"Get stronger."
In Sharnoth’s desperation, her master suddenly spoke up as he presented a black-purple football-sized crystal to her.
"Absorb this, get stronger, and destroy the enemy you have hated all your life."
He instructed.
"What is it?"
Sharnoth questioned, slightly confused.
"Crystallization of all the Chaos I have gathered ever since I raised you. I intended to give it to you once I was sure it would help you break through to Infinity Stage.
But since things have co this far,
I have no other choice.
If not Infinity, then be Pseudo-Infinity instead.
We will figure out the rest later."
Zylarith answered as the football-sized crystal moved towards Sharnoth.
"..."
Sharnoth stared at it in silence.
"What are you doing?"
Zylarith questioned with a frown. After all, Sharnoth wasn’t in the position to waste any more ti. Now that she had the solution, she should act in haste.
Or at least that’s what was supposed to happen.
But suddenly—
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM
Sharnoth, who stayed silent for more than a minute, suddenly extended her domain.
{Capture}
She ordered.
Just like any other Eternal, in her Domain, she had turned into an Absolute Being whose words had beco a Law.
Even if Zylarith was a being she couldn’t truly interact with in his Soul Form, inside her domain, this was possible.
With her words, Zylarith’s surroundings moved, purple-black chains ca out of nowhere and tried to capture him, but...
The mont the chains touched his body, his body dispersed into thin air and the Chaos Chains wrapped themselves around a disc-like relic.
"I did not think you would move against , you are brave."
Zylarith spoke before his body disappeared like dust in the air. The only thing left of him was the relic that ca out of his body.
Zylarith...
He escaped.
No, more accurately, he was never here to begin with. It was rely his projection cast by the relic that was now in Sharnoth’s hand.
"..."
Sharnoth grabbed the relic her chains had ’captured’ without saying anything. From the expressionless look on her face, it was clear that she wasn’t surprised by what just happened.
Zylarith was no fool; she knew it better than others.
He would never risk his life, so the fact that she couldn’t capture him did not surprise her. As for what he was saying before...
Sharnoth slowly glanced at the crystal in front of her with the sa expressionless look on her face.
A crystal that would raise her strength and turn her into a Pseudo-Infinity.
’What a joke.’
The Queen snorted in her head.
If sothing like this truly existed, Zylarith would have given it to her a long ti ago. Sure, he acted like he wanted to give it to her when she was ready to beco an Infinity and what he did was a desperate action,
But Zylarith would never act ’desperately’.
Sharnoth knew it a long ti ago—Zylarith was no ally. He, for so reason, wanted to take over her body; he was just waiting for the right ti.
And honestly, Sharnoth didn’t care.
She knew she needed to be stronger before Zylarith took action. At the very least, it would happen after she destroyed her enemy. In her mind, Sharnoth thought of it as a price for Zylarith’s help and convinced herself.
No matter what Zylarith wanted, as long as she got her revenge, it didn’t matter.
But...
With Nux coming into the equation and making things difficult for her, Zylarith’s plan changed as well.
This crystal—it must be full of Chaos Energy, just like Zylarith said. But its goal wasn’t to strengthen Sharnoth, it was to fill her body with more Chaos Energy. Energy that belonged to Zylarith. Energy that would allow him to get complete control over her body instead of the partial one he already had.
Yes, Zylarith wanted to take the price before fulfilling his part of the deal.
Of course, all of this was just Sharnoth’s theory. She could still be wrong about him. But if that was the case...
’He would be here instead of this...’
She muttered in her head as she stared at the disc in her hand.
Yes, that disc was more than enough reason for her to believe what Zylarith was actually planning. He wouldn’t have prepared all this if he was being honest.
The disc in her hand was all the proof she needed.
But the thing was...
Even if she figured it out, even if she didn’t fall for Zylarith’s sches, things still weren’t any better.
Her problem still remained the sa, the empire she built was still crumbling, and she couldn’t think of any way to protect it.
Honestly, in her mind, Sharnoth was cursing the day she first interacted with Nux. To think she attracted that monster’s attention because of that master of he—
"Huh...?"
The instant that thought appeared in her mind, Sharnoth’s expression changed as suddenly, a new idea popped up.
Nux...
His enemy was Zylarith, wasn’t he?
The two of them had only interacted one ti. There was no reason for them to be enemies anymore, especially when Zylarith had also turned his back on her.
The more she thought about it, the better the idea sounded in her head.
All this happened because she offended an incomprehensible monster, did it not?
A monster whose ability she or anyone around her did not understand.
Then...
Why not ally with the sa monster?
He first approached her because he wanted to be her ally anyways, did he not?
Why doesn’t she approach him now?
The mont she thought about it, she recalled sothing.
’He says he is leaving it here in case you changed your mind.’
She rembered her subordinate passing her the Call Artifact that Nux had left for her in case she wanted to talk to him.
{No being other than should exist inside}
With a determined look on her face, Sharnoth made sure Zylarith wasn’t around her, took out the Call Artifact, and activated it.
Then, she heard a voice—an extrely annoying voice.
"It has been a while, Lady Sharnoth.
I must admit, I didn’t think you would call this soon."
