"…huh? Where did he go? What did you do to him?"
Suddenly, Sharnoth, who had been constantly attacking Nux with everything she had, trying to free herself from his hold, suddenly blinked in surprise when she noticed she could no longer see Zarveth, who Nux was holding just now.
She only saw that dark energy that she did not understand cover Zarveth's body. The Eternal was in no state to even move, let alone resist, and within a few seconds, the dark energy disappeared, together with him.
Almost as if it ate him, which didn't make sense because she did not sense any destructive property from that energy.
"Hmm? Why do you ask?"
Nux questioned, curious.
"Because I liked him."
Sharnoth answered and suddenly—
Nux froze.
"…what did you say?"
He questioned, his golden eyes turning much sharper than they had been before throughout his battle with Zarveth.
"I liked him. Fighting him was fun! What did you do to him!?"
Sharnoth raised her voice, but this ti…
"You… liked him?"
"Yes?"
Sharnoth tilted her head, confused as to why this man was making her repeat sothing so obvious, and Nux did not like that expression one bit.
'That bastard…'
He cursed in his head.
'He was trying to seduce my Sharnoth…'
His golden eyes beca darker and darker.
'Good thing I didn't kill him yet…'
He muttered. His mind was instantly clouded with far crueler thoughts than he was thinking before.
Zarveth…
He was truly pitiful.
And…
Sharnoth only made it worse.
"What did you do to him!?"
The woman shouted, looking concerned about her Toy who had disappeared, and Nux…
He glanced at the woman and—
"Fighting him was fun, eh…?"
He smiled.
A hollow, terrifying smile.
But…
"Yes!"
Sharnoth didn't get any hint and just nodded excitedly.
Of course, Nux didn't completely lose himself either. He ca up with a better reply.
"Of course, fighting soone as weak as him would be fun for soone like you. After all, you wouldn't have to put in that much effort, now would you?"
He then sighed dramatically,
"How very disappointing though—
To think you chose a weaker opponent and still lost.
You must be pitifully weak as well."
Nux shook his head, almost as if this wasn't even worth it, and just as he expected—
"I am not weak!! And he wasn't weak either!!"
Sharnoth countered.
"Hmm? He seed pretty weak to . Couldn't even scratch .
Maybe you both are weak?
It is no fun to play with the two of you. I'll just go find a better playmate."
He shrugged as he let Sharnoth go and turned around, wanting to find a 'better playmate.'
"I am not weak!!!"
Sharnoth shouted. Hearing her words, Nux stopped as he slowly turned towards her and—
"Just look at your condition. You barely recovered from your fight with that weakling. What are you, if not weak?"
"I am not weak! I can still play!!"
She shouted as suddenly, the space around her twisted.
She increased the distance between the two of them, floating alone in this vast space. Her bloodied body trembled as waves of black-purple Chaos Energy pulsed from her. Her skin was already peeling off in patches, revealing the glowing shell of raw chaotic power beneath.
Then, a wild, twisted, unstable grin appeared on her face.
Her crimson eyes shimred with lunacy.
"I'll show you!"
She spoke.
"Since he is not here, I will play with you instead!"
She declared loudly, staring at Nux, who was now standing below her with a calm, untraceable smile on his face.
"You are not worthy of playing with .
Go play with soone like Zarveth instead. He will suit you better.
You liked him for that reason, didn't you?"
Nux just shrugged.
"NO!"
Sharnoth shook her head.
"I will play with you!"
She declared again as she prepared her attack.
To provoke her even further, Nux placed his right hand inside his pocket as he looked sowhere else, showing that he wasn't interested in 'playing.'
The chaotic energy that gathered around him did not faze him even for a second.
"You're not even serious…"
Sharnoth giggled.
"You're still using just one hand, just like you did with him."
"The likes of you two are not enough for to take you seriously.
I don't need my second hand."
Nux teased again.
Sharnoth's grin widened and—
"Then I'll MAKE you need it."
She shot forward.
The Chaos Energy she gathered while having this conversation quickly surged around her. Her body beca a whirlwind of destruction—claws, tendrils, serpents of shifting void. Dozens of her appeared in different spots, each throwing a different form of madness.
Explosions of sound.
Fire made of screams.
Ti-stopping dust.
It was a storm of pure Chaos.
Nux didn't even blink.
He stepped to the left.
Everything missed.
Sharnoth appeared behind him with a blade in her hand, trying to attack him, but—
Nux turned and—

He flicked her on the nose and her head snapped back.
"Ggkh—!"
She flew away, flipped in mid-air, stopped herself, and then laughed harder.
"You are strong!!"
"Of course I am. So go play with soone weak."
"NO!
Again! Again!! Do it again!!"
She launched herself at him. Chaos blades appeared from her spine. Her face cracked. Her jaw opened too wide, mouth glowing with raw energy.
Nux sidestepped and—
Flick
Another flick, this ti to her cheek.
She spun wildly, flying backward.
"Stop dodging and fight !"
She roared, forming two black balls of Chaos in her hands and throwing them at him.
They exploded—burning, freezing, shattering space.
But when the dust cleared…
Nux stood untouched.
"That was cute,"
He said with a smirk.
"Was that your strongest attack?"
Sharnoth scread, pulling her hair out, ripping more of her skin away.
Energy exploded from her again.
"NO! I'M NOT DONE!!"
She flew at him, faster this ti—claws reaching forward.
Nux ducked and flicked her forehead again.
She crashed into a floating asteroid that shattered on impact. The rubble floated everywhere.
Her body was bloodied, part of her skin hanging in strips.
Still, she stood up again.
"You're enjoying this, aren't you!?"
She questioned.
"I'd enjoy it more if you hit even once,"
Nux replied with a bored look on his face.
Those words made Sharnoth's face twist. She did not like that answer one bit.
She raised both hands, scread sothing in a language even she didn't understand, and a storm of Chaos rained down on Nux from above—razor winds, shifting gravity, collapsing space.
But—
Nux just vanished, appeared beside her and—
Flicked her ear.
She twitched, froze mid-air, and then exploded in laughter.
"Hahaha!! You're so annoying! I LOVE IT!!
I LOVE PLAYING WITH YOU!!!"
