On the peak of a mountain several miles away from Dan Shen Sect, Wu Yaizi gazed into the distance, filled with extre anger.
If it weren’t for the flower cat and black dog holding him back, he might have already lost control and returned to Dan Shen Sect to defend it alongside Ye Qiu.
Following Ye Qiu’s instructions, the flower cat and black dog secretly relocated the others from Dan Shen Sect to this place, avoiding the notice of other sects while keeping a constant watch on the movents at Dan Shen Sect’s gate.
"The Sect Leader didn’t want to implicate us, so he deliberately made us leave the sect to face three sects alone. Sect Leader, are you trying to make , Jin Xiaoshun, bla myself forever?"
"I, Jin Xiaoshun, am not soone who clings to life and fears death!" Jin Xiaoshun said with red eyes, lanting his inability to face the crisis together, his voice hoarse with self-reproach.
"Sect Leader Ye doesn’t want you to be in danger. He’s doing it for your own good," the flower cat said, transforming into a boyish form, speaking in a tender and delicate voice.
"But we’re not afraid," Jin Xiaoshun said stubbornly.
After a while, Jin Xiaoshun stared at the flower cat and the black dog and said, "You are powerful, why not help the Sect Leader?"
"Our task is to protect you, not defend Dan Shen Sect. We are not part of Dan Shen Sect, we chose to stay because of your Sect Leader," the flower cat said.
Jin Xiaoshun, feeling discontent, was about to say that they eat and live at Dan Shen Sect’s expense, but before he could speak, his words were stifled by Wu Yaizi’s hand.
Wu Yaizi placed his hand on Jin Xiaoshun and said, "Don’t bla them. The opponent is a Saint. Even if they stay at Dan Shen Sect, it will do no good, unless they too are in the Saint Realm; otherwise, no amount of Martial Artists will help."
Upon hearing this, Jin Xiaoshun said no more. Wu Yaizi, the retired Sect Leader, though he didn’t manage anything, still commanded Jin Xiaoshun’s respect. Since the old Sect Leader spoke, even if Jin Xiaoshun didn’t understand, he would accept it.
Wu Yaizi apologized to the flower cat and the black dog, hoping they wouldn’t mind. Indeed, they weren’t mbers of Dan Shen Sect. They chose to stay because of Ye Qiu. If they could help Ye Qiu defeat the Saint, they would certainly do so without Ye Qiu having to ask. Wu Yaizi understood this better than Jin Xiaoshun. Since Ye Qiu let them leave the sect, it was clear that their presence wouldn’t change anything and would be more of a hindrance.
Wu Yaizi, having seen much of the world and experienced the terrifying power of a Saint, wouldn’t bla others like Jin Xiaoshun. He felt most guilty towards Ye Qiu, who had brought significant change to Dan Shen Sect, steering it towards revival.
However, this rejuvenation cos with danger, posing a great crisis now borne by Ye Qiu alone, filling the old Sect Leader with deep regret.
Wu Yaizi knew that if they could get through this hurdle, Dan Shen Sect would surely shine again. With Ye Qiu’s alchemy skills, it wouldn’t take long for Dan Shen Sect to beco the leading sect in Qingfeng County.
If they couldn’t overco today’s challenge, Dan Shen Sect would revert to its forr obscurity, or worse, cease to exist entirely.
"May the heavens protect my Dan Shen Sect and help us overco this disaster."
"I, Wu Yaizi, am willing to trade my remaining life for the safety of Dan Shen Sect."
Wu Yaizi prayed silently, pleading to the heavens, hoping the divine would hear and fulfill his wish.

Ye Qiu vanished once more.
The Thousand Illusion Sage extended his Divine Sense around but found no trace.
"He must still be nearby." Surveying the surroundings, the Thousand Illusion Sage, recalling previous encounters where Ye Qiu vanished, suspected that either Ye Qiu possessed a potent hiding technique or a treasure that masked his presence.
A Cultivation Technique or treasure capable of evading a Saint’s detection is extraordinary indeed.
Either would be worth acquiring.
The Thousand Illusion Sage realized he had underestimated Ye Qiu, who could vanish right under a Saint’s scrutiny.

With this in mind, the Thousand Illusion Sage began indiscriminate attacks on his surroundings. Whether Ye Qiu relied on a Cultivation Technique or treasure to hide, he was surely within the formation, so the sage attacked broadly, leaving no corner unchecked, to force him out.
The Thousand Illusion Sage didn’t use much power; previously, it was Soul Power expended. Now, harnessing strength from his Dantian, he attacked aimlessly, recklessly.

