Yu Xia carefully checked and confird that Xu Ke had no intention of sending her away, only then did she relax and stop crying, focusing entirely on controlling herself to stop hiccuping.

"Then, what about that man? What if he turns around and causes trouble for us? I stabbed his shoulder; I don’t think he’ll just let go." Yu Xia asked with so concern.

"Don’t worry, I’ll handle it. If the sky falls, I’m tall enough to hold it up for you. You don’t need to worry about anything. Just make sure to be happy every day, and I’ll take care of the rest," Xu Ke said, patting his shoulder.

Having comforted the two won, Xu Ke returned to the sofa and went to sleep.

Despite what happened, the two won, trusting Xu Ke, didn’t hold any worries in their hearts and eagerly discussed where to go the next day. But before they could decide, this trip was unexpectedly cut short.

The company in Shangzhou just received a large overseas order. Due to the enormous amount involved, the person in charge didn’t dare make independent decisions and reported it to Xu Ke, so now Xu Ke had to go to the company’s branch in Shangzhou.

The two won had to return to Shangjing by themselves.

With Xu Ke around, they could enjoy themselves in Xizhou, but since he had to leave, the man who left that day was like a ticking ti bomb, unpredictable when he might explode. Xu Ke wasn’t comfortable leaving them in Xizhou, and the won had no objections to the decision to return.

However, Lin ngyao was quite reluctant to part with Xu Ke, holding his hand and giving a lengthy reminder.

Finally, the three of them parted at the airport, and it was only after watching the two won board their flight back that Xu Ke felt at ease to head to Shangzhou.

If Xizhou was a huge furnace, then Shangzhou was a different world. Xu Ke had left in haste and was still wearing the clothes he had from Xizhou. Those clothes were just right in Xizhou but insufficient for Shangzhou.

As soon as he got off the plane, a cold wind hit, cutting like knives against his skin, slicing through to his bones. Xu Ke instinctively tightened his body against the cold, exerting great willpower to keep from visibly shivering in public.

Fortunately, the person who ca to pick him up thoughtfully brought an extra coat, anticipating Xu Ke might not be aware of Shangzhou’s climate. The coat ca in handy, although it didn’t fit, and Xu Ke could only drape it over himself.

However, Xu Ke had no complaints about the coat not fitting; he was just thankful it was thick enough to block so wind and keep him from getting too cold.

Xu Ke didn’t bla the person for the ill-fitting coat, but the person who picked him up felt a bit embarrassed, adjusting his glasses and apologizing, "Mr. Xu, I’m really sorry. I didn’t expect the coat to be the wrong size. I apologize."

"It’s fine. Where’s the car? Take to the mall first," Xu Ke said, suppressing the tremor in his voice.

"The car is over here, please follow ." Hearing the tension in Xu Ke’s voice, the person imdiately realized Xu Ke was cold and eager to go shopping for clothes, so he quickened his pace without drawing attention.

As they walked quickly outside, a person suddenly appeared and collided with Xu Ke. Despite wanting to dodge, Xu Ke, stiff from the cold, didn’t move quickly enough, giving the person an opportunity.

The person slamd into Xu Ke’s chest like a small projectile, causing Xu Ke’s chest to go numb and drawing in a cold breath, making him cough uncontrollably.

"Mr. Xu, are you okay?" The man who received him saw Xu Ke coughing and imdiately went to support him, but Xu Ke waved him off.

"I’m fine, let’s go." Xu Ke picked up the fallen coat, patted off the dust, and draped it over himself again, wanting to leave, though his chest still faintly ached, and he suppressed the urge to cough.

While Xu Ke wanted to leave, the girl he collided with did not want to let him go so easily.

Covering her injured forehead, she angrily looked at Xu Ke and said, "You’re just walking away after hitting soone? Not even an apology? You look decent, but you don’t have any manners? Didn’t your nine-year compulsory education teach you what politeness ans?"

She looked Xu Ke up and down, showing disdain, yet Xu Ke still caught a glimpse of undisguised delight and greed in her eyes.

"How could you speak like that? We were walking just fine, and you suddenly appeared and collided with us! We didn’t even ask for an apology or compensation. Aren’t you ashad to twist the truth like this?"

Before Xu Ke could respond, the man who ca to pick him up retorted. He didn’t care if it was a woman opposite him; he only wanted to leave a good impression on Xu Ke. As long as he could make an impression, he was ready to confront whoever stood in his way, even if it were the King himself.

"I’m twisting the truth?" The woman incredulously pointed at herself, raising her voice.

"Are you kidding ? Do I need to twist the truth? I’m stating the facts. Unlike you, who thinks they can turn black into white just because they have so money. The old saying ’no business without treachery’ makes sense seeing you people," she snorted, rolling her eyes.

"You’re quite eloquent, calling us treacherous businessn. Looking at you, we’re no match for you. Not a word you say is true. Are you reincarnated from a liar?" the man countered sharply.

"Enough. Let’s not waste ti here; let’s go," Xu Ke tightened the coat around himself and interrupted.

Hearing Xu Ke’s words, the man paused, then quickly followed.

But the woman was not willing to let Xu Ke, who seed not only good-looking but also wealthy, slip away easily.

"You’re just leaving like that? Not apologizing after hitting soone?" She stepped in front of Xu Ke, blocking his path with her raised arm.

"What do you want?" Xu Ke asked, his face expressionless as he looked at the woman blocking him.

"I want you to apologize for the mistake you just made," the girl held her head high, looking confident.

"I won’t apologize for sothing I didn’t do. Give it up. Also, I’m not your cash cow; you won’t get anything from ," Xu Ke calmly pushed down her raised arm.
