Xu Ke’s words made the Human Resources Director’s vision go dark; she knew Xu Ke was determined not to let her off.
"What did you give those two to take?" Xu Ke asked calmly.
"You’re determined not to let off, and you dare to ask that? Why should I tell you? Since you want to drag to Hell, let’s all go together. Why should only I go to Hell while you enjoy life in the human world? That’s not fair!" The Human Resources Director bared her hideous fangs at this mont, her once beautiful face now grotesque and terrifying, like a ghost from a horror movie.
"There aren’t many fair things in this world. You think it’s unfair because you lack strength," Xu Ke said impassively, with a faint expression.
"Alright, I think you’re right. There aren’t many fair things in this world; if there are, it’s because you lack strength. So now I won’t tell you, because you lack the strength to make speak, to make tell you." The Human Resources Director looked into Xu Ke’s eyes with a hint of madness.
"To tell you the truth, what I gave them doesn’t just make them immobile; there’s sothing more potent, only the ti hasn’t co yet. So you’d better hurry; when the ti cos, you won’t be able to save them." The Human Resources Director laughed sharply, the piercing sound giving everyone a headache.
"I’ll give you one last chance. You’d better tell willingly, to spare yourself the pain," Xu Ke said, looking at her.
Though Xu Ke’s face remained calm, in reality, he was starting to panic. He dared not gamble on whether what she said was true.
But the Human Resources Director seed like a worm in Xu Ke’s stomach, watching his calm face with an increasingly broad smile.
"Give a chance? Why don’t we both take a step back? You release , and I’ll tell you what they took and how to save them, alright?" Her eyes glead as she negotiated with Xu Ke.
"What makes you think you have any right to negotiate with ? I only gave you a chance to spare you so pain, not to let you go," Xu Ke sneered at her.
"I gave you a chance, but didn’t expect you to be so ungrateful. Since you don’t cherish this opportunity, I won’t bother being a good person. Anyway, I believe with my thods, you’ll give in before they do." Xu Ke displayed a malicious smile.
But that’s not what was most frightening. What terrified her most was Xu Ke’s preparation.
He rolled up his sleeves and unbuttoned two buttons on his collar for easier breathing and movent.
Then he approached an unconscious man, removed his belt, and walked toward the Human Resources Director.
In that mont, the dangerous aura exuding from Xu Ke rushed toward her like a wild beast ready to devour its prey.
Her earlier arrogance and madness peeled away instantly, as fear reclaid her.
"What are you going to do? I warn you, stay away! If you co any closer, I’ll kill myself; even in death, I won’t let you succeed," she scread at Xu Ke.
"You’re shouting too early; better conserve your energy for later," he said as he approached.
He reached her, tied the belt around her hands to restrain her despite her struggles. To Xu Ke, her efforts were as feeble as a kitten kneading, hardly a threat.
As her hands were tightly bound and turning red and purple from the pressure, she cried out, "Let go! Help! Is anyone there to save !" She attempted several tis to stand, but fear weakened her legs to noodles, unable to support her.
She tried countless tis, only to fall each attempt, never succeeding.
So she shouted for help, hoping soone would hear and rescue her.
But in the end, her cries were in vain. Despite calling for two or three minutes, her voice even cracking several tis, she never saw anyone co to her aid.
Despair and terror enveloped her like a cocoon, entraping her entirely in darkness, from which no light could penetrate.
There was no shore, no helping hand to climb up, leaving only darkness.
The woman was utterly hopeless, looking at Xu Ke with tears streaming uncontrollably, shaking her head desperately for rcy.
While she felt so fear, she didn’t truly believe Xu Ke would do anything drastic, so she resorted to pleading eyes and words.
Seeing she was obstinate, Xu Ke couldn’t help but fulfill her request.
Compelled to et her with full force, he reached out and viciously snapped one of her fingers.
Her long, elegant fingers bent hideously under Xu Ke’s grip, and her scream seed to pierce the heavens.
The excruciating pain left this woman, who had never truly suffered, fainting.
Her body’s defense chanism rendered her unconscious, but Xu Ke was far from done with her.
He picked up a cup, got water from the dispenser, and dumped it on her face, forcibly reviving her.
"The ga’s just begun. How can you faint now?" Xu Ke said with a smile.
At this mont, she finally realized that Xu Ke wouldn’t spare her for her beauty. Trying to beg or persuade wouldn’t sway him, making such efforts utterly futile.
"I’ll tell you everything; whatever you ask, I’ll answer. Just please, stop torturing ," she pleaded tearfully.
