"I don’t know what you’re going to do, but I’ve already made up my mind. I will absolutely not give up on Brother Xu, even if I have to face criticism and scorn from the world, I will not retreat." Tangtang said with determination.

Guoguo was stunned by Tangtang’s resolve; she never expected her sister to make such a big decision.

Although Tangtang is the older sister, she’s only older by a few seconds, and given her sister’s lively and mischievous nature since childhood, Guoguo has always played a sowhat elder role.

So, although Tangtang is the sister in na, Guoguo has always regarded her as her younger sister.

In her impression, Tangtang was still that little girl who didn’t know much, waiting for her to clean up her sses.

But now, looking into Tangtang’s determined eyes, Guoguo’s heart was shaken.

"Guoguo, our lives are only so long. We should pursue what we want, and we have the right to do so. Don’t be influenced by external factors. People outside won’t take responsibility for our lives. The only ones who can take responsibility are ourselves. So, love boldly." Tangtang said sincerely, holding Guoguo’s hand.

Guoguo didn’t answer Tangtang, but her heart began to waver.

On one hand, she kept telling herself that it wasn’t right to do this, but on the other hand, she couldn’t control her heart.

Her heart raced when she saw Xu Ke, and only when she saw him did she feel truly alive.

Alive as a person in this world, not as soone’s sothing, not as an object.

With Xu Ke, she felt what it ant to be alive, what happiness was, what it ant to be at ease, and what it felt like to be protected.

"I know you’ve also made up your mind, haven’t you? Although you’re my sister, I’ve never been a qualified older sister. I haven’t done what an older sister should do, but you’ve done it all." Tangtang said, holding Guoguo’s hand.

"Although saying this is inappropriate, I still want to say that I can’t accept sharing a husband with soone else, but if that person is you, I don’t mind. Between sisters, there’s no need for such distinctions. What’s yours is mine, and what’s mine is yours." Tangtang said seriously.

Hearing Tangtang’s words, Guoguo couldn’t deny her heart was stirred.

She never thought she would hear such words from her sister, although they joked about marrying the sa person when they were little, knowing it was just a child’s play.

Even though they loved each other dearly, they felt they couldn’t share a man.

But now, when she realized it might beco a reality, her first reaction wasn’t disgust or repulsion, but happiness and joy.

Guoguo knew her thoughts were incorrect, contradicting social morals, but she couldn’t control them.

If a person could easily control their emotions, how terrifying would that be?

"Sister, maybe you’re right. We shouldn’t care too much about others’ opinions because, whether good or bad, our lives are our own. Others shouldn’t dictate for us. Whether we live well or poorly, our days belong to us, and others won’t take responsibility for our lives; they just stand by and criticize, eager to enjoy manipulating others." Guoguo sighed deeply.

At that mont, she seed to have finally shaken off so shackle, feeling relaxed and free.

Seeing Guoguo let go and stop being entangled, becoming radiant, Tangtang, as her sister, felt happy for her as well.

The two sisters opened up in the night, staying close, sharing their little thoughts.

They talked so happily that they forgot the ti, and by the ti they crawled out of bed the next day, Xu Ke had already prepared breakfast and was waiting for them.

"You’re up, now that you’re up, co and eat." Xu Ke said after setting the table.

Although Xu Ke didn’t say anything to them, the sisters’ faces didn’t look good; they looked as if they had committed a grave mistake, appearing anxious and uneasy.

"What’s wrong? Why aren’t you coming to eat?" Xu Ke asked, puzzled by their expressions.

"Sorry!" Out of the blue, the sisters apologized to Xu Ke, leaving him baffled.

"What did you do? Why are you suddenly apologizing?" Xu Ke asked.

"It’s our fault for getting up late. Today, we sisters should have made breakfast, but we overslept and made you get up to cook." Guoguo explained remorsefully.

She truly felt it was inappropriate because they stayed at Xu Ke’s place rent-free, and Xu Ke asked them to compensate with housework. This arrangent was already unfair to Xu Ke.

Even if they were just housekeepers, their monthly salary wouldn’t cover the rent at Xu Ke’s place, but Xu Ke didn’t charge them; he only asked them to do so chores.

Yet they still overslept, forgetting their duties and making Xu Ke do the work, which Guoguo found extrely shaful.

This was truly disgraceful, hence they felt deeply ashad of their actions.

Understanding the sisters’ concern, Xu Ke felt both amused and touched; on one hand, he thought their worries were silly, yet he found their self-bla over such a small matter endearing.

He couldn’t help but laugh.

Seeing Xu Ke smile, the sisters showed confusion and puzzlent in their expressions, not understanding what about them made Xu Ke laugh out loud.

Or maybe it was their earlier actions that were funny, causing him to laugh.

Noticing Tangtang and Guoguo’s bewildered expressions, Xu Ke walked forward, smiling, and gently patted their heads.

"You didn’t do anything wrong. I got up early and had nothing to do, so I decided to cook. If this makes you uncomfortable, then I won’t do it again, and leave it for you to do." Xu Ke said with a smile.

Hearing Xu Ke’s words, the sisters felt Xu Ke’s kindness; their initial affection for him soared from an eight to a ten.
