231: Clues 231: Clues “Zisong,” Wang Kun called out, not having seen Cui Zisong for many days.

He looked sowhat pale, but his eyes were bright and spirited as he wished him a happy birthday.

“Co here, let introduce you.

This is my old classmate, Cui Zisong.” Wang Kun stood between the two n.

Cui Zisong and Wang Zifeng exchanged glances, and Wang Zifeng took the initiative to say, “Wang Zifeng.”

Both were friends of Wang Kun, and they sat down together to start drinking.

“Zisong, you’ve been gone for such a long ti, where the hell did you disappear to?” Wang Kun asked.

A trace of unforgettable and painful mories flashed through Cui Zisong’s eyes.

If he hadn’t been strong enough to endure, he probably wouldn’t have had the chance to sit here now.

“Haha, let’s not talk about my stuff.

Today is your birthday, let’s just enjoy it to the fullest,” Cui Zisong changed the subject.

Wang Kun didn’t press further but felt a subtle change in Cui Zisong.

As to what had changed, he couldn’t guess.

The birthday party was filled with champagne and beautiful won, and everyone enjoyed the night.

As the star of the evening, Wang Kun sat on the sofa, looking at the won in the dance floor, their swaying bodies, their flying long hair, and smiled.

Wang Zifeng had been in a bad mood over the past two days, and he released his suppressed emotions tonight, having a blast, surrounded by won on both sides, which eased a lot of his stress and brightened his mood sowhat.

Cui Zisong, not as greedy, simply wanted to let off steam in his own way after enduring pain that ordinary people couldn’t stand.

He needed to remind himself that he was alive again.

Cui Zisong had a discerning eye and took a fancy to a rather attractive woman, pulling her into his embrace, his hands wandering freely.

Most of the rry people at the party were won.

As the n each chose a woman, the birthday party beca incredibly lively, and so corners even started to showcase scenes deserving of a mosaic blur.

On the street, a figure slowly approached, the streetlights stretching his shadow, his face shrouded in darkness.

Finally, he stopped in front of a high-end private club.

This must be the place.

Ye Qiu’s eyes shimred as if he could see through the walls and into the revelry inside.

As Ye Qiu slowly approached the entrance, two n in suits blocked his way, saying, “Please show your invitation.”

Ye Qiu didn’t have any invitation and shook his head.

“If you don’t have an invitation, you can’t co in,” both n said, asking Ye Qiu to leave.

Ye Qiu smiled at them, pretending to turn away, but suddenly, his fingertips moved swiftly, tapping each man on the shoulder, instantly pressing their pressure points and freezing them in place.

Ye Qiu then walked in as if nothing had happened.

Ye Qiu’s action did not alarm anyone inside, and the others, seeing that the n at the door didn’t stop Ye Qiu, naturally did not bother to stop him, and led Ye Qiu to the party room.

Upon entering, everyone was imrsed in the booming music, paying little attention to Ye Qiu, the newcor.

A few long-haired girls, seeing that Ye Qiu was alone, imdiately wrapped themselves around him.

With a light tap of his fingers, Ye Qiu knocked them out and placed them on the sofa.

He then stood in a corner on the edge, looking for Wang Zifeng’s figure.

Colorful lights filled the entire dance hall.

The won without male companions were playing the n’s roles, swaying their bodies, moving their hips to the music.

The scene before him, indeed, stirred so desire in Ye Qiu as well.

He was a normal man and felt a slight urge to throw himself among the won to enjoy himself.

But he maintained his composure, for he was not there for that; he was there to find Wang Zifeng.

Imagining these won as ghastly, rouged skeletons, Ye Qiu decided to ignore the won in front of him.

By focusing hard on Shen ngchen, Shangguan Hong, Chu Yao, and Lin Qiao’er, the girls he had interacted with, Ye Qiu’s mind felt a bit better, not possessed by wicked thoughts, until Shangguan Mingyue’s face erged in his mind, completely invigorating his spirits.

Why would he think of her?

Shaking his head, now was not the ti to think about these things; Ye Qiu did not find Wang Zifeng but spotted the protagonist of the evening, Wang Kun.

Wang Kun was already dead drunk, slumped on the sofa, still holding a wineglass, occasionally gulping down its contents.

Whether by coincidence or not, as Ye Qiu stared at Wang Kun, Wang Kun suddenly sat up, his gaze turning to Ye Qiu in the corner.

“I must be drunk,” Wang Kun shook his head, not believing that Ye Qiu would appear at his birthday party.

Wang Kun rubbed his eyes and looked intently again; why was it still that person’s face?

Seeing Wang Kun looking over, Ye Qiu did not avoid his gaze, instead, he looked back with a smile.

Wang Kun got up, convinced he was seeing things, that Ye Qiu couldn’t possibly be here.

Staggering towards him, it wasn’t until he was about one ter from Ye Qiu that he realized he wasn’t mistaken—it was really that damned guy.

“Why are you here?” Wang Kun said angrily.

“Hehe, Young Master Wang is celebrating his birthday; I’ve co to offer my blessings.

Don’t tell I’m not welco?” Ye Qiu said deliberately.

“Damn it, those useless guys can’t even guard a door,” Wang Kun’s drunkenness and lucidity each held on to half of him as he cursed loudly.

“You’re not welco here; I ask that you leave,” Wang Kun didn’t want to see Ye Qiu; just the sight of this guy irritated him.

“Don’t worry, after dealing with one thing, I’ll leave soon.” With a swift move, Ye Qiu rendered Wang Kun powerless, and he slumped down, entering a state of deep unconsciousness.

Ye Qiu casually dusted off his hands, still not seeing Wang Zifeng’s figure.

Suddenly, his ears twitched as he heard a scream—mixed with the cluttered music, nearly inaudible to anyone but Ye Qiu, whose keen ears caught sothing amiss.

He felt a presence emanating from the source of the sound, faint but definitely not that of an ordinary person.

This wild scent reminded him of a master he had once killed.

Suddenly, Ye Qiu employed his perspective eye and peered through the center of the dance floor following the source of the sound and scent.

Then, an image entered his mind: a creature with a human form, communicating with a woman.

The woman was terrified and had ruined her makeup; her scream was also smothered by the humanoid creature, preventing her from making any sound, forcing her to endure the other’s onslaught.

Ye Qiu watched this scene unfold, and suddenly, the humanoid creature turned its face as if it sensed soone watching, its body instantly transforming into the visage of a normal human.

Ye Qiu stared at this face, surprised to realize that he knew this person.

How could it be him!
