"These things, when I asked you for them, you didn’t give them, and even when I beat you, you didn’t give them, but now for an outsider, you’re willing to hand them over. Are you sure there’s nothing shady going on between you two?" The boss’s brother didn’t mind using the worst possible suspicions to guess the relationship between the two, as if saring their nas brought him great pleasure.
As soon as he spoke, it was like a deep-water torpedo exploding, causing an uproar among the crowd. The onlookers cast different glances at Xu Ke and the boss, as if they really had so improper relationship, making Xu Ke and the boss’s faces turn livid.
"What nonsense are you talking about? There’s nothing improper between us. Where did you even learn to talk like that? I spent money to send you to school, and this is how you repay ?" The boss felt his blood boil as he heard the gossiping around him, the anger rushed straight to the top of his head, causing the veins on his forehead to throb as if they could burst through his skin.
"If there’s really nothing between you two, why are you getting so mad at ? Isn’t it because I hit a sore spot?" The boss’s brother sneered, his gaze swept over Xu Ke and the boss, filled with disgust, as if they were carrying so contagious virus that made him want to run away.
"If nothing good can co out of your filthy mouth, then shut it, or don’t force to hit you." Xu Ke clenched his fist until it cracked, itching to punch the other man’s mouth and knock out his teeth one by one so that he couldn’t utter another annoying word.
"What the hell did you just say? Who are you calling a dog?" The boss’s brother smacked the armrest of his chair, glaring at Xu Ke as if he wanted to devour him alive.
"Don’t, don’t provoke him," the boss said between coughs, trying to stop Xu Ke from making things worse, but Xu Ke’s reply ca faster, "Whoever responds to , that’s who I’m talking about."
"You must have a death wish, thinking you can act out just because my brother’s willing to pay for you. You push , and I’ll handle you right in front of him, believe it or not?" The boss’s brother relied on the fact that he had brought more people, arrogantly pointing a phone at Xu Ke’s nose, unaware of the trouble his words could cause, like a child spoiled in a beehive who doesn’t know the danger of his words.
"Then hurry up and deal with , don’t wait, or I’ll be unable to hold back and strike first. If I start, you won’t get a chance to do anything." Looking at his opponent still taunting him, Xu Ke’s desire to punch him intensified, feeling his fists itch, almost unable to control the urge to strike the other’s face.
While Xu Ke was exerting his imnse self-control to restrain his impulses, the boss’s brother remained oblivious, continuing to speak filthily, making people want to rinse his mouth with toilet water, as using tap water would be a disgrace to it.
Xu Ke voiced his thoughts as the boss’s brother prattled on without awareness, and hearing Xu Ke’s words, the latter was first stunned before soaring rage filled his heart. Nobody had ever insulted him like this; it was as if his dignity was being trampled underfoot.
Xu Ke’s remarks were sharp, but the onlookers found them thrilling, hoping Xu Ke would say more, so the two would either argue or fight outright.
Amidst the crowd’s anticipation, the boss’s brother retracted his incredulous gaze, jumping up from his seat like a skyrocket, wishing it were night or a special occasion when a fireworks display would be fitting, albeit not with fireworks, but real flas, a show of blood and pleas never before seen; Xu Ke licked his sharp teeth at the thought.
anwhile, in the real world, the boss’s brother faced Xu Ke’s unyielding deanor, feeling his own rage building uncontrollably until it finally erupted.
"You’re damn stubborn, thinking I won’t do anything to you? I can even hit my brother, so who the hell are you? You guys, get him, beat him up. If anything happens, it’s on , just let him stay alive." With these words, the burly n observing the scene stretched their necks, flexed their arms, reawakening their idle muscles.
"Isn’t living well enough? Why go seeking trouble over a montary dispute?" A tattooed thug rubbed his hands and looked at Xu Ke with so regret.
He actually quite enjoyed Xu Ke’s sharp tongue, finding it entertaining like a one-man cody show. But despite the amusent, they were there to teach Xu Ke a lesson.
"Sorry about this, hope you can take a beating," the thug said, charging at Xu Ke like an arrow, aiming to break him with overwhelming force, showing no hint of the admiration for Xu Ke harbored in their hearts.
Though it’s unclear where the boss’s brother found these people, in terms of their fighting angles and ntality, they were top-tier thugs, believing themselves well-concealed, only to expose all in a fight. They took it seriously, thinking they were hidden masters.
Xu Ke seriously engaged with them for a few moves, and once he understood their tricks, this aningless brawl ended with honor.
Looking at the thugs collapsed at his feet, the boss’s brother was so shocked that he looked like he could swallow an egg, raising his head to watch Xu Ke approach. His legs were so weak with fear, he couldn’t even stand, relieved to be seated, keeping his sha hidden, feeling a strange satisfaction that his humiliation remained his secret, known only to himself.
