The female shopkeeper looked at her child trembling all over with tears. Her heart ached too, and tears fell down along with her child’s. She held her child tightly, as if cradling the most precious treasure in the world, attempting to use her body to shield her daughter, protecting her under her not-so-strong wings.

"Do you think I’m dead so you can kill soone right in front of ? Coming to Holland has really llowed my temper; I’ve almost forgotten who I used to be." Xu Ke twisted his neck and said with a hint of self-mockery in his tone.

"Not only will I kill soone in front of you, I’ll kill you too." The man arrogantly pointed at Xu Ke and then ran his thumb lightly across his own neck as a sign of provocation, a provocation that cos with the cost of life.

Xu Ke looked outside through the large glass window of the flower shop. The wide street had almost no pedestrians, and the shop across the street had a big "Closed" sign on it.

This was an extrely desolate place, as if all the life on the street was concentrated in this flower shop.

"I didn’t expect today to be a good day for killing," Xu Ke said, looking up at the sky outside in contemplation.

"Today is a good day for you to die. Take a good look at the sun outside because soon you won’t be able to see it." The man laughed happily looking at Xu Ke’s face.

Xu Ke withdrew his gaze and casually took off his coat, hanging it on a high rack beside him.

"Honestly, I’m very curious, what gives you such confidence that you think you can kill and get away with it?"

"It’s impossible to get information from . I won’t tell you the reason. Just know that you will die by my hands today, and don’t worry about what cos after, that’s not sothing a dead man needs to concern himself with." The man said, curling his lips, speaking each word clearly.

"In that case, I won’t ask. But since it’s a matter between two n, can these two won move a bit further away? I don’t want them to affect my performance." Xu Ke slowly rolled up his sleeves, looking and sounding arrogant, the kind of behavior that n hate the most.

But thinking that soone like this is about to die by his hand, the man’s anger seed to dissipate. He even kindly obliged Xu Ke’s request, shooing the mother and daughter into the far corner of the flower shop.

The female shopkeeper received Xu Ke’s signal and endured the pain in her body, hurriedly hiding herself and her daughter, making sure not to give the outside world any chance to harm them.

Xu Ke glanced around, estimated the size of the area, and felt it could ensure the safety of the shopkeeper and her daughter. Xu Ke’s lips slightly curved into a smile.

The eyes of the two n t midair, and though neither said a word to start, they simultaneously rushed towards each other with a mutual understanding.

Compared to Xu Ke’s speed, the man’s movents were significantly clumsier and slower. Luckily, there was not much distance between the two, so Xu Ke didn’t have to run far to reach the man.

The man’s ntality improved a lot compared to last ti; at least, as Xu Ke rushed at him, there was no fear or panic in his eyes, instead, they were full of excitent.

The man was obviously not in the right state today, but Xu Ke hadn’t found the reason for it yet. However, the next mont he got the answer.

Xu Ke kicked the man’s leg, but apart from an expression of excitent, there was no sign of pain on the man’s face. Instead, Xu Ke’s right foot felt slightly numb due to the strength of his kick.

"You have sothing hidden on you." Xu Ke asked the question, already certain of the answer in his heart.

This was indeed his oversight, not realizing the man would have things hidden on him.

The man looked at Xu Ke and laughed smugly, "Of course, after that kick we exchanged yesterday, I realized I wasn’t a match for you there, so I thought of another way to make up for it. How’s that? My thod’s not bad, right? Is your foot hurting?" The man smiled provocatively, boasting.

However, talking didn’t stop the man from brandishing his knife quickly.

With a sharp blade in hand and a weapon hidden on him for protection, the man felt no panic. He treated Xu Ke like a cat playing with a mouse, with a teasing air.

Xu Ke dodged the knife in the man’s hand while using his own hands and feet to probe how much the man had concealed on him and which parts were unprotected.

Fortune favors those who persist, and before the man could tire of this cat-and-mouse ga, Xu Ke struck his body at a spot without a tal plate. The man hadn’t expected to be hit, and caught off guard, he stumbled back against a flower pot rack.

Fortunately, the pots on the rack had all been smashed before Xue Ke ca in, or the force from just now might have knocked most of the pots onto him, burying him underneath.

But now he was stepping over the pots, only feeling so pain from his abdon to his chest from crashing onto the rack.

The man turned his head to look at Xu Ke, his eyes filled with an increasing intent to kill.

"Tsk," Xu Ke clicked his tongue, dissatisfied with the extent of the man’s injury.

"Hahaha, see? Even God is on my side. Your attacks are aningless against . I think you should save your strength and stand still. Let give you a quick end. You can’t kill anyway; struggling is pointless."

Once again, the man approached Xu Ke slowly with the knife.

A few people passed by outside the flower shop, but no one looked towards this inconspicuous corner shop.

"Less talk, fight quicker; I’m in a hurry to get back for dinner." Xu Ke patted his forehead, rembering the promise he made to Alice’s family last night.

Seeing Xu Ke at this point still stubbornly refusing to admit defeat, the man ran out of patience.

Moreover, embarrassingly, Xu Ke’s ntion of dinner had made him hungry. To him, that was an imnse humiliation that only Xu Ke’s blood could soothe.

The man’s attacks grew fiercer, thinking he could easily take down Xu Ke. But in reality, his knife was quickly snatched away by Xu Ke.

"This is not how you use a knife." Xu Ke ran his fingers along the blade with a smile, speaking to the man.

Xu Ke’s smile was unsettling, sending chills down the man’s spine.

Before the man could respond, Xu Ke charged at him. Unard Xu Ke and ard Xu Ke were two entirely different beasts; the latter was more dangerous, more frightening.
