76 tal Diabolicus, Whiff of Ambitions
Leo was confident. This dagger was his active class skill, Infernal Stab. His genuine, most powerful attack!
And the ability to exchange places was a Tier-1 skill, Dinsional Exchange. It allowed him to exchange places with anything that contained his mana within fifty ters radius around him.
He practically considered himself invisible after awakening his class, Infernal Blood Ranger; that was the pure offense.
In other words, if that dagger succeeded in stabbing Erix's head, his HP would reduce to 0%, without any doubts.
'I win.' Leo grinned. His dagger was just a hair's length away from touching Erix's temple and blasting his brains.
*Thud!*
"Good move."
Erix's tacyber arm had tightly gripped Leo's wrist, not letting him cross that tiny distance.
Leo's smile stiffened. *Smash!* *Snap!*
Erix punched Leo with lightning-fast speed but didn't let him shoot up. Simultaneously, he snapped his finger, indicating his skill's activation.
With that single snap, Leo's world darkened.
A burst of iron elents produced on Erix's command forged into a body-tight tal suit on Leo's body without his position changing.
His legs stayed wide, the left one slightly bent and the right one straight. Both his arms also froze in the tal suit while keeping their position. The left arm facing his feet, and the right arm in a stabbing motion. But he was covered by painfully tight tal armor, empowered by mana at its every nook and cranny.
Leo couldn't see anything nor breathe in the air-tight armor suit.
"Arghhhhh!" Leo exerted his strength and tried to use the skill, but his arms were suddenly stabbed by ten tal spikes produced from the tal armor, causing him to cry in pain.
"I call this body prison," Erix smiled as he opened up space on the face area for Leo to breathe and see.
Leo quieted down and took gasps of breath. His hazy eyes soon cleared Erix's face in his vision, and a chill ran down his spine.
"You see, I just recently created this skill. A pre-made structure with thousand nodes so flexible that I can shape them into anything and empower the dium to a certain extent based on the structure quality of my formation."
"It's not really impressive in a basic sense because it has no offense or defense or anything particularly powerful…unless I pair it with my tal Affinity-"
Erix paused, grinned, and snapped his finger again, "-and with tal, it becos lethal.'
Leo's eyes widened in both fear and awe.
*Kacha…Triiii!*
The tal body prison that trapped Leo vibrated intensely before nurous tal spikes pierced Leo's entire body at once, even piercing out from the whole tal body prison for the audience below to see…as blood poured like a waterfall from the gaps.
[ Duel Off! The Winner is Erix!]
[ Congratulations, you have gained 10 Mystic coins. ]
Imdiately after that, Erix's new skill vanished, and he recovered his lost mana. Leo's mangled body also recovered before everyone's eyes. From dead to a tiptop condition, reverting his state to the sa as before the duel started!
Afterward, Erix and Leo got a private notification. [You may get rewards from more duels today. ]
Erix didn't even spare any glance at Leo and used his skill, tal Diabolicus, again.
"Next!"
Everyone below saw a four-ter-tall slender tal suit with silver and gray patterns, with Erix inside.
This tal structure was condensed via a magic-based phenonon and connected the control threads to his skin, aning his tal suit was as easy to control as his body.
"H-Hey, what about ?" Leo said, his words causing many below to nod.
"Didn't you see the notification?" Erix turned to Leo with a frown. "I nulled the contract by freeing you. You are not my subordinate or anything."
"W-what?! What do you an?" Leo asked as his lips trembled. First, shock and then fury settled in.
"Get a hint, mate," Erix helplessly smiled. "You are not worthy. In gar's terms, you suck, so I don't want you."
"Erix!" Rin flew up with her Lightning Spark wings and said sothing to Erix after floating beside him.
anwhile, her appearance caused another wave of talk among the crowd as many recognized her. Moreover, the public had increased to roughly three hundred people from the initial one hundred.
Erix nodded at Rin after hearing her and turned to the horde below. "Everyone!"
The crowd turned quiet to listen. "Good news is that you can officially duel and co out unscathed, so form a party of three or less if you are confident and et us here again at six in the evening."
Rin grinned and continued after Erix was finished, "If you are good, we'll make you official mbers. And If you can defeat us, you make the choice, but no more conditional duels. I don't want to form the contract and free every loser I beat."
An uproar ensued, and this was the effect that Erix wanted.
"Wait, you are not going to fight now?!"
"You are saying we can beco official mbers if we beat the lady?"
Everyone turned quiet to hear the response.
Rin was speechless and crossed her arms. "You, form a team of three and co up. If you can't fly, I'll co down."
Rin took out her Blade Eater in Butcher's festive sword form, lengthened it to ten ters long by consuming blade energy, and put it on her shoulder before a loud thundering rumble echoed as she empowered her weapon and herself with lightning charge.
"If you don't get butchered in five seconds, I'll let you join the guild," Rin moved her sword as her big lightning wings flapped once, and she slightly descended while pointing her sword below, right at the fatty who spoke the second question.
Everyone quickly scattered away from the round-belly guy who looked like he was in his thirties. "I-I'll make my team and wait here in the evening, Miss," said the guy while his legs shook. The lightning flickering in the sword was so close to him that he almost pissed his pants.
"Good," Rin took back her sword with a snort.
"We will not hold the entry examination at this mont," Erix replied while shaking his head. "Think of it like I am giving you more ti to prepare. The new addition we got is the Duel function, so form a proper party of three before we return in the evening for battle."
Erix and Rin descended after that and sat on Sangle before flying towards the Labyrinth Tower.
The core individuals of other guilds also watched the whole thing from the sides, and all of them got a whiff from them, similar to what their leaders oozed out all the ti.
Whiff of Ambitions.
