Apart from the sparse human presence, the scenery here is quite nice. The two of them walked along a small path, with fields of crops and vegetable greenhouses lining the road. Inside the greenhouses were out-of-season fresh vegetables. Wang Xiaoqiang entered one, casually picked a few tender eggplants, and put them into the Misou Ring, then picked so tomatoes and cucumbers to put in the ring as well, followed by two large waterlons, which he also tossed into the ring. When he ca out, however, he saw a man with glasses, hands on hips, blocking his path. "Thief, don't run, you've been caught red-handed..."
Damn it, it looked deserted, but at the crucial mont, a living person popped up...
Wang Xiaoqiang muttered.
"Thief, hand over the stolen vegetables," the guy with glasses barked nacingly.
Seeing that the man was neatly dressed and flashy, clearly not looking like a farr, Wang Xiaoqiang said, "You're trying to scam , right? This field isn't even yours."
"The field isn't mine, but it is my family's, my dad's land," the guy with glasses hollered back.
"Fine, even if it is yours, I was just visiting the field, not stealing your vegetables," Wang Xiaoqiang shrugged. "Look at my clothes, they can't hide any vegetables."
The bespectacled man circled around Wang Xiaoqiang, found no vegetables hidden on him, and then said, "This ti I'll let you off, scram."
With that, the man with glasses walked away.
"Little Qiang, thank goodness you didn't take any vegetables from people, or else you would have been caught as a thief," Liu Juyi walked over and heaved a long sigh of relief.
"Who says I didn't pick any." Upon Wang Xiaoqiang's willpower, a cucumber popped out from the ring. He held it in his hand, snapped it into two pieces, and handed one piece to Liu Juyi and kept one for himself. "Eat," he said.
"Don't let others see," Liu Juyi exclaid in alarm.
"Don't worry, if we get caught, we'll compensate them. If it really cos down to it, we'll just buy this whole plot of land," Wang Xiaoqiang said, carelessly flaunting his wealth.
"You may have a point." Liu Juyi, thinking of Wang Xiaoqiang's financial power, felt her worries were unnecessary.
"Hey, Little Qiang, where did you hide the vegetables just now?" asked Liu Juyi curiously.
"See this ring?" Wang Xiaoqiang touched the Suru Ring on his right middle finger. "They're hidden in here."
"What? How can you hide things in such a small ring?"
"This isn't an ordinary ring; it's a Storage Ring, like a warehouse. You can put things inside it," Wang Xiaoqiang explained.
"Really? That's amazing..." Liu Juyi's fair fingers toyed with the Suru Ring on Wang Xiaoqiang's finger, her eyes shining with excitent.
"Sister-in-law, do you want to take a look inside the ring?" Wang Xiaoqiang gazed at Liu Juyi.
"Little Qiang, stop calling sister-in-law," Liu Juyi furrowed her pretty brows.
"Uh, okay. I'm used to saying it, so it's a bit difficult to change," Wang Xiaoqiang said apologetically. "But if I don't call you sister-in-law, what should I call you?"
"Haven't I told you before? Call by my na," Liu Juyi flicked her eyes up, giving Wang Xiaoqiang a playful look.
"Alright then, from now on I'll call you Juyi," Wang Xiaoqiang agreed. "Do you want to go inside the ring and take a look?"
"I'd like to, but I'm scared," Liu Juyi admitted timidly.
"I'll go in with you," Wang Xiaoqiang pulled Liu Juyi into a grove of trees. "Let's go in together."
"You can go in, too? Where do you put the ring then, you can't let soone steal it," she asked.
"No worries," Wang Xiaoqiang smiled. "Co on, hold my hand and close your eyes."
Entering the ring was not with Wang Xiaoqiang's physical body, but with his Primordial Spirit, or Nascent Soul.
After Liu Juyi closed her eyes, Wang Xiaoqiang's Primordial Spirit left his body, taking Liu Juyi with him, entering the ring.
"Alright, you can open your eyes now," Wang Xiaoqiang said.
When Liu Juyi opened her eyes, she saw only darkness; she couldn't see anything in front of her.
"Little Qiang, are we inside the ring now?" she asked.
"Yes, we've entered the ring." Wang Xiaoqiang conjured a tal Elent Spiritual Energy, ford a Spiritual Energy Lamp, and hung it in the ring space, illuminating the interior of the ring at once.
Liu Juyi looked all around, seeing a vast expanse of space, with only the edges visible far in the distance, indeed resembling a large warehouse.
"Juyi, look, these are the fruits I just picked," Wang Xiaoqiang pointed at the fruits at their feet.
"Ah, indeed." Suddenly.
Whoosh.
A shadow darted over and stopped at Wang Xiaoqiang's feet, and a voice spoke, "Master, I am unworthy of your grand presence, this little beast failed to greet you from afar, please forgive ."
It was the Sea Dragon.
"Ah, isn't this the little beast from earlier?" Liu Juyi crouched down in surprise, staring at the Sea Dragon.
"What do you an 'little'? I'm not small; I'm the largest beast in the world," the Sea Dragon retorted indignantly.
"What, you claim to be the largest beast in the world, even bigger than a whale? That's quite the joke," she quipped.
"Don't believe ? Then I'll transform and show you." The Sea Dragon said, and then quickly moved back, heading to the center of the ring. He shouted, "Change."
Whoosh whoosh...
The Sea Dragon's body began to grow.
First, it grew as big as a tiger.
Then it looked at Liu Juyi and asked, "Is this big enough for you?"
Watching the Sea Dragon, Little Ju Yi was sowhat afraid and instinctively leaned closer to Wang Xiaoqiang.
