Chapter 2097: How did you do it?

“I deprive you of your Movent.

I deprive you of your Will to Resist.

I deprive you of your Physical Power.

I deprive you of your Law.”

In the region where he was the Absolute, in the region where everything was covered in Absolute Darkness, in the region where only his Crimson Eyes remained visible, Neremoth commanded, taking every single thing away from Nux.

Nux froze. Since his movents and strength were gone, he couldn’t exactly do anything but stare at Neremoth’s Crimson eyes helplessly.

Neremoth, using Darkstep, travelled through darkness and appeared right in front of Nux. Of course, in his current state, Nux couldn’t even see him. He only saw his crimson eyes coming closer.

The scene was quite haunting.

“Hmm? I do not rember taking away your voice.”

He began in a disdainful voice.

“What happened? Why the sudden silence? Where did all that bravado from before go?”

He questioned, his grin widening as Nux didn’t dare to utter a word. The situation was too disadvantageous for him, and he did not wish to anger Neremoth any further with his words.

Suddenly, Nux took a deep breath as he sensed a cold, rough hand grabbing his throat, forcing him to lift his head and stare at the crimson eyes that were staring directly into his eyes.

“Is this your limit?”

Neremoth questioned.

“You were acting so arrogantly before, almost as if you had complete control over the situation, but…

Is this it?

Was using my Domain all it took to stop you?

Just… what were you thinking…?”

His tone sounded like that of a disappointed father.

“I was expecting a stronger resistance, you know?

You went so far with your mockery, I thought you were quite confident in yourself.

Was it all an act? Were you trying to hide your weakness by putting up a brave front?

Were you… not ignoring but desperately trying to kill instead?”

He guessed, and when he thought about it, he couldn’t help but feel just how ‘cute’ this attempt was. He truly gave it his all. Actually, it was quite impressive, especially when one thought about how a re Primordial was able to pull it off.

That punch of his carried an absurd amount of strength. Honestly, Neremoth had never once experienced sothing like this before.

He was sure that that punch had the power to take out a Transcendent—no, not just a Transcendent—even an Eternal, other than the ones from the Supre World, wouldn’t be able to survive that punch.

It was simply that strong. If it weren’t for Hollow Rebirth, even he would have perished.

No wonder he was so confident at the beginning.

Neremoth could see how it all played out. From the very beginning, the child knew his physical strength was far stronger than anything in the Universe. He knew he had the capability to kill even Eternals with his strength.

The problem was their Domain.

After all, the Universe’s Rules were Absolute, the difference between Phases was Absolute. Even if he was this absurdly strong, in the end, the Phase difference between him and an Eternal was simply too absurdly big.

Therefore, he ca up with a way around it.

He tried to surprise his enemy with his strength and take them out in one blow.

With his strength, one good blow was all he needed, and he had the speed and agility to pull it off.

Neremoth could see how this would work against any normal Eternal—heck, it even worked against him. The punch strong enough to obliterate his body did get connected.

Just that…

The child failed to calculate that obliteration was not the end.

He did not know about the Hollow Rebirth. How could he?

The Trueborns never appeared in the Universe. Every ti they did, it was a one-sided destruction.

No one in the Universe actually knew about the extent of Trueborns’ abilities. They just knew that the Trueborns of Supre Worlds were strong—much stronger than one could comprehend.

And this lack of information bit this child.

After the first punch connected, he believed the battle would end, but Neremoth’s body was reconstructed.

‘That must have made him panic.’

Neremoth realized it, glancing at Nux, who still kept a poker face despite everything happening right now.

‘His control over his emotions is exceptional. It is almost as if his body is incapable of processing emotions.’

He muttered in his head, recalling how desperately the child punched him again and again, only for his body to be reconstructed as if nothing had happened…

If before, he felt humiliation at how the enemy was ignoring his words and kept attacking him, now, when he felt how desperate of a situation this poor child was in…

Neremoth felt… pity.

At the sa ti, he had no choice but to admit it.

The child was exceptional—far more exceptional than anyone he had ever t.

Even in despair, he continued hitting without stop until he no longer could. He continued to do whatever he could to try and defeat an enemy he could not.

The child was brave. Exceptionally brave.

‘An Anomaly, huh…’

Neremoth muttered in his head. It was the first ti in his life that he appreciated another being’s exception.

And of course, at the sa ti, he also wanted to see it.

He wanted to see this brave child break.

He wanted to see him cower in fear and flinch in agony.

He wanted to see him beg for rcy.

The mont he thought of that, Neremoth’s grin widened. He had to use all his willpower to not act right now.

After all, the child still had his use.

“How did you do it?”

Neremoth questioned.

Now that the Anomaly was finally his, it was ti to extract the useful information and use it for his sake.

It was ti to ‘take’ this power from the hands of a Primordial and use it in a way that actually made a difference.

It was ti… to plunge the Entire Universe into Absolute Eclipse.

At least that was the plan but…

“…”

The child did not say anything. Even now, he kept staring back at Neremoth with the sa, expressionless look on his face, almost as if instead of his movents, Neremoth froze him in place instead.
