingyue laid out the pros and cons, making all the won align on the decision to practice martial arts.
If they didn’t practice martial arts, in the current environnt, Ye Qiu would have to spend part of his energy ensuring their safety; they didn’t want to hold him back.
On the other hand, as Ye Qiu’s strength grew, Shangguan Mingyue felt that he might one day leave them behind. What would they do then?
The only way was to walk the martial path together with Ye Qiu, following in his footsteps. Not only could they protect themselves, but they might also assist Ye Qiu, or at least not be a burden to him.
Furthermore, practicing martial arts could indeed help maintain one’s appearance and extend life. The won had done a lot of research on Wangyue Peak, targeting both martial artists of Wulin and those of ancient lands, pushing them to fill out a questionnaire.
This collective answer from the public further solidified their resolve, because one day, if Ye Qiu still looked youthful while they aged, it would indeed be quite awkward to be together.
“Alright, since you want to practice martial arts, I have to state one thing first: practicing martial arts is very tough and exhausting,” Ye Qiu said, giving a heads-up to avoid anyone complaining later.
“Hey, why are you looking at like that? I am determined to see it through this ti,” Shen ngchen said, dissatisfied with Ye Qiu’s gaze lingering on her the longest. She recalled her previous experience of learning martial arts with Ye Qiu and how she lacked persistence compared to Yinyin, ultimately giving up halfway.
Such embarrassing incidents, Shen ngchen would never admit to. Now, she was determined to persist this ti.
With the won wanting to practice martial arts, Ye Qiu naturally had to teach them personally, resulting in a striking scene on Wangyue Peak.
The won, dressed in white, stood in horse stances on the peak; the gentle breeze stirring their robes ford a picturesque sight.
“What are you staring at now, young girl?” Jin Shanshun asked, seeing his sister Jin Zhimo standing in a spot, lost in thought as she watched Ye Qiu teaching the won martial arts.
Jin Zhimo snapped back to reality, smiled awkwardly, “It’s nothing, nothing.”
“Really nothing?” Jin Shanshun asked.
Jin Zhimo huffed, “Of course it’s nothing. Alright, I’m going to do alchemy.”
Watching his sister hurriedly leave, Jin Shanshun, as her brother, could easily tell what she was thinking.
“This girl likes the young master, as if I can’t see it? I’m not going to stop you.”
“But, silently liking him like this, in the end, you’ll be the one in pain!”
Jin Shanshun sighed, not wanting to ddle in his sister’s emotions, yet not wanting her to get too involved either. Although Ye Qiu was excellent, he might not be the best match for his sister.
Besides, would the young master like his sister? Even if he did, it would probably be like a brother–sister affection.
Jin Shanshun wasn’t very experienced with matters of love; after thinking about it, his head started to ache, and he decided it was best to let things unfold naturally.
At first, practicing martial arts with the won often led to cries of exhaustion, but what Ye Qiu hadn’t expected was that despite their complaints, the won persisted, not wanting to concede defeat to one another.
Ye Qiu realized that in terms of martial arts practice, the won were competing amongst themselves, not wanting to be the first to fall behind, which imdiately increased the efficiency of their practice.
During the day, the won gritted their teeth and persevered, and as night fell, they couldn’t help but feel back aches and weariness. Ye Qiu provided them with so elixirs he’d refined during his free ti, and after taking them, the won no longer complained about pain and fatigue.
Ultimately, they were won, and Ye Qiu couldn’t bear to let them suffer too much. Moreover, adding so supplentary elixirs wouldn’t affect martial arts training, so Ye Qiu naturally wanted to provide the best conditions for them.
After the won went to sleep, Ye Qiu quietly left Wangyue Peak and went to Fang Sijie’s ho.
Unlike the other won, Fang Sijie had been at ho accompanying Yinyin all along.
Ye Qiu thought that since he was teaching the other won, Fang Sijie shouldn’t be left behind either.
Upon Ye Qiu’s arrival, though Fang Sijie said nothing verbally, a smile remained on her face.
Yinyin had long since gone to sleep, and Ye Qiu took out a few pills for Fang Sijie to take first, to gradually improve her physique. As for practicing martial arts, it wasn’t urgent.
“Stay tonight,” Fang Sijie said, resting her head on Ye Qiu’s chest.
Sensing the warmth of Fang Sijie’s cheek, Ye Qiu felt a stirring within him, recalling that previous shy mont with Fang Sijie.
He was relishing the mory, and now, attracted by Fang Sijie’s gesture, he couldn’t hold back any longer.
He lifted Fang Sijie into his arms and threw her onto the bed.
As the saying goes.
