"Lord Dainar."

A shadowy, crystallized obsidian being materialized into an absurdly large throne room that was made of obsidian tal and knelt in front of the being sitting on the Throne at the very end of the Hall. The being on the throne had features similar to his, just that his body was much darker and had a higher number of horns.

*Picture of the Race*

"Report."

Dainar ordered with a grim look on his face.

"It is Quoril this ti."

The being, Rivenar, reported, and the mont he heard those words, Dainar clenched his fists, and the space around him cracked.

"Anything?"

He questioned after calming himself down.

"Nothing."

Rivenar shook his head.

"There was no trace left, no struggles of a fight, no signs of his Law or any of his abilities being used, she just… disappeared."

"This is already the eleventh one."

Dainar comnted, and Rivenar lowered his head, not daring to say anything. He knew his Lord was angry.

It all started a few days ago when, one by one, his close subordinates started disappearing without a trace. They tried looking around, but they couldn't find anything. Even when they searched throughout Tenebris for similar cases and scoured through the history books to see if sothing similar had happened before, they failed to find anything.

They even considered the possibility of the Foreign World being involved, but Dainar shook his head. All the Foreigners were kept in check with Dainar constantly tailing their movents using Tenebris's Will.

The only link between all the disappearances was the fact that all eleven of them were Dainar's kin or subordinates, people who were on his side. It was clearly a targeted campaign, one arranged by Lord Dainar's enemy. The problem, however, was that they didn't know which out of the three of them was responsible for it and how they were doing it.

"Keep this matter to yourself. Make sure it doesn't spread out. We cannot appear weak, not until we find out which one of the three is behind this."

Dainar ordered.

"As you command, my Lord."

Rivenar nodded as he bowed his head.

"You can leave."

He ordered.

Rivenar stood up, but before he left—

"And be very careful. The instant you sense sothing is wrong, even if it is nothing more than a simple hunch, you activate the artifact and summon . Is that clear?"

"Yes, my Lord."

Rivenar nodded again. If there was one thing he was confident about, it was his reaction speed. Honestly, he wanted the perpetrator to co after him. At the very least, that would end this long, tireso search, and he would finally be able to catch him.

Yes, he was that confident.

And… naïve.

Because what he wished for indeed ca true.

While he was about to walk into the eting hall to command his trusted subordinates to set up different traps in order to catch the perpetrator—

He suddenly disappeared.

Yes, the perpetrator didn't co for him. He directly teleported him next to him, just like he did with the others.

"Hu—where am I—?"

Rivenar blinked, unable to believe what had happened to him. He had appeared in outer space, surrounded by nothing but Universal Energy and other Cosmic Entities.

He was teleported away. It was sothing that made him frown. After all, he had already set up an anti-teleportation field that constantly altered Space Laws all over the castle by Lord Dainar's orders. Let alone teleporting soone else without their permission—even teleporting oneself in or out of that place shouldn't have been possible.

Of course, while he was thinking of all this, his mind didn't stop working. The reaction speed he trusted so much activated to its fullest extent, and he had already activated the artifact that would summon Lord Dainar here. But then—

"Don't bother using Sirecall, Rivenar. It won't work here."

He heard a voice.

"Hu—"

Rivenar tried turning around, but suddenly, a domain was deployed, and ethereal chains grabbed him, instantly taking away his ability to move.

It was only then that he realized it.

He was surrounded. Not by one or two, but thirty-five Transcendents. And if what the voice said about Sirecall—the artifact he had activated—was indeed true, then he was helpless.

And when, a few seconds after activating Sirecall, his Lord Dainar still didn't appear, he realized that he was indeed helpless.

His final bit of resistance disappeared when Obsidian Lock, an artifact created especially to deal with his race and seal their power, was used.

Obsidian Lock was one of the most secretive artifacts in Tenebris. If the enemy knew about it and even had it, then it ant he was already too deep in their ranks. There was no possible way to resist him.

With his spirit broken, Nux didn't have a hard ti reading his mories. Once he was done, he teleported him to a place where space stretched endlessly.

Yes, it was a prison he couldn't escape from.

"Did you find anything?"

Amaya questioned.

"The Four Eternals have been alive for more than a million years now."

Nux answered.

"They have next to perfect control over their emotions. They do not feel love, hate, or any such emotion that is of value to us."

"That…"

Amaya's face turned grim. Nux, however, wasn't done yet.

"What they do have, however, is the thirst for power."

He smiled.

"Surprisingly, even though their love has faded away, their desire for power has not."

"Does this an…"

Aeliana narrowed her eyes.

And Nux nodded.

"There is a strict balance of power maintained in Tenebris. Every Eternal—while they may appear to be each other's allies to Foreigners—wouldn't hesitate to get rid of each other if given a chance.

Rather, they have been looking for this chance all their lives."

"I thought they would be close to each other, like our Progenitors."

Skyla muttered.

"Our Progenitors have Lord Azriel above them. There is no thirst for power because Lord Azriel had all of it. Tenebris is different. Power is divided amongst the Four Eternals, and every single one of them wants more."

"So what are we going to do?"

Amaya questioned.

"We are going to give them what they want. Just like you said."

Nux grinned.

"We will give them power?"

Amaya raised her eyebrow.

"Yes. We will give them power to get rid of the other."

"And who will we be supporting?"

At that question, Nux's grin widened even further.

"All of them."
