Nux paused as he saw a familiar man passing orders to his subordinates in a hurried tone.
'Ah, Father-in-law…'
He grinned and unconsciously teleported next to the man.
A wrong move.
"Who are you?"
Azriel questioned as he and everyone around him took defensive positions, instantly pointing their weapons at Nux.
'Fuck…'
Nux realized his mistake as well.
Soon, however, he realized sothing else.
This version of his Father-in-law…
He was weak.
Rather, that beautiful woman standing next to him and looking at him with a wary look on her face was much stronger than him. Compared to Nux, however, even the woman was quite weak.
She was only a Saint.
'Wait, is she…'
Nux suddenly frowned.
That woman…
Long black hair, crimson eyes, ancient, gothic clothing…
"Lady Luminia…"
He realized.
Another mistake.
The mont Nux said Luminia's na, Azriel narrowed his eyes dangerously. He was prepared to attack, even though he was rely an Emperor.
It was sowhat adorable in a way.
'Oh, how the tables have turned.'
"You shouldn't be…"
Nux grinned inwardly.
Of course, he wasn't here to fight, so he decided to calm the situation.
"Are you… Lady Luminia…?"
He questioned in a confused tone.
"You shouldn't be…"
"What are you talking about?"
Luminia frowned.
"If you are Lady Luminia, then where is Lord Azriel? Shouldn't you two be next to each other?"
Nux tilted his head in confusion, and this ti,
"…huh?"
Azriel blinked in confusion as well.
"Have you lost your sight?"
He called out directly.
"How do you even know about the two of us? I have never seen you in my life."
Azriel questioned. He even glanced at Luminia, and the woman shook her head, signaling she didn't know whoever this man was.
"Wait…"
But suddenly, Nux's expression changed.
"You are… Lord Azriel?"
"Why are you calling a Lord? I do not know you."
"You are Lord Azriel!"
Nux raised his voice, surprised. But then, he tilted his head and frowned,
"But why are you so weak? Have I sohow co to the past?"
"Past? Are you saying you are from the future?"
Azriel questioned.
"It… looks like it."
Nux nodded.
"And you want to believe that?"
Azriel raised his head, clearly suspicious.
"Shouldn't you, out of all people, believe the most?
You have a 40,000-year-old monster's mories in your head. You are a relic of the past and your present at the sa ti."
"…how do you know that?"
Azriel narrowed his eyes.
Nux smiled inwardly, realizing that he was right. As he looked around and sensed their power levels, it didn't take long for Nux to realize what 'Tiline' he was in. It was the ti when Azriel Ruinous had just begun his journey and had started gathering Vampires to recreate the Blood Empire together with his wives, Luminia and Ithania.
"As I said, I am from the future. I know everything about you. Lady Luminia, Lady Ithania, your subordina—"
"Ithania?"
"Yes, your second wife. I know her as well."
"What the hell are you talking about, boy?"
Suddenly, Luminia raised her voice. Her expression seed quite nacing.
"What second wife?"
She questioned, and Nux could swear he saw a tinge of Amaya in this woman; heck, even Azriel looked scared.
"I do not know what this man is talking about. You know I will never choose soone over you. He is trying to form a wedge between us."
The Vampire Progenitor defended himself as he stared at Nux threateningly, and it was only then that Nux finally realized it.
In the story he was told, Azriel t Luminia and Ithania at almost the sa ti, before he even beca a Master Stage Cultivator.
So the fact that Azriel here was an Emperor and still didn't know about Ithania only ant one thing,
Ithania Sky doesn't exist.
This Azriel wasn't the Azriel he knew. He wasn't dealing with the Azriel of the past. This Azriel…
He was an Azriel of a different Universe.
'But why is there an Azriel in another Universe?'
Nux tilted his head in confusion.
'Wait,
What is another Universe?'
Nux questioned inwardly.
To him, there were only two Universes: his own, and the Main Universe.
But now, as he stood in front of the possibility of there being other Universes, he couldn't help but question everything.
"You, state why you are her—"
While Nux was still thinking things through, Azriel called him out.
"Nope, I don't have ti for this."
Nux, who had now realized he wasn't actually eting his Father-in-law or the past version of his Father-in-law for that matter, decided that there was no need to be respectful and teleported away without saying anything.