After furiously bombarding one area, the Thousand Illusion Sage shifted to another direction, intent on compelling Ye Qiu to reveal himself through this brutish thod.
After spending considerable energy, the Thousand Illusion Sage paused for a mont, still finding no sign of Ye Qiu, as if he had disappeared without a trace. He had no idea that Ye Qiu was hiding inside the Tai Huang Bell. With its power, it could easily fend off a Saint’s attacks, even without Ye Qiu’s effort. The bell would automatically protect its master.
Thus, the Thousand Illusion Sage’s attacks were ineffectual against Ye Qiu, pointlessly consuming his energy.
The Thousand Illusion Sage’s rampant bombardnt was more a venting of his frustrations, a release of his anger over the loss of Soul Power and his own indignation.
Alas, Ye Qiu remained unseen throughout, leaving the sage’s venting unaddressed.
In the end, it was rely venting into emptiness.
Feeling the intense fluctuations around him, Ye Qiu, inside the Tai Huang Bell, sat cross-legged. The pills he swallowed transford into energy, fusing into his Dantian. After swift replenishnt, Ye Qiu’s strength recovered to eighty percent. He reopened his eyes, a smile crossing his face.
"Feeling upset because you couldn’t find ?"
With a slight sense, Ye Qiu knew that the Thousand Illusion Sage outside was frantically attacking because he was searching for Ye Qiu’s whereabouts.
"Since you’re so eager to see , I’ll just show myself." Ye Qiu smiled slightly.
Swoosh.
The mont Ye Qiu appeared, the air rippled, and the Thousand Illusion Sage sharply raised his head and shouted, "So you were hiding here."
"Old man, you’re getting so worked up that I’m really afraid if I don’t kill you, you’ll die of anger because you can’t find . That would be too tragic, and I intend to slay a Saint after all," Ye Qiu said from the void.
Facing the arrogant Ye Qiu, the Thousand Illusion Sage squinted, knowing that Ye Qiu wouldn’t appear unless he had regained considerable strength. He calmly said, "Don’t be so insolent. This ti, my soul is within my body, so that move won’t work on anymore."

In an instant, the skeletal hand drew near, grabbing at the Thousand Illusion Sage out of thin air.
The Thousand Illusion Sage was stunned for a mont, seeing that he was indeed fine, and imdiately mocked Ye Qiu, "I told you, my soul is back in my body, it’s useless to . Now that you’re out of cards, you can die."
Saying this, the Thousand Illusion Sage launched an attack.
However, this attack was easily blocked by a large soul body that suddenly surged out of Ye Qiu’s soul body.
The Thousand Illusion Sage was baffled; how could his attack be so easily blocked, and wasn’t Ye Qiu’s soul power injured?
Ye Qiu’s voice lightly echoed in the air: "Haven’t you realized, your attack was a soul attack?"
The Thousand Illusion Sage paused, then looked down, realizing to his shock that at so point, his soul had detached from his body, and he hadn’t noticed it, thinking he was delivering a physical attack.
In fact, his soul had already left his body the mont the skeletal hand grasped at him from the air.
"How is this possible..." The Thousand Illusion Sage wore an expression of disbelief.
Ye Qiu sneered, saying there’s nothing impossible about it; the Six Realms Gate could directly deal with soul bodies, and could even extract the soul body from the flesh.
At the last mont, realizing this truth, the Thousand Illusion Sage was naturally pulled towards the Six Realms Gate once again.
"Ye Fantian, you’ll never kill !" the Thousand Illusion Sage roared in anger. This ti, the skeletal hand grabbed his waist, locking him tightly, impossible to break free.
Ye Qiu nonchanlantly replied, "Don’t say I didn’t give you a chance. Quickly sever yourself, or else you’re completely finished."
Seeing this, the Thousand Illusion Sage didn’t dare hesitate and imdiately turned his hand into a blade, slashing at his waist. His lower half was instantly pulled into the Six Realms Gate by the skeletal hand, while his upper half fled upwards.
Yet at this mont, Ye Qiu’s voice echoed again: "Quickly recover now. I’m really curious if this ti you’ll end up beheading yourself."
Filled with anger and frustration, the Thousand Illusion Sage’s head flew wildly. anwhile, the skeletal hand appeared again, blocking his way, and with lightning speed, grabbed his neck, continuing to pull him towards the Six Realms Gate, truly testing Ye Qiu’s prediction of self-beheading.
Crack!
In a bid to survive, the Thousand Illusion Sage could only endure the pain to sever his own soul head.
His soul power plumted to rock bottom, even weaker than Ye Qiu’s soul.
The Thousand Illusion Sage had no more power to create a new soul body, just a head shaking wildly.
Regrettably, it still couldn’t escape the skeletal hand’s grasp once more.
The Thousand Illusion Sage went mad; how could he sever now, he didn’t even have hands left to try.
Faced with a Thousand Illusion Sage unable to self-sever, Ye Qiu waved a hand towards him and said, "It’s ti for you to go."
The Thousand Illusion Sage’s soul head continuously roared in anger, unwilling to accept that as a Saint, he would die at the hands of a Resurgence Realm martial artist.
Of course, if the Thousand Illusion Sage knew that Ye Qiu hadn’t even reached the Resurgence Realm, it’d infuriate him to death.
The skeletal hand drew the Thousand Illusion Sage’s head into the Six Realms Gate. At the last mont, the Thousand Illusion Sage was still shouting his dissatisfaction until the Six Realms Gate expelled a soul orb, leaving nothing else behind.
Gazing at the soul orb derived from the last remnants of the Thousand Illusion Sage’s soul power, Ye Qiu stood lost in thought for a long ti.
"I truly slew a Saint, a real Saint..."
