Nux spoke, and the instant he confird what the won were thinking—
The lively atmosphere in the eting Hall… disappeared.
Of course, the children couldn't hear any of it, Nux had put all of them to sleep as the conversation began without them knowing or understanding what had happened.
They just knew that their father, for so reason, had sealed the Universe and they were no longer supposed to leave, and then… they fell asleep.
Nihyron tried to fight it, he had sensed his father had done sothing, so just to challenge him, he tried to resist.
But he was far too young for him to be challenging Nux in this manner, so he too, couldn't hold out.
"They… figured out a way…?"
Aeliana spoke with a solemn look on her face.
"How…?"
Riona asked.
Amaya, however, shook her head.
"That isn't important, at least not right now."
And she was correct.
"We first need to understand how much they know.
To what extent can they sense our movents, we need to… experint."
The Devourer spoke and Nux nodded at her words.
"These past five tis, every ti our hunting party entered that world, one of the four Infinities was waiting for them. The rest of the party was crushed the mont it entered and my clones were captured.
Of course, I ended all the connections I had with it, so the only thing they had in their hands was a powerless puppet that has no mories or abilities.
They wouldn't find anything with it."
"But they are still capturing your clones."
Thyra pointed out.

Nux nodded.

Nux did not have an answer.

What the Infinities had done was completely out of his expectation, sothing he couldn't have any possible answers to.
Questions like, how did they find a way?
Did they know how to stop him all this while? If that was true, why move now? Why not move earlier? After all, the only reason Nux survived was because he was fast and by the ti the Infinities knew he had attacked, it was over.
But… if any of the Infinities had been waiting for him to attack and had attacked him the mont he arrived—
Nux didn't think his chances of making it back from that situation were high, not back then, when he had barely devoured a few High Level Worlds.
Heck, even now, even when he had devoured more than a thousand High Level Worlds using the War to his advantage and was now much, much stronger than he was in the past—
He still wasn't sure he could take on an Infinity.
Or maybe they didn't have a way before and only figured sothing out now?

"The Infinities…?"
Aeliana asked and Nux nodded again.
"Yes, last ti Father-in-law contacted them, he left the artifact to reach him with them. They contacted him through it."
"What did they say?"
Aeliana asked.
"They said they wish to et him."
"What…?"
The Vampire narrowed her eyes, not just her, everyone else was the sa.
"Father-in-law denied, he said the sa thing he said last ti, that he has no reason to trust beings who do not trust themselves.
They ntioned how the War had stopped and now it was ti for the Infinities to co together and take care of the outside threat.
And how, as the Universe's Child, it was his responsibility to join them."
Nux explained and the won frowned.
"Sothing here does not make sense…"
Amaya muttered with a deep frown.
"Father-in-law said the sa."
Nux nodded again.
"What did he say?"
Eisheth asked.
"He said that they seed… too cooperative.
They even asked what he wanted them to do for him to be able to trust them, it went against their personalities.
Soone as arrogant as the Infinities, all coming together to… please one being, a being who once disrespected them…"

Aeliana completed those words.
And Nux nodded.

And that was when Amaya ntioned sothing that created an even stronger impact.

The mont those words were said, the atmosphere in the hall changed. Aeliana looked shaken, Vyriana quickly placed her hand on her shoulder, lia gently held her hand, trying to ease her down.

"If it's him, he would know about the relationship between Nux and Lord Azriel…"
Eisheth muttered with a heavy expression.
And the mont that was ntioned, the atmosphere in the room turned even heavier.
"But how did the Infinities figure out a way to stop Nux's hunts just because Zylarith contacted them?"
Lyriana questioned with a confused look on her face.
Zylarith knew about them, sure, but that still shouldn't have helped the Infinities figure out a way to stop them.
"Could it be a coincidence?"
Rune asked.
That could be true as well, in fact, that seed more likely, but…

Sharnoth shook her head.
"If Master made a move, he would have made it after full preparations.
He must have planned it all."
Compared to everyone here, she knew Zylarith the most, she knew how thorough that man was. He would be as thorough as Nux, if not more, this was the reason Sharnoth, at so level, believed Zylarith was actually Nux's Soul Father, even though the rest of the won felt that it was bogus.
"Are you saying that… Zylarith figured out a way to stop Nux's hunts? Sothing that none of the Infinities, not even the Infinity of Eternity could?"
Felberta narrowed her eyes as she looked at Sharnoth and—

Sharnoth nodded.
If it was Zylarith, he was definitely capable of it.

Felberta asked.
"I wouldn't know."
Sharnoth could only shake her head and the won turned silent.
The Progenitors too, ever since the conversation began, remained completely silent, not once did they try to interrupt because they had no valuable input regarding the situation.
"Could there be… a traitor among us?"
Suddenly, Rune asked another question.
Of course, when she ntioned a traitor, everyone knew she wasn't talking about the wives, that was simply impossible, Nux wouldn't even consider that—

Rune asked and Amaya looked at her with the sa serious look and—
