Nux questioned with a frown.
He had placed so many subordinates in so many places that it was impossible to keep track of them all.
’Sothing’s wrong here.’

Nux questioned.
’The Reaper’s Veil.’
The instant the man said those words, Nux’s expression changed. He, who was drifting in Outer Space, cuddling with his cats leisurely, suddenly sat up and,

He tried to question, but—
It was already too late.

The Universe reacted.
This ti, much more strongly than ever before. Even the Outer Space Nux was in, an area usually unaffected by such reactions, wasn’t spared.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM
Asteroids floating around burst into pieces. The impact of their explosion travelled far and wide.

And the Universe’s anger did not resolve here; it continued to rumble, destroying everything it could. It felt like it was preparing to self-destruct.
It was clear how angry it was.

"Nux, what did you do?"
Thyra, who was seeing everything happen right in front of her, turned towards her husband. She didn’t even think about there being another being capable of enraging the Universe to this level.
"I was with you the entire ti..."
Nux tried to defend himself, but the cat just stared at him with her hypnotic blue eyes. It wasn’t just her—the white cat beside her was staring at Nux with her green eyes as well.
"...let find out what I did."
Nux just admitted it as he once again diverted his focus to the subordinate who had contacted him.
’What happened?’
He questioned again.
But...
There was no answer.
Nux narrowed his eyes.
He closed his eyes and tried to sense his subordinate’s presence, but...
He no longer existed in this Universe.
He had perished.
Nux knew he was stationed near Umbrasol so that he could inform him the mont sothing happened. He tried to contact other such subordinates near Umbrasol and realized all of them had disappeared.
It didn’t take long for him to understand what had happened,
’The Universe must have attacked them.’
The instant Reaper’s Veil disappeared, the Universe must have bombed the entire area in hopes of catching the Anomaly.
Or at least that was what Nux theorized, and considering how angry the Universe was right now, it was indeed very much possible.
"What is it?"
Rune questioned.
The Universe still hadn’t stopped reacting; the trembling still continued. She could still feel the heat of the explosions that just happened. She contacted other subordinates planted in different regions of the Universe and realized that asteroids all over the Universe had exploded.
Only a few absurdly large asteroids were spared.
It was a major incident where billions and billions of lives were lost. So Low and Lowest Level Worlds were ruined completely, degrading them to their earliest state, a state with no life forms.
It was horrifying.
And...
It was safe to assu that they wouldn’t be able to have fun for now, at least not until they understood what happened, so both Rune and Thyra returned to their usual forms.
"I think sothing happened to the Reaper’s Veil."
Nux answered. Even he had a solemn look on his face.
"Reaper’s Veil?"
Thyra frowned.
"Did it disappear?"
Rune questioned.
"Most likely."
Nux nodded.
"That makes sense."
Thyra muttered.
The Reaper’s Veil hid the fact that Nux had devoured Umbrasol from the Universe. If it disappeared, then the Universe must have sensed Umbrasol’s disappearance, hence the reaction.
"So its reaction to a High-Level World’s disappearance is that strong, eh?"
Eisheth chuckled.
Yes, the Succubus Queen, along with the rest of the won, had appeared around him as well.
"It wasn’t just the High-Level World. We used that place as a base of operations and devoured quite a few beings by bringing them here. The Universe must have learned about them as well.
More than Umbrasol, the fact that it was fooled must be what’s making it react like this."
Amaya comnted, getting nods from the rest.
"It is not safe here right now."
Nux spoke with a grim look on his face as suddenly, the won all disappeared to his Universe.
"Why do you get to stay? I am stronger than you."
Astaria complained.
"Yes, yes. Now stay there."
Nux locked his Universe, making it impossible for them to leave as he continued to observe the Main Universe’s reaction.
Sothing told him that it still wasn’t over.
After all, usually, by this ti, the Universe’s rumbling calms down, but let alone calming down, the rumbling was getting stronger and stronger.
