Wei Lai never expected that there were hidden stories behind this matter. To be honest, he was indeed feeling a bit guilty. From an outsider’s perspective, what Xu Ke did was not only not excessive, but overly rciful. However, he thought he stood in the position of the victim, which is why he dared to want to trouble Xu Ke so confidently. In the end, he did not expect to find himself holding the label of the perpetrator.

Wei Lai dared to press him, and Xu Ke naturally could press back, even harder.
"I couldn’t tell that you have quite a vision." Xu Ke said with a cold smile.
Hearing Xu Ke say this made Wei Lai’s scalp tingle.
"Don’t try to put labels on . I don’t acknowledge anything you said. And don’t think about slandering . Forget our statuses; given the current situation between our two families, do you think anyone will believe you? It might bring more disasters to your family." Wei Lai warned with a threatening tone.
"Status? I really don’t know what your status is or mine, are we not all people, citizens?" Xu Ke replied calmly.

"Well, you can try and see if anyone believes . After talking with you, I finally understand why your son and wife’s words are always so annoying. Seems like they have a role model to learn from. If you don’t want that mouth, you can donate it to soone in need, and I an it sincerely." Xu Ke took a step forward, looking at him closely, with an ambiguous smile on his face.
"Cowardly people aren’t just in business. Aren’t there also treacherous officials? Otherwise, where did the term ’treacherous minister’ co from, surely not because it sounds nice? If we’re talking reason, although our professions are different, by your logic, we’re almost the sa. I’m a dishonest businessman, but if we really talk about harm, yours is much greater than mine."

"Did you do that on purpose?" Wei Lai asked, clutching his neck and coughing vigorously. When he finally stopped coughing, he looked at Xu Ke as if staring at an enemy.
Thinking about his pathetic coughing fit potentially being seen by colleagues, Wei Lai wished he could kill Xu Ke right this mont and erase everyone’s mory here, making them forget his earlier embarrassnt.
"Exactly, I did it on purpose. How does it feel to be unable to breathe with a hand around your neck?" Xu Ke looked at him without much apology and asked.
