896: 0896 Curse?

(First Update) 896: 0896 Curse?

(First Update) Feeling Ye Qiu’s aura reaching an unimaginable level, Wei Ziqing revealed a look of terror.

Only then did he understand just how fearso Ye Qiu’s true strength was.

The Sect Leader of Rakshasa stared at the blackened Ye Qiu.

At first, his face showed confusion, followed by shock.

“This mark…

I’ve seen it sowhere before…” The Sect Leader of Rakshasa quickly recalled, feeling that the scene unfolding with Ye Qiu had appeared in his mind once upon a ti.

“A mysterious mark that amplifies power.

This is the curse imprint unique to the Du Gu clan—a lineage cursed by the heavens!” The Sect Leader muttered to himself, his gaze rapidly taking on an expression of astonishnt as he fixed it on Ye Qiu.

“You’re a descendant of the Du Gu clan?”

“You ask too many questions.” Ye Qiu didn’t reply.

With the blackened power, the Kusanagi Sword sliced through everything before him.

“This curse…

only the most talented geniuses of the Du Gu clan possess it.

So, you are truly one of their descendants.”

The Sect Leader of Rakshasa’s figure flickered as the blackened power brushed past him, his gaze toward Ye Qiu becoming increasingly peculiar.

Then he burst into laughter.

“You mock for indiscriminately killing the innocent—yet your Du Gu clan, those marked with this imprint, all end up walking down the path of bloodthirsty maniacs.

You won’t be any different!

Hahaha…”

Ye Qiu’s expression remained icy, but in his heart, he ntally noted the Sect Leader’s words.

His opponent had deduced his identity rely from the black mark on his body.

As expected, the Sect Leader of Rakshasa was no ordinary foe and appeared to have substantial knowledge of the Du Gu clan’s cursed imprint.

A curse…

“So the thing on is a curse?” Ye Qiu’s mind raced briefly, but now was not the ti to ponder this.

All he wanted was to kill the Sect Leader of Rakshasa.

Murderous intent swelled in his heart.

Ye Qiu charged suddenly, the Kusanagi Sword slicing to both sides.

Massive blasts of Sword Qi descended once again.

The Sect Leader of Rakshasa continued to counter with Rule Power, whether it was the rules of wind or fire.

Under his control, several tis, he shattered Ye Qiu’s attacks.

As the Kusanagi Sword failed repeatedly, Ye Qiu planted it into the ground and turned to unleash the Flood Dragon Devil Fist.

Dark energy surged as flood dragons roared and swam the heavens.

Under Ye Qiu’s intent, the black flood dragon lunged to bite the Sect Leader of Rakshasa.

Blow after blow from the Sect Leader struck the dragon’s body, dissipating the black energy bit by bit.

Ye Qiu’s gaze shifted as his aura transford once more.

At this mont, the sky seed to grow lower, an oppressive weight bearing down.

Large swathes of ominous clouds converged again, fierce winds rising, lifting sand and dust that swirled about Ye Qiu, his hair and robe flaring wildly.

He raised his hands, forming intricate seals, as if the shift in weather was tied to him.

Boom!

A thunderbolt crashed onto the earth below.

The Sect Leader of Rakshasa was shaken.

It was already shocking enough that Ye Qiu was a mber of the Du Gu clan, but now—what was this move he’d conjured?

The bolts of lightning fell in random and chaotic patterns, nearly striking the Sect Leader himself.

“Twelve Heavenly Calamities Technique!”

Ye Qiu spoke, and the sky had already blanketed itself with dense, low-hanging clouds, so close they seed within reach.

Lightning surrounded Ye Qiu, sotis streaking across his body, leaving Wei Ziqing in the distance trembling with fear.

“What kind of technique is this?

He’s not even afraid of lightning?” Wei Ziqing sensed that things were taking a turn for the worse.

He realized he should flee now, otherwise, if the Sect Leader of Rakshasa couldn’t fend off Ye Qiu in the coming clash, he’d be in grave danger.

For Ye Qiu considered him a traitor and would never let him go.

