Rin and Erix looked at the giant Rotten Maw and then at Leiro as he mocked them.
"It can't be…" Erix muttered.
"She won't die. Not that easily," Rin gritted her teeth.
A waterlon-sized orb was floating between them, which was the skill they had prepared. The orb beca slightly unstable as Rin and Erix were stressed at this sudden developnt, but they quickly snapped awake and resud control.
"She is dead," Leiro sneered," If not, she will die soo-"
*Boom!*
Suddenly, a giant white flower appeared in the sky before. In the middle of the flower was Lily. Her eyes were white, and her aura was fully exposed before she, the giant Lotus-like flower, released a beam at the Rotten Maw.
The giant Rotten Maw exploded before a huge stream of dark red threads whirling black and dark silver motes flooded Leiro like a river, quickly interlacing threads around him and sealing him in several layers.
Lilith's half-body was entirely decayed, but her aura burned bright, and her palms were stationed forward as she pulled out the handle of her umbrella.
Rin and Erix knew this was the chance, and Lilith didn't have much ti.
Both of them controlled and shot the orb toward Leiro as the threads trapping him decayed while a trembling roar echoed everywhere.
Leiro roared, bursting out of the thread-prison cocoon as countless tiny rotten maws ate away Lilith's trapping threads.
But before he could do more, he saw a strange silvery-purple orb with a golden spark arriving before him.
'What the fuck is this now?' Leiro thought and was about to unleash his decaying breath, but then the orb blinked and vanished.
'This…' Leiro felt his everything slowing down and space becoming sticky.
A crackling whip-like sound echoed in a chain around him as his limbs were forcefully wrapped into multiple layers of chroance flow and Nihilir strings that produce dark silver threads and stuck to Space Limbo.
In front of him was Lilith, holding an empty handle that soon welcod a curvy snake-like dagger blade. Crystalized dark green material with black spots inside that pulsed creepily.
As soon as he saw that, Leiro knew that he was in a precarious situation.
'What the fuck is this power of ti and space?! But I can still exhaust these bindings and break it!'
'Arghhh!'
Lilith's energies infused into the dagger while its blade swiftly lengthened to two ters long, weaved by the five crystals that released finely woven energy threads.
The extender blade Lilith created was also empowered by the mysterious dagger. Her soul essence was consud rapidly, along with her energies to activate the dagger.
The internal damage was wreaking havoc inside her, decaying her organs and her recovery skill's energy that was trying to resist the decay, but she gritted her teeth and maintained control before releasing the dagger.
Lily exhausted the rest of the formation's energy and attacked the tiny rotten maws with beams that were eating away at and decaying Rin's and Erix's control-type combo skill's effects.
'No. No. No!'
The extended pulsing blade had the power of all her main five elents, bearing her strongest attack that was even more buffed by the Tier-8 dagger's blade, her trump card.
It shot towards Leio, straight at its head.
'Those fucking ants!' Leiro registered Rin and Erix in his sense's range. He couldn't escape because of those two damn ants, and this dagger was going to hit him!
He wouldn't die permanently, but over half of his soul that he summoned here would die!
His aura burst, trying to decay the spiraling chronace flow around his limbs contained by space and the whole space around him that was half into the Limbo.
"Arghhh!"
The dagger arrived, and Leiro knew he wouldn't be able to dodge, but…he could still attack outside of this ssed up trap around him!
'I will not let you go! You damn ants!' Leiro raged, bubbling with anger.
Lilith's consciousness was still active and focused, as she knew not to relax until the enemy completely died, and she confird it, especially a strange entity like Leiro. _emp _yr.
Her senses captured Leiro's focus shifting from her and an aura erging at a particular position.
'No!' Lilith's pupils shrank to the extre, and she exerted her maximum strength and power, turning into a stream and shooting toward Rin and Erix.
*Clamp! Snap!*
A force suddenly pushed Rin and Erix before they saw it was Lilith.
Everything was happening too fast, from Lilith erging from the giant Rotten Maw to Rin and Erix hitting Leiro to Leiro deciding to kill Rin and Erix, knowing his attempt to escape from the dagger would be futile, to Lilith sensing his intention and energy and using her all to save Rin and Erix.
All of that only took a second.
"Lilith!" Erix shouted, quickly taking out healing potions and pouring them on her injured side.
"No…" Rin clenched her fist, but she also quickly used her Chronace Flow to affect ti on Lilith, slowing down her injuries and decaying.
Her legs were entirely gone from the knee part in an attempt to save them.
"I'm fine," Lilith smiled, but it looked horrible since half of her face was decayed, and the other half had blood and skin cracked.
She took out a pill from her hunter card and put it into her mouth.
Lily swiftly arrived at them.
"Lady Lilith!"
When she saw Lilith was fine and recovering, she finally heaved a sigh.
"What about the enemy?" Lilith asked as she sat cross-legged and focused, recovering with her eyes closed. 'I exhausted a lot of things, but….'
Lilith's aura started turning volatile, and a smile started spreading across her face.
Erix put his hands on her back and closed his eyes, "Do you need so pure Death power?"
"Thank you, and I would also like so of your essences, but let's return to the cave first, "Lilith took a deep breath and stabilized her aura before standing up with newly regenerated legs.
"You're injuries…" Rin bit her lips.
They could sense Lilith's vitality was still low, and the decaying power was still fighting inside her, but it was slowly getting chipped away and removed.
Lilith widely grinned and pinched Rin's and Erix's cheeks, "Worry not, my savage cuties. How could I let you die like that?"
"As for the enemy, he is dead. That dagger blade was a one-ti-use item. After this use, it would've shattered, and Leiro's residual power must have completely decayed it."
"But we have to retrieve sothing he left behind," Lilith's eyes glinted.
