He scratched his chin. He intended to leave, but his curiosity got the better of him. He fetched a ladder from his yard, placed it against the wall, and climbed up to look into the neighbor’s yard.
He was startled to see two unfamiliar n in the yard, one of whom was carrying the neighbor’s wife from a few years back on his back.
Dog Egg’s eyes widened in shock, not expecting such a heinous act next door. His expression turned grim, filled with anger and hostility.
Just as Dog Egg was about to shout, a precise chop landed on his neck, silencing him before he could utter a word.
The commotion finally alerted the two busy rescuers, who quickly turned and pointed their guns, only to relax when they recognized their partner. "Why are you here?"
"I saw soone outside spying on you and feared they’d shout, so I ca over. How could you be so careless?" The partner criticized, looking at them in disappointnt.
"It’s been a long ti since my last mission, and I’ve gotten lax. I’ll train myself harder when we return. Thanks for earlier; I’ll treat you to a al."
"Enough, just get moving."
Ti was pressing, so the trio said only a few words before separating to continue searching for the remaining victims and escorting them away.