The Sea Dragon didn't reply but let out a sound and then...
Whoosh, whoosh.
Turned into the size of an elephant.
Seeing the beast before her, Liu Juyi hid behind Wang Xiaoqiang.
Change again.
The Sea Dragon bellowed once more.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...
It beca as big as a dinosaur. No, even bigger than a dinosaur.
As large as five or six houses.
Looking at the terrifying giant beast before her, Liu Juyi trembled, laid behind Wang Xiaoqiang, and held onto him tightly.
"That's enough, Sea Dragon, change back," Wang Xiaoqiang, not wanting to scare Liu Juyi, shouted at the Sea Dragon.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...
The gigantic body of the Sea Dragon began to deflate like a balloon, slowly shrinking until it was the size of a small cat again.
In a flash, it sprang to Wang Xiaoqiang's feet and said to Liu Juyi, "Do you still think I'm small?"
Although the Sea Dragon changed back, the mory of its massive size made Liu Juyi still afraid. She held onto Wang Xiaoqiang tightly and did not let go, nor dared to reply to the Sea Dragon.
"Alright, Sea Dragon, you're very big, but you're going to venture out again," Wang Xiaoqiang said.
"Venture out?"
"Yes, go out and help catch so ga. I want to roast them for food."
"Okay, Master. I'm on it."
In a flash, the Sea Dragon collided with the ring.
With a bang, it fell back down.
"Why the hurry? You can't get out without my willpower," said Wang Xiaoqiang. With a thought, he allowed the Sea Dragon to exit the ring.
"Little Qiang, it, it's gone," Liu Juyi said, uneasy.
"Yes. It's gone. There's no need to be afraid," Wang Xiaoqiang replied.
"Then, let's go out too."
"Okay," said Wang Xiaoqiang, "close your eyes."
Liu Juyi closed her eyes.
Then, the two of them exited the ring.
Wang Xiaoqiang's Primordial Spirit returned to its place, and seeing Liu Juyi still hugging him with her eyes closed, he said, "Alright, we're out."
Liu Juyi opened her eyes to see they were outside, but she was still hugging Little Qiang, and her pretty face flushed red.
She hurriedly let go of him.
"Little Qiang, I've really broadened my horizons this ti," said Liu Juyi, trying to break the awkwardness.
"There are even more magical things. In the future, I'll pass on the thod of Cultivation to you. Once you cultivate to a certain level, you'll be able to fly in the sky like birds, swim in the ocean like fish, and even if you want to visit the moon, it will definitely not be a problem," he explained.
"Really? Oh my god, that would be so wonderful," Liu Juyi said with her hands over her chest, excited and hopeful.
"Okay, that's for the future. Cultivating is like fishing; it can't be rushed," said Wang Xiaoqiang, "Now our task is to make barbecue and fill our stomachs."
"Leave that to . I've roasted plenty of sweet potatoes when I was younger," said Liu Juyi, "but there are no sweet potatoes here."
"Let look around." Wang Xiaoqiang activated his Divine Sense, searched around, and quickly located a patch of sweet potatoes. He then took Liu Juyi to dig for sweet potatoes.
Just like Liu Juyi, Wang Xiaoqiang had roasted many sweet potatoes in his childhood. They would often gather with three or five friends to sneak into the fields and steal sweet potatoes. After taking the sweet potatoes, they divided the work: so collected firewood, and others were responsible for digging a fire pit. Once the fire pit was dug and the firewood collected, they set the firewood alight in the pit and placed the sweet potatoes on top to roast. Roasting sweet potatoes required careful heat control—too much heat, and they would turn out burnt on the outside and raw inside.
After digging up sweet potatoes, the Sea Dragon had already returned, having caught a wolf. It had skinned the wolf and brought it to them.
Wang Xiaoqiang washed it with Water Elent Spiritual Qi and then began roasting the sweet potatoes and the wolf at.
It was his first ti roasting wolf at, but with his experience of roasting sweet potatoes, Wang Xiaoqiang wasn't at a complete loss. Nonetheless, roasting at was different from sweet potatoes, and he bungled the first piece of wolf at, which ca out burnt and flavorless because he forgot to add salt and seasoning.
After wasting one piece of at, Wang Xiaoqiang learned his lesson. He imdiately had Liu Juyi prepare oil, seasoning, and salt.
Once oil, seasoning, and salt were ready, Wang Xiaoqiang sared the wolf at with oil, then placed it over the fire to roast. Once the at developed a buttery crust, Wang Xiaoqiang took the seasonings and salt from Liu Juyi's hand and sprinkled them evenly over the at before roasting it so more. When the at turned a dark red, he applied another layer of oil, seasoned it with more salt and spices, and roasted it for another five minutes.
Only when the savory aroma of the cooked at wafted through the air did Wang Xiaoqiang take it off the fire. He then took another piece of wolf at to roast. With his previous experience, the next piece ca out much better; the at was delicious and fragrant.
Carrying the aromatic wolf at, Wang Xiaoqiang and Liu Juyi returned to their room at the inn to enjoy the feast. The leftover wolf at was fed to the Sea Dragon.
Rosted wolf at, sweet potatoes, waterlon, cucumber, and tomatoes lay spread out on the table in the room, and Wang Xiaoqiang took out a jug of ancient wine from the depths of the Suru Ring. After opening it, he started to gobble it up with Liu Juyi.
With the delicious barbecue, the thousand-year-old vintage wine, and sitting opposite a cute and close 'sister-in-law,' a charming lady, Wang Xiaoqiang savored the bliss of life once again.
