The doctors in the hospital didn’t expect that Xu Ke had even called the police, and looked at him with gratitude.

The man, seeing that he was about to be handed over from Xu Ke to the hospital, rolled his eyes and wanted to cause trouble again. Xu Ke looked like soone not to be trifled with, so he dared not make a move, but hospitals, if they wanted to keep a good reputation, wouldn’t dare do anything to him either. Otherwise, he’d exaggerate to the dia, and the hospital couldn’t afford that. Even if things were clarified later, a ruined reputation was hard to restore. So when he learned he was going to be transferred to the hospital’s care, not only was he unafraid, but he was very happy.

He looked at Xu Ke carefully and pridefully, as if announcing an impending victory. Xu Ke, without warning, suddenly turned his head. The man had no ti to react, and his expression was caught by Xu Ke.

Xu Ke looked at the man’s expression, his lips suddenly curling upwards, took two steps and walked towards the man again.

The man felt the pain in his previously grabbed wrist again and said, "What are you doing? I’m telling you, don’t co over here, so many people are watching, what do you want to do?" The man’s body kept retreating, wanting to distance himself from Xu Ke. But his movents were nowhere near as fast as Xu Ke’s. Before he could figure out what was happening, he felt a pain at the back of his neck, his vision went dark, and he fainted.

"I forgot about this just now, he’s too noisy, disturbing my family’s rest. Is it okay if I put him out?" Xu Ke said, withdrawing his hand.

The onlookers didn’t know what to say at that mont. Whether they had opinions or not, you’ve already done it, why ask?

But the doctors who ca over were indeed relieved. They dreaded dealing with troubleso relatives of patients, who couldn’t be beaten or scolded, not knowing what to do. Xu Ke knocking the person out actually helped them a lot. The hospital staff looked at Xu Ke with gratitude as he left gracefully.

"What happened outside?"

As soon as Xu Ke entered the ward, he was t with the curious eyes of a large and small pair, which softened the icy look in his eyes considerably, even bringing a warm smile.

"Just an incident of dical disturbance." Xu Ke naturally removed his coat and draped it aside, then walked to the bedside, explaining what happened outside, though he downplayed the part about the family mber threatening violence with a knife, not wanting them to worry.

Because of the incident with the Wei Family, although the two won hadn’t said anything, they were extrely tense, a bit jumpy. Any small event would make them deeply concerned. Xu Ke didn’t want them to worry over such a trivial matter.

The two in the ward, unaware of what happened outside, only learned the event from Xu Ke’s recounting and showed expressions of disdain.

"How can this person behave like that? They saved his dad, and he doesn’t even say thank you. Instead, he makes trouble. If his father knew his son turned out this way, I bet he’d be so angry that all his illnesses would be cured," Lin ngyao remarked.

"That’s humanity—greedy and selfish," Yu Xia comnted, her thoughts drifting sowhere. But they just said that and moved on to other topics, while Xu Ke quietly stayed by their side, peeling tangerines for one, cutting apples for the other, the three of them happily interacting.

Just as Lin ngyao and Yu Xia were happily chatting, the ward door was cautiously opened from outside, a fluffy head peeked in, first looking carefully, and once confirming Xu Ke was indeed there, the smile on the face deepened, and they walked in completely.

"Sorry to interrupt. Do you rember ?" A female doctor in a white coat, carrying a thermal box, approached the bedside, looking at Xu Ke inquisitively.

The previously chatty Lin ngyao and Yu Xia fell silent simultaneously, the room suddenly becoming unusually quiet. The female doctor, sowhat embarrassed, lowered her head, her ears turning a bright shade of red.

"Is there sothing you need?" Xu Ke’s gaze paused on the reddened ears for a mont before expressionlessly asking.

"It’s like this. I’m here to thank you. If you hadn’t helped earlier outside, I don’t know what would have happened, so I’m very grateful for your assistance. This is a token of my appreciation," the female doctor said, handing over the thermal container.

"This has chicken soup, the oil on top has been removed, it’s great for patients." The female doctor extended the thermal container with expectancy in her eyes, looking at Xu Ke.

"Thanks, but our Xiaxia has already eaten. She doesn’t need more food. You can take the soup back and have it yourself." Lin ngyao spoke to the female doctor icily.

Hearing Lin ngyao’s voice, the female doctor finally shifted her gaze from Xu Ke to Lin ngyao, "But you can keep the chicken soup to drink. It’s made from good ingredients, very aromatic." The female doctor said with a hint of expectation, as if rejecting her was a major wrongdoing.

Lin ngyao felt disgust and nausea at the expectation in her eyes. No one likes their husband being coveted by others, "We’ve eaten as well, this chicken soup is best consud when hot. We’re not able to eat any more, you keep it for yourself. Doctors work hard, it’s good for you to nourish with it," Lin ngyao said, ignoring all the emotions in the other’s eyes, with a voice and deanor as cold as ice.

The female doctor looked at Lin ngyao’s expression, then down at her light yellow thermal container dotted with flowers, sniffling her nose with a hint of grievance.

"Did you misunderstand sothing? I just ca to give so chicken soup as a thank you, that’s all. There’s nothing more between us," the female doctor said, sounding sowhat aggrieved.

"What are you thinking? What did I misunderstand? I know there’s nothing between you, I’m just stating the truth. We’re full and can’t eat anymore. Is that not alright?" Lin ngyao, imitating Xu Ke, raised one eyebrow, looking at the female doctor.

Lin ngyao hadn’t said anything extraordinarily excessive from start to finish, but her expression and deanor clearly conveyed her disdain for the female doctor, a scorn that was hard to endure.
