Kuang Ling spoke scornfully, "You brat, you’ll be tornted to death in my array. Right now, I just need to sit back and wait!"
"Hahaha! I’ve spent a month setting this up in your Heavenly King Hall. Are you pleased with such a gift?" Kuang Ling laughed wildly at Ye Fan. Filled with malicious joy and a boundless sense of accomplishnt, Kuang Ling knew he would be the one to slay the archenemy of the Divine Race. In doing so, he would also earn the chance to beco one of them.
But Ye Fan simply responded, "Is that so?"
He rushed forward to attack, but in the face of these innocent souls, he ultimately held back. Even if he had struck, it might have been useless. This was the reality of the situation. And to think Kuang Ling had been plotting for so long!
Growing impatient, Kuang Ling said, "I originally planned to wear you down slowly, but I’ve run out of patience. Skull Formation!"
As he roared, a giant skull materialized before Ye Fan. This massive skeleton, ford from tens of thousands of wailing and roaring Resentful Spirits, charged at him.
BOOM!
The skeleton struck down with its palm. Ye Fan quickly dodged, barely avoiding being devoured. Though he managed to hold on, he still spat out a mouthful of blood. Trapped within the array, his situation was far from optimistic.
With Kuang Ling now commanding from the center of the giant skull above, its power multiplied severalfold. He bore down on Ye Fan, intent on killing him.
"Let this strike end your life for good! Boy, my patience is at its limit—this ends now!" Kuang Ling taunted as his oppressive force crashed down.
A bad premonition washed over Ye Fan. At that very mont, his chest began to glow. Startled, he pulled out the glowing object and saw it was the bone Scarlett had given him. The white phalanx was now emitting a powerful light!
The brilliance flared, radiating a terrifying light that could make one despair at a single glance. Ye Fan was stunned. The antithesis of the Holy Light of the Church was the Power of Death, and the Holy Light had always been the bane of darkness and death. This bone, which ca from a mber of the Divine Race, was now absorbing the Power of Death!
Ye Fan was overjoyed. I never expected Scarlett to help this much without even knowing! It seed he had now found a winning strategy.
He picked up the short phalanx, and instantly, the Holy Light of the Church manifested in its full glory. Although he was not fond of the Holy Light, he leveraged its effects at this crucial mont and launched an imdiate attack, charging toward Kuang Ling.
Kuang Ling was shocked. He felt an unsettling aura—one that could suppress his Power of Death! He rapidly mobilized the giant skeleton, hoping to crush Ye Fan before he could reach him. However, under the intense radiance of the Holy Light of the Church, the giant skeleton began to dissolve. Bathed in the light, the souls were cleansed of their ferocity. Their vicious expressions vanished, and they instantly beca placid. This was true power. The souls continued to disintegrate.
Kuang Ling was furious. If the souls continued to dissolve, he would completely lose the power to fight Ye Fan. He began to go all out, but no matter how hard he tried, the giant skeleton still crumbled to dust in an instant.
"No!" Kuang Ling cried out in despair. His months of effort had been reduced to nothing! He had worked so hard to gather countless Resentful Spirits, all to kill Ye Fan in their confrontation, but now his advantage had been completely unraveled by the Holy Light of the Church. How could he not despair? How could he not be furious? He tried to summon the Power of Death to reassemble the souls, but the spirits, now baptized by the Holy Light, were no longer under his control. His efforts were once again in vain.
As the Holy Light of the Church cleared a path, Ye Fan surged upward, activated the Yuanhong Sword, and imdiately unleashed the Sword of Slaughter. A powerful beam of sword light descended, accompanied by Kuang Ling’s scream of agony as Ye Fan severely injured him once more. All of Kuang Ling’s sches proved useless in the face of true strength. Even the elders of the Ghost-suppressing Clan were caught in the attack and utterly annihilated. Ye Fan’s killing strike was simply too powerful; before it, they were like ants, their lives extinguished with ease.
But Ye Fan’s onslaught wasn’t over. He still had another killing blow!
"Pure Yang Divine Gang!"
While Kuang Ling was still reeling from the devastating injury inflicted by the Slaughter Sword Dao, he was struck by Ye Fan’s fist—a punch infused with the power of the Divine Bloodline.
"Ah!"
Kuang Ling’s scream was even more wretched. This ti, his physical body was on the verge of collapse, and he lay on the ground, barely clinging to life.
Ye Fan did not let up. He continued to press the attack. Pausing an assault when an enemy is at their weakest is a common mistake among Martial Artists, but it was not one he would make. But as Ye Fan brought his sword down for the kill, Kuang Ling dissolved into the Power of Death, vanishing too quickly to anticipate. In that sa instant, he reappeared behind Ye Fan. The Death Scythe was now in his hands, and he fiercely struck Ye Fan’s back.
Ye Fan cried out in pain. I was careless! He had never anticipated that Kuang Ling had such a trick up his sleeve.
Kuang Ling swiftly drove the Death Scythe deeper. Blood spilled from the corner of Ye Fan’s mouth as the weapon pierced clean through his body.
"Pure Yang Divine Gang!" Ye Fan roared.
This ti, two blazing jets of True Qi—not just one—manifested and soared into the sky. They then swooped back down, grazing past Kuang Ling’s body. The attack left Kuang Ling even weaker. He now lacked the strength to even stand up. Clutching the Death Scythe tightly, he wanted to deliver a fatal blow to Ye Fan, but he no longer could.
Dragging his wounded body, Ye Fan raised the Yuanhong Sword and approached the fallen Kuang Ling. Kuang Ling panicked as Ye Fan said coldly, "Today, you will surely die!"
Ye Fan brought his sword down. Kuang Ling hurriedly raised the Death Scythe to defend himself, but as the sword fell, his scythe was split in two!
Then, Ye Fan pressed the Yuanhong Sword to his neck. The slightest movent would an Kuang Ling’s death.
Furious, Kuang Ling spat, "If you’re going to kill , then do it! I will never surrender!" He displayed his unyielding spirit to the very end.
Ye Fan retorted coldly, "Kill you? That’s too simple. And I won’t let you surrender. I will show you what true despair is!"
He brought his sword down. As Kuang Ling scread, Ye Fan rcilessly severed one of his arms without a word. Kuang Ling was overco with despair. He had never imagined Ye Fan could be so ruthless, yet this was not the extent of his cruelty.
Ye Fan raised the Yuanhong Sword again. Another blow fell, but this ti, he did not sever an arm. Instead, he sliced through Kuang Ling’s hamstrings.
Kuang Ling trembled all over. He himself was a ruthless man, but this day, he had t soone far more ruthless—Ye Fan.
