Xu Ke didn’t expect Lin ngyao to try so hard to hide her head for this reason, and for a mont, he couldn’t tell if he felt more heartache or more happiness.
"If it hurts, why didn’t you say so?" Xu Ke poked Lin ngyao’s nose and said with a bit of frustration.
"You didn’t give a chance to say anything." Lin ngyao retorted unhappily.
Thinking of himself last night, Xu Ke sheepishly touched his nose, avoiding Lin ngyao’s eyes that still held an accusatory look, and said sowhat breathlessly, "It’s my fault. I was too happy last night and didn’t pay attention. I’ll definitely be careful in the future." Xu Ke smiled pleasingly at Lin ngyao, and his smile left Lin ngyao with no temper at all.
"Wait for in bed, don’t move around. I’ll get you so dicine to apply." Xu Ke kissed Lin ngyao on the cheek and turned to get dressed, only to be stopped by Lin ngyao, who grabbed his wrist, "Don’t go yet. Before applying the dicine, you need to wash first. You didn’t bathe yesterday, making uncomfortable all over." Lin ngyao pouted.
"I was negligent. I’ll take you to bathe now." Xu Ke smacked his forehead, looking like an inexperienced young guy, with an ashad expression on his face, but his hands were swift. He went to the bathroom to run a bath and then turned to gently lift Lin ngyao out of bed into the bathtub, tenderly washing and massaging her body.
All the while asking, "Is this pressure okay? Is it more comfortable if I press here?" Lin ngyao nearly wanted to find a cloth to shut Xu Ke’s mouth.
By the ti they were both sorted out, it was already afternoon.
As they approached the living room, a strong bloody sll hit them, making Lin ngyao frown and glance at Xu Ke.
Entering the living room, they found a person, whose limbs had been cut off and trimd into a stick-like shape.
"What happened?" Lin ngyao’s eyes were covered by Xu Ke as he coldly asked.
"What else could it be? Naturally, it’s because he didn’t do his job well. If you don’t fulfill your own vow, you must accept punishnt. The weather is nice today, let’s go out and play. My dad has a golf course, would you like to play golf?" Ariel bounced up to them, tilting her head adorably as she asked.
"What do you want to play?" Xu Ke gently supported Lin ngyao’s waist and asked tenderly.
Normally Lin ngyao wouldn’t mind, but after their antics last night and now being watched by so many people, her face turned red, and she didn’t know what to say.
"Sothing that doesn’t involve much movent." Lin ngyao ducked her head, feeling as if she were boiling water, ready to steam out the top of her head. Though shy on the surface, she didn’t forget to secretly pinch the main culprit fiercely.
"Sothing that doesn’t involve moving? What doesn’t involve moving?" Ariel tapped her forehead with her index finger, looking puzzled, but then her eyes lit up as she looked enlightened, "Are you talking about bumper cars at the amusent park? I never thought you’d enjoy playing that, but I have no objections if you want to, it’s been over ten years since I’ve played. Let’s revisit our childhood, and besides, playing bumper cars suits my outfit. Don’t you think so?"
Ariel spun around in front of them.
The amusent park certainly matched her outfit.
She wore dungarees and had her hair in two braids, looking like a schoolgirl.
Lin ngyao nodded.
Ariel was quite pleased with Lin ngyao’s admiration, giving her a big smile without reservation, then made a face at Xu Ke before breaking their contact and pulling Lin ngyao away.
Soon the three of them were in a car arranged by Arthur’s family, heading to the largest amusent park in East District.
"Next ti, don’t pull Yaoyao like that. She’s not feeling well today; running like that isn’t good for her." Xu Ke said to Ariel with a stern face, one hand massaging Lin ngyao’s waist, while the other placed Lin ngyao’s legs on his lap, gently massaging her calves.
"Why can’t I pull her? Wasn’t she fine yesterday? Did you two do sothing naughty last night?" At first, Ariel’s face was innocent, but then she suddenly revealed a knowing smile, her eyes gleaming with interest, like a mischievous rascal.
"What... What are you talking about? I don’t know anything." Lin ngyao denied, her face turning bright red.
"There’s no need to explain. I’m an adult, you can’t just treat like a kid and fool , I know everything, hehe." Ariel burst into a cheeky laugh, her impish deanor contrasting with her angelic appearance, leaving Lin ngyao looking bewildered and even Xu Ke montarily speechless.
As they laughed and talked, the car pulled up to the entrance of the amusent park, and the driver even took a stack of entrance tickets out of his pocket.
"You don’t need to co with us; I’ll take them in. You following would ruin the fun." Ariel took all the tickets from the person’s hand, opened the car door, and stepped out first. The driver didn’t protest, and once Xu Ke and Lin ngyao got off, he drove away without a backward glance.
"Is your family really okay with you playing alone?" Lin ngyao asked Ariel, watching the departing car.
"Why wouldn’t they be? This amusent park belongs to our family, who could bully on our own turf?" Ariel spread the tickets like a fan to wave so air, her small chin raised, looking utterly adorable.
"Alright, let’s not stand here in the sun. Let’s hurry and play," Ariel said enthusiastically, "It’s been so long since I last ca to our family amusent park. I’ve heard there have been several rounds of renovations, I’m curious if it’s still as fun as when I was a kid."
Just as Ariel intended to step inside, a man blocked her way. His freckled face blushed upon seeing Ariel, and his eyes turned bashful.
"Why are you blocking us? Do you know you’re in our way?" Ariel lifted her chin, looking at the man who was half a head taller than her.
"S-sorry." The man stamred with a flushed face, quickly stepping aside to clear a path for Ariel.
"Weirdo," Ariel comnted with pursed lips, holding her ticket.
"You two, hurry up! Don’t crawl like snails, okay?" Ariel pouted in complaint.
The boy standing aside watched Ariel with a srized gaze, his cheeks blushing.
From a distance, the boy’s friend shouted, "Craig, what are you doing? Don’t forget our tickets!"
