After about an hour of flight, Wang Xiaoqiang felt slightly fatigued and intended to rest. Below was a varying terrain of high and low mountains, likely within Hunan. He reduced his speed, descended, and spotted a towering mountain peak to rest on briefly.
This mountain was a barren yet towering one, surrounded by other mountains with no households nor a trace of light.
The summit was pitch black. As soon as Wang Xiaoqiang descended, birds screeched in panic and flew up, with beasts growling. Had it been an ordinary person, they'd have been terrified.

The fierce beast ferociously lunged, seeing nothing but prey in front of it, caring little about what was held before it, daringly reckless.

On the still mountaintop, a pitiful howl echoed. The beast was split in half by Wang Xiaoqiang's Five Elents Immortal Sword, blood pooling on the ground.

Wang Xiaoqiang felt a surge of alertness, experiencing a creepy sensation on his back akin to an insect's presence. Even the patterned beast on his back growled in warning.
Wang Xiaoqiang's Physical Body erupted with power; a shockwave blasted from his entire body surface, yet couldn't dislodge the rune, which stubbornly remained.
By now, Wang Xiaoqiang confird the beast was definitely not an Earthling creature. Its ergence rely facilitated the rune's approach for an ambush. The rune now clung to him like adhesive, with his Physical Body unable to shake it off.
Wang Xiaoqiang howled, shaking his arms, unleashing his full body's force—both his Qi Refinent and Body Cultivation erupted, sending a shockwave that shattered the trees on the mountain into powder.
Almost causing a landslide.
Yet the bizarre rune remained fixed to his back, stubbornly unmoved.
