"You didn't think this would work, did you?"
Nux spoke as he glanced in a particular direction.
He wasn't a fool. He was facing a being who could manipulate Space; would he leave her with no way to track her down?
He had already 'marked' Faelara like he did with Vulpiana. He could sense his energy inside her body anyti he wanted and teleport right next to her.
His stalker teacher's ability was indeed quite helpful.
Nux stepped forward and teleported to wherever Faelara was.
"Did you miss ?"
He questioned with a wide grin on his face.
The reaction he got, however, was a strange one.
"I did."
Faelara nodded, and suddenly, she snapped her fingers.

Nux's instincts scread.
In an instant, ti in his perception slowed down. He looked around and realized he was sowhere in Outer Space, with ten asteroids of different sizes surrounding him.
'Well, this looks familiar.'
He thought inwardly.
Then he looked around, trying to find what his instincts were warning him about.
And finally, he saw it.
A small black dot that had ford right in front of him. He had missed it at first because he was in literal space—he had grander things to worry about than so little black dot.
But…
Soon, he realized how wrong he was.
This black dot…
It was pulling him toward it.
Not just him, it even affected the heavy asteroids around him.
It was…
It was a fucking black hole that was getting stronger and stronger as it devoured more and more things around it.
'Shit!'
Nux cursed in his head, trying to teleport away, but…
Because of spatial instability, teleportation beca impossible. He couldn't get away. The reality was cracking. It wasn't just the Space Laws—other Laws and Concepts were being affected by it.
It was as if the Universe was attacking him again.

The black dot had grown to the size of a small marble and was now twisting the space around itself.

He looked around, trying to find a way out, and soon, he realized the space was only unstable in the region around the black hole. If he sohow managed to distance himself from it, he would be able to teleport away.
With a plan in mind, Nux gathered his strength, trying to get away.

The asteroids moved and clashed with his body.

He cursed as his bones cracked. And as if that wasn't enough, the asteroid didn't stop; it continued to move toward the black hole, dragging Nux with it.
"Aaaggghhh!!"
Nux scread, twisting his body unnaturally as he barely got away from the asteroid. This, however, didn't solve his problem.

The black hole quickly devoured the asteroid that Nux had gotten away from and…
Its size increased.
And together with its size,

Its pull increased as well, making it even more difficult for Nux to get away.
What's worse?
This wasn't the end of it.
There were nine more asteroids, and as the black hole pulled them all…

"Uggghhhh!!"
Another asteroid struck from the side. His bones on his arm cracked. He, however, could only ignore the pain and avoid getting dragged.
Then another asteroid followed.
Then another.
And another.
BOOM BOOM BOOM
They all collapsed inwardly. So Nux was able to avoid, so he couldn't.
BOOOOOOOOM
The asteroids even collided with each other, causing massive explosions all over the place. It was like a cosmic avalanche.
And Nux, together with the black hole, was caught in the middle.
He tried to maneuver, to fight against the force pulling him in.
But it was useless.
Every ti he tried to push away, another asteroid struck him, slamming into his ribs, his skull, his limbs.
They were crushing him, battering him, forcing him toward destruction.
"Ugghhhh…"
Nux groaned, using all his might to try and resist.
"There are things even monsters like you cannot resist, Nux Leander."
Suddenly, he heard a calm voice.
It was Faelara.
The Fox stared at him as her golden eyes glead with intelligent light. Her long gown fluttered. Unlike Nux, who was barely able to keep himself from getting absorbed by the Black Hole, she stood still.
Like a graceful goddess that couldn't be hard by her surroundings.
That is, of course, if you ignore her amputated arm that still hadn't grown back.
"How are you… fine…?"
Nux questioned, his voice hoarse as he was barely keeping up, holding onto the weight of his own body.
"Don't rack your head over it."
Faelara shook her head, not answering.
She, however, did have a few words to say.
"You didn't lose because you were weak. Quite the opposite, actually. You lost because you were too strong.
I won't be like others and bla your arrogance. I'd be arrogant too if I was as strong as you."
Faelara then shrugged with a self-deprecating smile.
"Who am I kidding? I am quite arrogant even now. I will reflect on that."
The Fox then looked at Nux one last ti and,
"If it is any consolation,
Know that after this,
I'd be in an extrely weak state for the next few decades.
Who knows? Your wives might be able to track down and kill . If they can get over the shock of your death, that is."
She muttered, and as if on cue, the Black Hole's pull strengthened even further, and this ti, Nux couldn't hold on any longer and… was devoured.
And then… he was gone.
Swallowed whole.
There was no explosion.
No cry.
No final act of defiance.
It was just… Nothingness.
"…"
Faelara remained silent, staring into the void that had ford after the Black Hole disappeared, devouring everything around it.
To think this man was the last one to be devoured…
To think he resisted where even massive asteroids couldn't…
'Monster.'
Faelara comnted in her head.
Only now did she realize what sort of monster she was facing…

It was finally over.
And the mont the Fox realized it, her body collapsed. It was the cost of using a power she couldn't handle.
"Haaahh… Haahh… Haahh…"
Her breathing weakened. She could barely move while her body drifted in space. The Universal Energy around her had already surrounded her, slowly consuming her.
Yes, she was in a dangerous situation. She might even die if she didn't recover enough to teleport away, but…
Faelara wasn't disappointed.
She won.

The Fox's eyes widened in horror as she heard a voice.
