(Fourth update) 502: May 3rd, taught boxing!
(Fourth update) The Azure Dragon Mountain, covered in pristine white snow, was now being scaled by the officers, who, at Ye Qiu’s request, had shrugged off their thick clothes and were climbing towards the peak with bare arms.
Many were shivering, yet no one shrank back, for in front of them stood a figure doing the sa, who also rapidly surpassed everyone; that person was Ye Qiu.
The only one who hadn’t removed her clothes was Lin Qiao’er, but she wore little, just a single layer that was hardly effective against the bone-chilling cold.
All were treated without exception, and as an instructor, Ye Qiu led by example, acting as a role model.
Without any complaints, at this mont, everyone was driving towards the target ahead with all their might.
“Those who cannot reach the midway point of the mountain within twenty minutes will get no lunch today,” Ye Qiu had decreed, including himself in this rule, while so far less than a quarter of the ti had passed.
Figure after figure gritted their teeth, not only taking care with safety and enduring the cold but also maintaining speed, tirelessly moving upward.
Watching the faces below, Ye Qiu showed a hint of a smile.
Having been entrusted with their training, he naturally wouldn’t do a slipshod job; at a minimum, they must et his standards.
Wei Zidong, one of those who initially questioned Ye Qiu’s qualifications as an instructor, had by now lost his temper, but it must be said, his resolve was astounding, climbing faster than anyone, maintaining only a short distance behind even the most seasoned officers.
Wei Zidong fixed his gaze on the figure above.
He held back his frustration; having been bested in a prior spar, his pride was shattered.
Now, he refused to be looked down upon by Ye Qiu, wanting to catch up to the man and prove himself.
The training was silent, a test of persistence and endurance.
In that mont, Ye Qiu’s gaze was like a whip, driving anyone it fell upon to unconsciously push harder.
Sweat had already ford on Lin Qiao’er’s brow.
Touching the icy rock face, the piercing cold was even more biting than the wind in the twelfth lunar month.
As the only female officer there, she could have enjoyed so special treatnt, like a bit more ti or a less steep cliff to scale.
Lin Qiao’er declined any special treatnt, choosing instead to endure the sa conditions as everyone else.
As a female officer, she demonstrated a strength that silently impressed her male counterparts.
Twenty minutes later, everyone had reached the midway point of the mountain, panting heavily.
Despite being bare-chested, as the climb required maintaining unity between mind and body, many started feeling cold but grew less so over ti.
Upon stopping halfway, they even felt hot, with steam rising from their bodies and all the pores opening up from the intense exercise.
After distributing so water and beef jerky, Ye Qiu allowed for a ten-minute rest, then they resud their climb.
They all expected this result and quickly consud the beef jerky and water, swiftly replenishing their strength.
Ye Qiu still led the way.
His speed in climbing the mountain was rather frightening; moving like an ape, with a single grab and a hike of his feet, he’d ascend over two ters.
In this repeating fashion, he was standing on the summit in nearly three minutes.
Such speed was daunting, yet also ignited the fighting spirit in many.
Considering that each of them had graduated from the police academy and were robustly young, even the older officers were but thirty, in the pri of their lives.
If they were too slow, they would not even be able to surpass this hurdle themselves.
Every person was full of fighting spirit, their eyes reflecting a tenacious unwillingness to admit defeat.
This was exactly the effect Ye Qiu wanted; he was eager to see if these people were truly worth his effort to train them.
After everyone reached the summit, they were nearly spent to the point of collapse, with many lying down directly on the ground, ignoring the cold beneath them.
The first day of training was so harsh that it took everyone by surprise, yet to their astonishnt, they had all perford exceedingly well.
“Very good, rest in place for ten minutes,” Ye Qiu smiled as he watched everyone, here, he seed to be the most relaxed.
“What kind of training are we going to do next?” Lin Qiao’er asked, gasping for breath with her chest heaving dramatically.
The peaks that seed on the verge of bursting forth appeared ready to pop out with each gulp of air.
Lin Qiao’er’s question caught the attention of the others, and everyone looked towards Ye Qiu, wanting to know how he would continue to test them.
Ye Qiu gave a slight, pale smile, his white teeth sowhat dazzling, but the words that followed almost made everyone curse and howl in despair.
“Next, your task is to return from here, along the sa route, climb down, and the ti is still twenty minutes.”
Everyone’s faces twitched slightly at the corners of their mouths, but at this mont, no one objected.
If Ye Qiu said so, naturally, he would climb down with them.
It is easy to climb up a mountain but hard to go down.
Climbing up is one thing, and climbing down is another, yet the ti remained unchanged, causing many to curse Ye Qiu in their hearts for being abnormal.
Who could do it like him, climbing mountains as if walking on level ground, as if it were child’s play.
When Ye Qiu descended the mountain, he gave everyone another life-changing lesson.
In less than ten minutes, he went from the peak straight down to the foot of the mountain without even stopping halfway.
Everyone felt darkness before their eyes, feeling that having such an instructor was indeed a tragedy in life.
Being trained by him, it would be considered lucky to return to the police station unhard.
“I can definitely do it too,” Wei Zidong said, his shock not diminishing his fighting spirit.
He believed that with ti, he too could achieve what Ye Qiu had done.
By then, he would have the qualifications to stand before Ye Qiu and challenge him again.
Lin Qiao’er bit her lip, having chosen Ye Qiu’s rigorous training, she, as the police station’s outstanding officer for three consecutive years, couldn’t possibly fall behind.
Climb!
She must reach the foot of the mountain on ti.
So, as Ye Qiu lay comfortably on a large stone, whistling leisurely, only seven or eight of the thirty people had arrived at the foot of the mountain.
Seeing how comfortable Ye Qiu looked, they could only sigh and feel awe inside.
An hour later, all thirty people had reached the foot of the mountain, and looking back at their climb, it felt like a dream.
“Very good, apart from the five who exceeded the ti I set, everyone else did very well.”
“The five who exceeded the ti will not rest, follow this movent I’m doing, and hold it for half an hour, everyone else rest for half an hour,” Ye Qiu said indifferently, and the remaining twenty-five people sat on the ground, watching him perform a strange movent which the five followed without moving.
Half an hour later, Ye Qiu dusted off the dirt and snowflakes from himself and walked in front of everyone.
“Next, I will teach you a set of Body Refinent Boxing.” As soon as they heard that Ye Qiu was going to teach martial arts, including Lin Qiao’er and Wei Zidong, everyone’s eyes lit up.
