"Yes, as ntioned before, once you successfully complete this mission, your party, 'the ones who actually do all the work and should be rewarded, will beco the party of Elite rcenaries."
The man nodded, though in his head, he just sighed,
'Just what in the hell is that na...?"
Of course, the won never once cared about what his thoughts were. They were only waiting for him to complete all the formalities: verify what they had brought, approve that they had completed their mission, and register the new mission they were about to take under their party's na.
"It would have been much easier to select Elite Level Missions if you had thought it through, you know?"
Suddenly, a voice was heard.
The instant they heard him, the won sighed inwardly and turned around, looking at the man with eyes that were clearly not very welcoming.
"What? Don't look at like that."
The 3-ter-large, orange-skinned giant raised his hand and laughed.
"You girls have been here for like, what? 300 years?
And I have only seen you take one mission after the other.
It honestly pains .
Why would you push yourselves so far?
You all are clearly in need of money, so much so that you seem like you are even willing to bet your lives for it.
If you are already going so far, why not be a little smart about it?"
The Giant spoke as he glanced at the girls with pity.
'I told you guys, should have let kill him.'
Thyra comnted, her cold blue eyes staring at the Giant. In her hand was a piece of cloth that belonged to him.
'Don't be foolish, he may be just a Divine, but he is an Elite rcenary and has a strong party backing him up. We cannot be reckless here. This is not Yrniel.
Astaria shook her head.
They were in an entirely different world far, far away from their own, and they had co here with a mission that required them to attract but not attract too much
attention at the co ti
Not to ntion they didn't have any form of backing in this place. Getting into conflict with a rcenary Party that even had Primordial Level rcenaries was the last thing they wanted right now.
Of course, this didn't an Astaria was scared.
She knew that if given enough ti, they could easily gain a foothold in this world and leave people like him in the dust in no ti. They just.... had no reason to do that.
None of them were planning on settling in this place, this was rely a minor inconvenience they didn't wish to deal with.
"We are fine, Valhelm. We actually enjoy working hard. Do you not see our party's na?"
Suddenly, Skyla chuckled.
In an instant, her Aura spread over the Hall, calming every presence inside.
"I do, that's why I say what I say.
You girls have worked hard enough. It is ti to get rewarded now.
Join our party. I assure you, you will be treated well.
We value your strength."
The Giant replied, his tone a little more earnest and calr.
"Well, you see. That is not possible. We have our reasons for doing what we are doing. I hope you understand that."
Skyla smiled and,
"...you always seem to have a way to convince and turn down."
The Giant replied in a low voice.
"Hahaha~ It is y-"
Suddenly, Skyla paused.
She glanced at the rest of her sisters, and the group all nodded at each other.
"We are leaving."
Ember spoke as they all started walking out of the Hall.
"Hey! I didn't register your mission yet!"
The man sitting behind the counter shouted.
"Leave it, we will co bac-"
"I cannot let you leave."
Before Astaria could complete, soone interrupted.
"I get that you have your rea-"
"Shut the fuck up."
Before he could complete, Skyla cursed, and as if that wasn't enough, Ember grabbed the Giant's head and tossed him aside like a rag doll.
"You bit-"
The Giant shouted in anger. His anger, however, flushed out when he realized that the won had already disappeared.
With a fierce look on his face, the Giant left the hall as well.
This humiliation, he would make sure those won would regret their actions.
Of course, the won didn't care whatever he was planning. Right now, they all were inside Core. In front of them stood a man with a smile on his handso face.
"It has been a while, hasn't it?"
The man smiled.
"NUX!!"
The won all rushed towards him. This ti, the won who were connected to Nux
stayed back, letting others take all the space.
Nux found himself buried in heaven.
"I heard you girls were working hard."
Nux chuckled.
"Of course, we are the 'only' ones working hard."
Allura replied, staring at Amaya and the others.
The won connected to Nux narrowed their eyes. The rest of the won stared
back, not backing down.
Seeing this sight, Nux laughed out loud.
But then,
"Nux..."
Thyra called out with a frown on her face.
"Hmmm?"
Nux turned towards her and tilted his head in confusion.
"You look... different..."
Thyra spoke.
"Well, my physical strength beca much stronger than be-"
"Not that...
Your Aura...
I cannot put my finger on it exactly, but... sothing feels different about your Aura...
sothing...
Cold...
Sothing... familiar."
The rest of the won frowned.
None of them doubted Thyra's words. They knew how perceptive the cat was.
And Nux's smile widened.
"Are you talking about this?"
He questioned as suddenly, Black Mist ca out of his mouth.
"Devouring Mist?"
Astaria frowned.
"It is not Devouring Mist..."
Amaya shook her head.
"She is right, it is not."
Nux nodded. "Then what is i-"
Before Astaria could finish her question, she froze. Then, she looked into Nux's eyes
and,
"Nux, you..."
The rest of the won stared at their husband with a questioning look on their faces
as well, and seeing that, Nux's smile widened.
"It is the Death Energy. I can harness it now."
"And how are you doing that? Only beings with Laws related to Death can..."
Amaya comnted, and Nux's smile widened even further.
"Turns out Law of Absolute Death isn't as hard to form as people make it out to be, especially for soone who has seen every single aspect of this Law researched to the
very limit."
"What...?"
