"I warn you, don’t co any closer. If you get any nearer, don’t bla us for being rude." Guoguo held her ground, refusing to be intimidated, and pointed the stick in her hands at the man in front of her.
"Oh, you’re going to be rude to us? How exactly are you going to be rude? Tell so I can hear it. Maybe I can give you so advice on how to properly punish us." The man laughed loudly, his eyes glinting with malice as they road over Guoguo’s body.
Fourth Master Wu heard the man’s laughter and suddenly tuned into the sa wavelength, joining in the laughter loudly.
Watching these two n laugh heartily, Guoguo felt both anger and fear but was helpless against them, knowing she couldn’t possibly beat these two n.
Guoguo glanced towards Tangtang, who was behind the two n, and gave her a knowing look. The twin bond between them seed to finally kick in at this mont.
Tangtang raised the stick in her hand and struck the n wildly from both sides. Seizing the mont when the n clutched their heads and ducked, she quickly ran to Guoguo’s side.
Separated on different sides, the sisters finally reunited, their bodies pressing tightly against each other, seeking even the slightest warmth.
With their hot bodies pressed together, Tangtang and Guoguo felt slightly less afraid.
The two n hadn’t initially guarded against Tangtang, thinking she was just a woman and couldn’t possibly harm them.
However, it was precisely their arrogance that gave Tangtang the chance to successfully reunite with Guoguo.
Thus, the n imdiately developed a hatred for Tangtang.
They felt that Tangtang and Guoguo were really ungrateful for acting this way.
The two n clutched their most painful injuries with hateful eyes fixed on Tangtang and Guoguo.
Successfully cornering the sisters by the window.
"You two are quite bold, daring to attack us. Do you know who you just hit? You hit your Third Young Master Hu and Fourth Master Wu. Do you know what status we hold in this area? Here, we are the masters. You just hit your grandfathers, so don’t think you can have a good life here anymore." Third Young Master Hu, who had been hit on the head, threatened Tangtang and Guoguo while clutching his aching head.
Tangtang and Guoguo took a deep breath and bravely faced the n, saying, "Breaking into a private residence is illegal. If you do anything to us, we’ll report you to the police and have you arrested." Tangtang said with the last ounce of her courage.
Yet the two n weren’t intimidated by the ntion of the police at all; they even laughed out loud at Tangtang’s words.
"Did I hear that right? You think you can solve this by calling the police? This is hilarious. Didn’t you know when you rented this place that it’s a well-known lawless area? Here, strength and force speak. The police don’t concern themselves with what happens here, calling them is pointless."
Third Young Master Hu laughed so hard at Tangtang’s words he bent over, clutching his belly and wiping tears from the corners of his eyes before speaking to Tangtang again.
Tangtang’s legs began to tremble slightly from Third Young Master Hu’s laughter, her face turning deathly pale as if a layer of putty had been applied, completely devoid of color.
When they rented the place, they were only thinking about the low cost. Moreover, the landlord never told them about the situation here, so they just thought it was a simple slum.
They never imagined it was a lawless area.
At that mont, Tangtang and Guoguo’s hearts turned cold as they finally understood why people here seed so indifferent—it was because the lack of law had amplified everyone’s innate evil.
Perhaps the people here once had kind intentions of helping others, but such kindness hadn’t brought them good outcos, instead leaving them in misery. That’s why, when faced with strangers asking for help, they appeared so cold and unfeeling, because that was the best way to protect themselves—a defensive shell to guard their soft spots.
Tangtang had no idea why, in such a dangerous mont, her mind was filled with thoughts unrelated to the current situation. Yet those thoughts seed to calm her nerves sowhat.
"I don’t care what kind of place this is. I only know this is our rented property, and now it’s our territory. You’re intruders, so we demand you leave imdiately, or we’ll use all ans available to defend our rights." Feeling her sister’s tension, Guoguo pulled her behind her.
Even at this mont, Guoguo’s heart was trembling with fear, no less than Tangtang’s, but years of growing up had taught her to keep her emotions in check.
In such circumstances, she could still perfectly control her facial expressions, projecting nothing but coldness, not fear.
But no matter what expressions they put on, no matter if Tangtang and Guoguo had previously tead up to take down one of them, the n didn’t take them seriously.
In the eyes of Third Young Master Hu and Fourth Master Wu, Tangtang and Guoguo were insignificant. Their previous success was due to the elent of surprise, catching them unprepared. But now, unfortunately, they were prepared for Tangtang and Guoguo.
"Defend your rights? What rights do you have? Talking about rights with us here? Are you joking?" Third Young Master Hu didn’t bother to hide his mockery, looking at Guoguo as if she were so kind of fool.
"Let tell you, as long as we brothers don’t want to leave, there’s nothing you can do to make us. We initially planned to treat you nicely, be gentle with you sisters, but I see now that maybe you don’t need that. Since you seem to like things rougher, maybe violent thods will suit you better." Third Young Master Hu’s eyes fell on Tangtang and Guoguo with malicious intent.
Like parasites gnawing at bone, once they latched on, they were impossible to shake off, utterly disgusting.
Though the sisters held onto sticks, their grip faltered as their hands shook uncontrollably.