Even the asteroid particles that had turned into dust were trembling, as if prepared to turn back into full asteroids and explode again.
"This isn’t good."
Aeliana, who was watching everything from the screen, comnted. The rest of the won beside her had the sa opinion.
All of them could feel that sothing was about to happen—even though they had no clue what.
"I’ll go take a look."
Nux spoke up.
"Don’t be foolish."
Vyriana tried to stop him, but—
"The Necrocore should still be there. It was created out of Umbrasol Progenitor’s physique. I can get that physique if I get my hands on it. I didn’t act before because I wanted the Veil to last, but if it is no longer there, then I would like to get it before anything happens."
Nux explained.
"..."
And this ti, Vyriana couldn’t say anything. After all, when it ca to chasing after more strength, the Dragon had no face to say anything.
"Nux, the Supre Worlds might be there too."
Riona spoke with a solemn look on her face.
She still rembered the first ti Nux devoured a World and the Universe reacted. The beings in the Supre Worlds reacted in an instant and connected their consciousness with the Universe.
If it wasn’t for Azriel protecting them, things could have gone out of hand.
Since then, Nux has been using Universal Energy to hide himself from their eyes every ti he devours a World.
It still wasn’t known if those beings still tried the sa trick after failing again and again, but considering that the Universe’s reaction was much stronger this ti, Riona was sure that they would react to it.
It wouldn’t be surprising if they were already near Umbrasol.
Nux going there was extrely risky.
Hearing her words, Nux paused for a mont, then,
"...I know."
He nodded.
"I cannot always hide from them."
"Nux, you are not strong enough to face them yet. Let go."
Aeliana spoke with a solemn look on her face.
She still rembered her father’s warning, and although Nux was stronger than before, it still wasn’t ti for him to face the Supre Worlds.
"You already have the Complete Law of Absolute Death. That physique is of no help to you."
Amaya nodded as well.
And as if on cue,
"Nux, don’t be foolish."
"Co back."
The rest of the won spoke up as well. Nux sighed, and in the end, he closed his eyes and sighed.
"Send a scout instead."
Suddenly, Amaya suggested.
"We can let the scouts observe the situation. If everything looks fine, then you can leave."
"I already teleported a few. They aren’t answering now."
Nux answered.
"And you still wish to go?"
Ember raised her eyebrow, and Nux sighed,
"No."
He shook his head.
He still had no idea what had happened at Umbrasol or what was happening there right now, and this lack of information made him feel uncomfortable.
After all, it had been a long ti since he felt this way.
For now, however, he remained in the main Universe and observed everything that was happening, getting constant reports from his subordinates all over the Worlds.
The Universe’s rumbling continued for hours, and only after 12 hours did it finally calm down.
And the instant that happened,
Bzzz
Nux’s Call Artifact buzzed.
It was Sharnoth.
He picked up the call, and Sharnoth’s face appeared in front of him.
"How did it go?"
Sharnoth questioned directly.
Yes, she was talking about Nux’s conversation with Vexarion. The Queen couldn’t care less about the historic event that had just happened and the destruction it caused throughout the Universe.
Nux grinned. He was half expecting this, so instead of answering, he showed the Seven Relics he took from Vexarion.
"Be prepared.
You will be facing Vexarion in a fair, one-on-one death battle, in 2 days."
He declared, and the mont Sharnoth heard those words, her eyes widened in surprise and then... a strong sense of relief washed over her.
Finally...
After a hundred thousand years...
She could finally get what she so desperately wanted.
The Queen closed her eyes, calming her trembling body, and then—
"Thank you, Nux Leander."
She bowed her head.
To think he made it possible.
"I have recorded the entire conversation. Do you want to see how your enemy sealed his own fate because of his greed?"
Nux offered with a playful grin. Sharnoth, of course, nodded desperately, and with a flick of Nux’s finger, a recording orb appeared in front of Sharnoth.
"Inject your energy to activate it."
Nux explained.
He wanted to continue their conversation, especially now that he could finally see the woman smile so brightly,
But suddenly—
’Lord Nux.’
Another one of his subordinates called.
’The Supre Worlds have acted.’