“Run.” Wei Ziqing bolted away imdiately, not daring to linger.

The oppressive feeling Ye Qiu gave him was far too terrifying.

One clearly at a legendary realm was exerting a pressure no lesser than one at the mythical realm.

It was beyond belief.

The Sect Leader of Rakshasa realized Ye Qiu had suddenly beco exceedingly difficult to deal with.

Especially now, he couldn’t discern what sort of technique Ye Qiu had unleashed.

The ominous storm clouds seed entirely under his control.

This wasn’t Rule Power—he could feel that.

But it was precisely this transformation of heaven and earth that left him certain Ye Qiu’s impending attack would be utterly frightening.

“Suppress!”

Ye Qiu raised a finger towards the Sect Leader of Rakshasa.

A colossal monunt descended from the heavens, much like the lightning, crashing suddenly toward the Sect Leader.

Boom!

The Sect Leader of Rakshasa narrowly evaded the descending monunt, staggering just slightly before he managed to escape its impact and letting out a sigh of relief.

But just as he relaxed, his expression stiffened.

Ye Qiu’s lips parted again, and even more colossal monunts began to rain down from the sky.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

The relentless barrage eventually left the Sect Leader in disarray.

Initially, he’d faced Ye Qiu with supre confidence, believing he held the upper hand.

But upon witnessing Ye Qiu’s blackened transformation, he’d been forced into surprise after surprise.

And now, the Sect Leader found himself stunned by this unfamiliar technique.

How could a Martial Artist at the legendary realm possess such formidable cultivation techniques?

The Sect Leader of Rakshasa had lived for many years, from an era of prodigies and countless cultivation thods.

Yet, in all his ti, he’d never observed techniques as powerful as those now displayed by Ye Qiu.

As the heavenly monunts continued their descent, the Sect Leader was left with no choice but to evade.

His Rule Power proved ineffectual against such numbers of colossal stones.

Each monunt that struck the ground created a massive crater.

If one were to hit a person directly, it would effortlessly turn them into pulp.

The Sect Leader realized that if he kept fleeing indefinitely, there would be no end in sight.

His gaze sharpened with determination—he prepared to approach Ye Qiu and attempt a swift, decisive kill.

Swish!

Swish!

Swish!

dodging the monunts as he moved ever closer to Ye Qiu, his speed was unparalleled.

After avoiding a dozen descending stones in one breath, he finally reached Ye Qiu.

“Die now.” The Sect Leader launched his attack without hesitation.

A descendant of the Du Gu clan marked with the curse—such a young man was destined to bring calamity.

Whether to him or the world at large, unless the curse was shattered and thrown off, Ye Qiu would beco the gravest of devils.

More violent, ruthless, and rciless than the Sect Leader himself—a maddened force of destruction.

“It’s best that you die now.

It’ll benefit everyone.

I certainly don’t wish to one day bow to you, living at your whim.

So, you might as well die here, right now,” said the Sect Leader, his hand now clutching an unknown short blade.

It emanated an edge so sharp that even without direct contact, it exuded an aura of mortal danger.

Swish!

The blade descended swiftly, aid directly at Ye Qiu’s waist.

Ye Qiu regarded him with a faint smile.

Swish!

The blade missed its mark.

The Sect Leader’s expression shifted in alarm as countless versions of Ye Qiu appeared before him.

“An illusion!” The Sect Leader realized he had fallen prey to another trick.

Without hesitation, he stabbed himself with his own blade, the pain instantly snapping him out of the wordless illusion.

But when he regained clarity, Ye Qiu had already disappeared from his sight.

From overhead, a calm voice descended.

“Today, I shall beco the heavenly monunt, suppressing the sun and moon, suppressing the heavens, suppressing all that exists!”

The Sect Leader of Rakshasa tilted his head back, only to see Ye Qiu himself transforming into an imnse heavenly monunt.

Darkness consud his vision, as the great monunt ca crashing down.

The Sect Leader was instantly struck, the earth quaking violently in its wake.
