"Trying to probe into the Shadows, who really is this person?" After leaving the tavern, the man looked back several tis, fearing Ye Qiu might follow him. It was only when he had walked a good distance that he breathed a sigh of relief and began to wonder about Ye Qiu’s identity.

The man was well aware of the Shadows’ power; they were untouchable, and once they had an enemy, they wouldn’t stop until they had eliminated every last one of their foes.

This was the terrifying aspect of the Shadows.

Of course, ordinary people couldn’t co into contact with the Shadows. Only so moneyed patrons would find the Shadows and pay a price to eliminate those they wanted gone.

"If I report this person probing into the Shadows to them, they might reward sohow," the man thought.

He could divulge information about the Shadows to Ye Qiu, but deep down, he feared the Shadows greatly. Once the information got out, he was as good as dead and would surely be killed by a martial artist from the Shadows. The Shadows were not to be offended; even if he got his hands on Ye Qiu’s star coins, he wouldn’t live to spend them.

But if he profited from the Shadows’ side, it would be different. He would be aiding the Shadows, who wouldn’t kill him and would even thank him. Even if the benefit was small, he wouldn’t need to live in fear.

The more he thought about this, the better the idea seed.

After glancing back a few more tis and confirming that Ye Qiu hadn’t followed, the man quickly sped toward a branch of the Shadows.

The man was unaware that his every move was under Ye Qiu’s watch the entire ti. Without appearing, he could easily avoid the man’s detection and follow him.

Before long, Ye Qiu saw the man enter a shop. Ye Qiu, pretending to be a custor, also entered the shop. But once inside, he found that the previous man had disappeared.

This shop was peculiar.

After surveying quietly for a while, Ye Qiu walked out again and waited outside the shop, waiting for the man to reappear.

anwhile, Ye Qiu began using his spiritual power to probe the shop.

Suddenly, Ye Qiu’s expression shifted, and his spiritual power instantly retracted. Just a mont ago, a portion of his spiritual power had vanished, as if it had encountered sothing that dissolved it.

This force made Ye Qiu frown; the inability to probe with spiritual power made it even stranger.

Ye Qiu grew increasingly curious about the shop in front of him. What power did the shop the man entered truly represent?

Ye Qiu hadn’t foreseen that the person would head to a branch of the Shadows, and inadvertently, he had also found their branch.

The man didn’t appear for a long ti, and Ye Qiu was patient. He initially planned to catch the man in a deserted place, but the man had walked all the way here, and Ye Qiu hadn’t found a good opportunity, so he didn’t make a move right away.

At this point, as the man disappeared into the mysterious shop and even his spiritual power dared not probe lightly, it only indicated that this shop was extraordinary.

Ye Qiu decided to lie in wait at the door. He believed the man would reappear, and then he would understand what this shop represented.

After about half an incense stick’s ti, the man reappeared, accompanied by two other n.

When these two n appeared, Ye Qiu’s heart stirred, for he saw the chill that reached an extre in their eyes and the innate haughtiness.

"Even though their attire is ordinary, their temperant is exceptional. They look like assassins," Ye Qiu muttered to himself. He wasn’t in a hurry to act; he followed the three n, and soon, he discovered that the man led the two others back to the tavern where they had previously t.

Ye Qiu’s eyes flickered.

Then he heard the man’s voice from the front: "Lords, that guy was just here, asking about your Shadows. Fortunately, I was sensible and not blinded by star coins."

"Where is he?" The two n, exuding a cold aura, were displeased when they didn’t see Ye Qiu.

"He really was here just now; if you don’t believe , you can ask them. They can vouch for ; I wasn’t deceiving you. Even if you gave two guts, I wouldn’t dare lie," the man whimpered, not expecting Ye Qiu to have already left, making him bring people here in vain.

"Whether you’re lying or not, I’ll know soon enough." One of the two n, glaring at the terrified man, had his eyes gleaming brightly. In a mont, his gaze returned to normal, and he said to his companion, "Indeed, he hasn’t lied. I’ve morized that person’s appearance. Let check; perhaps he hasn’t gone far."

Just dozens of ters away, Ye Qiu’s heart jolted. He hadn’t expected this person to search another’s mory with soul power, directly seeing Ye Qiu’s form from the man’s mind.

Realizing it wasn’t good, Ye Qiu hurriedly wiped his face with his hand. Instantly, his appearance changed back to that of Ye Fentian, rather than how he appeared upon entering Luohé City this ti.

Re-entering Luohé City, Ye Qiu had thought for a long ti and decided to change his appearance again, not the sa as before, with so adjustnts on his previous face.

Yet, unexpectedly, soone rembered him. Just as Ye Qiu finished altering his look to that of Ye Fentian, a strong spiritual power scanned over him.

At this mont, along with his changing appearance, Ye Qiu’s aura also shifted. He was no longer in the Returning Ruins realm but presented as soone weaker in the Broken Void realm.

The formidable spiritual power swept over. Ye Qiu pretended not to know, avoiding attracting attention.

"Nothing found."

"Perhaps he’s gone far."

"Regardless, take this person back first." After a brief exchange, the two n took the informant with them. Ye Qiu noted that they returned to the shop, and after that, they never appeared again.

Ye Qiu stared at the shop for a while, pondering how this seemingly ordinary shop dispatched two martial artists in the Returning Ruins realm so discreetly. What kind of shop was this?

Ye Qiu couldn’t fathom it. While he was deep in thought, a gentle "Oh?" sound emanated.

"It’s you."

At that mont, a figure who had originally passed Ye Qiu suddenly turned back to speak to him.

Ye Qiu refocused and looked at the startled young man, slightly surprised.

Fang Wei had a profound mory of Ye Qiu. Previously, in that inn, he had clashed with Ye Qiu, almost resulting in a fight, which was only averted because Bai Muxue intervened.

"It really is you." Upon closer inspection, it indeed was Ye Qiu. Fang Wei’s emotions were complex; he had had differences with Ye Qiu. If not for noticing the dragon carriage later on, he wouldn’t have realized why Ye Qiu had an unusual identity. He intended to get closer to Ye Qiu, but the next day, Ye Qiu vanished.

Now, eting again in Luohé City.

"I’m sorry, you’ve got the wrong person. I don’t know you." To Fang Wei’s surprise, Ye Qiu directly stated he didn’t recognize him, causing an awkward mont.