Azriel and the others, who let an unknown man appear amidst them and then disappear without a care in this world, were frozen stiff.
"He… He disappeared…
And he did it without a portal…"
One of the subordinates who had pointed his weapon at Nux called out. Honestly, more than once, he wanted to attack that man, but sothing deep in his body was stopping him every single ti. He didn't know what it was, but he got a feeling that his end wouldn't be good if he made a move here, so he decided to listen to that feeling and stayed put.
It wasn't just him. The rest of the subordinates, even Azriel and Luminia, the strongest in the group, felt the sa. This was also the reason they didn't lash out at him.
"Was he… really from the future?"
Luminia questioned.
"I… do not know…"
Azriel shook his head.
"Azriel Ruinous."
Suddenly, the woman called out, her crimson eyes shining dangerously as she stared at the man who was supposed to be only HERS.
"I do not know who this Ithania that man speaks of is. I only know one thing: if in the future, I see an Ithania,
I will kill her."
Hearing those words, Azriel grinned. He grabbed Luminia's hand and walked close to her,
"If any Ithania does appear,
I will kill her before you, Teacher."
He whispered lightly.
"No other shall ever co between us."
He declared, and Luminia smiled dangerously. She was about to get close and bite Azriel's neck, but Azriel backed down,
"But for now, we need to understand where we are.
I cannot connect to Yrniel. Sothing isn't right."
He spoke up, and Luminia nodded solemnly as well.
Once again, the two started passing down orders and resud what they were doing, choosing to completely ignore the man who had suddenly popped in and disappeared.
Nux, who was observing them from afar, remained expressionless.
He had expanded his senses and realized that this wasn't the only version of Azriel in this place.
There were more.
Quite a few, actually.
There was an Azriel who was friendly towards humans.
An Evil Azriel who was hell-bent on killing all races of Yrniel, even the Vampires.
A weak Azriel who was enslaved even after he received Origin's Blood.
And a few more.
Not just Azriel, Nux also saw a few versions of so other people he knew. The Vampire King Alden Sky, Orpheus Bloodheart, Ambrosia Sky, Rislith Lust, Maline Lust, Oberon Feline, Ariana Frostwillow, Faelara Dawnshade, Vulpiana Dawnshade, Ricardus Skyfall, and even… Arvina Skyfall.
He saw them all.
Different versions of all these beings, and he finally realized what a different Universe is.
'Another Tiline.'
Yes, that was what a different Universe was, another Tiline.
A Tiline different from the Main Universe, continuing to grow further and further away from the Main Universe, ultimately forming another, entirely different Universe.
The more of these Tilines existed, the more Universes there are.
This is also the reason the 'Ti' in these Universes is different.
'Ti' alone was so powerful that it was able to create an entirely different Universe. This was also the reason it is the most difficult Law to comprehend.
But then…
'How are these new Tilines created?'
Nux frowned.
He thought about it for a while, but his mind wasn't able to co up with an answer.
He looked around, wanting to find more answers in the collapsing reality in front of him. He expanded his senses.
If there were so many different versions of the people he knew, doesn't this an there should also be other versions of him?
A smile appeared on his face as he thought about the possibility of eting another him. Soon, however, his expanded senses found sothing,
Not another version of him, but sothing more…
Ho…
Yes, he sensed Earth, or at least a part of it.
Without waiting for a single mont, he teleported there.
It was… chaotic.
Siren Siren Siren
[Please move to your nearby ergency bunker. This is not a drill.]
Loud sirens echoing throughout the city, constant announcents telling people to leave, army tanks moving in the city.
The situation couldn't be less panicky, and how could it not be?
A large chunk of the city was suddenly teleported to this random place, the blue sky had turned colorful, and communications with the rest of the world had disappeared.
Everyone was panicking, except for Nux, of course.
He was standing silently, feeling a strong sense of nostalgia, but then suddenly, he was hit by a man running towards the ergency bunker, and the man shouted,
"Oi! If you wish to die, die! Don't block my path!"
Hearing his voice, Nux finally ca out of his reverie. Not wanting to miss this chance, he turned towards the man and desperately grabbed his shoulders,
"Your phone…
How many anis have you downloaded in it? Are the new ones any good!?"
