A calm and controlled voice echoed through the bustling corridors.

"I believe the young lady should calm down a bit, Princess."

The young man who spoke maintained an impeccable posture, his words carefully chosen to avoid provoking the girl before him. But Sylphie didn't even glance at him. Her firm and determined steps cut through the path ahead, while the students around them rely watched in silence, srized by her presence.

And it was impossible not to notice Sylphie.

She possessed an almost ethereal beauty, as if she didn't belong to this world. Her snow-white hair cascaded in soft waves down to her waist, contrasting with her sun-kissed skin. Her erald-green eyes glead intensely, filled with impatience and determination. Her figure was slender and graceful, yet she carried an undeniable strength, a presence that instinctively made those around her bow to her will.

She was a princess—and not just in title.

"I can't calm down until I find him." Sylphie cut off any attempt at conversation, frustration evident in her voice.

Hidank Kiser sighed but maintained his calm smile. He had expected this reaction.

Tall and refined in appearance, Hidank was the epito of elegance and sophistication. His black hair was always perfectly styled, and his golden eyes carried a sharp gleam, as if constantly analyzing everything around him. His posture was flawless, and the way he dressed—with a uniform that seed tailor-made, always fitted and impeccably clean—only reinforced his aura of leadership.

He was the Student Council President, a title that ca with enormous responsibilities at Azalith. And more than that, he was one of the few who could handle Sylphie without losing his composure.

"And why are you here?" She finally stopped and faced him, crossing her arms. "I'm sure I refused to join the Council."

Hidank kept his tone gentle, but his voice remained firm.

"Forgive , my lady, but I cannot accept that answer." He observed her with patience but also with determination. "We need you to unite both factions of elves within the academy. You are the only one who can do it."

Sylphie narrowed her eyes, analyzing him with a mix of irritation and coldness. She hated being pressured.

"'No' will remain 'no.'" Her voice was firm, cutting. "As I said, I don't care about this school, about these people I don't know, and even less about what they think."

She turned on her heels and walked away without looking back, leaving Hidank standing in the corridor, sighing. Yet, despite this, he continued following her.

As she stepped through the gates of the building, her eyes imdiately searched for sothing—soone. Her heart beat a little faster.

'I couldn't find him during the speech, nor at the selection… I chose the wrong side twice…'

Frustration tightened in her chest.

'Did he really co?'

The doubt clung to her like a shadow that refused to leave.

Sylphie stopped in the courtyard, feeling the wind gently brush against her face. Her white hair danced in the air as she clenched her fists, trying to push away the growing anxiety.

'The headmaster assured that he's here… so I just need to find him… But when I do… what should I do?'

She took a deep breath, feeling warmth rise to her cheeks.

'Do I… hug him? Or just smile and wave?'

The re thought made her shiver.

'Damn it! I didn't think about this part!!!'

And then, an even more terrifying thought crossed her mind.

'Wait… what if he finds first?!'

Her eyes widened slightly as a wave of panic took over her.

Sylphie Faelwyn, the elven princess of unparalleled beauty and commanding presence… was completely lost on how to act when she saw Kael again.

Before she could get even more lost in her thoughts, a breathless voice pulled her back to reality.

"President!"

A girl ran in their direction but rushed past Sylphie, heading straight for Hidank. She was out of breath, clutching her knees as she tried to recover.

"Sir... ah..." She panted between words. "Another... case... of racism..."

Sylphie frowned. This was becoming far too common.

"But this ti… soone interfered in a duel, and one of the professors… nearly allowed it to end in death."

Hidank's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Who was involved this ti?" His voice carried a weight of disapproval.

"A foolish human mocking a demi-human..." The girl responded, her tone indignant.

Hidank let out a heavy sigh. "And who was the one who interfered?"

The girl hesitated for a mont, still catching her breath before answering.

"A young man with very dark red hair… He looked like a mage, but he caught a massive lightning attack with his bare hands. And he… he simply… broke the magic. As if it were nothing."

Silence filled the air.

Sylphie's heart pounded.

Dark red hair…

There was no one like that at the academy. She knew that. She had morized every face she had co across since arriving.

It was him.

It had to be him.

And stopping a lightning attack? Yes… that was exactly the kind of thing Kael would do.

Sylphie didn't hesitate.

The mont the girl's words reached her ears, her body was already moving. Her legs shot forward, the winds seeming to respond to her desire for speed. Her long white hair flowed behind her as she cut through the academy courtyard, her eyes wide, her heart pounding.

"Kael…!"

With each step, her anxiety grew. He was here. He was really here. But in what situation? What had happened?

The murmurs of students grew louder as she approached. In the middle of the commotion, one figure stood out: Mizuki Inari.

The nine-tailed Kitsune floated slightly above the ground, her golden eyes blazing with fury. Suspended in the air, trapped within a translucent sphere of energy, was a man—the professor who had let things go too far. He struggled uselessly, but the magic that held him was absolute.

The ground was scorched, the grass burned, and the air still crackled with residual electricity. Sparks of lightning danced across the stone, remnants of the attack that had been unleashed monts before.

And then, her eyes finally found him.

Kael stood there, in the middle of it all, completely relaxed. His hands were stuffed in his pockets, his expression indifferent, as if none of it really mattered to him. His presence was strong, almost oppressive, yet at the sa ti… natural. He didn't seem surprised by the situation. If anything, he looked mildly bored.

A boy lay on the ground, trembling in fear—probably the human responsible for all of this. But Sylphie didn't spare him a single glance.

None of it mattered.

Only Kael mattered.

She stopped abruptly, her chest rising and falling rapidly from the sprint. Her gaze locked onto him, absorbing every detail.

After so long searching…

After years of not knowing if he was even alive…

He was right there.

Sylphie's heart pounded the mont she saw Kael, so calm, so real. Without thinking, without hesitating for even a second, she sprinted forward.

"KAAAAEL!!!"

Her scream echoed across the courtyard, making every single person freeze and turn their heads toward her. Ti seed to slow for a mont as everyone processed the scene.

A furious white streak shot past them. That's how she appeared to the spectators—a shimring blur cutting through the air, the winds roaring around her as she moved like an unstoppable force.

Kael didn't even have ti to react. One mont, he was standing there, relaxed, and the next—

BAM!

Sylphie crashed into him with full force, her arms wrapping around him in a desperate embrace. The impact was so strong that Kael staggered backward, almost losing his balance, forcing him to plant his feet firmly to keep from falling.

She clung to him as if her life depended on it, as if she feared he would disappear if she let go. Her face was pressed against his chest, her breath coming in quick, uneven bursts.

The world around them vanished. There was no Mizuki, no spectators, no professor trapped in magic, no lingering scent of lightning scorching the earth.

There was only Kael.

And Sylphie had no intention of letting go.

Kael blinked a few tis, still processing what had just happened. Her arms were locked tightly around his waist, and he could feel the warmth of her body against his.

Then, his eyes lowered to the figure holding onto him so fiercely, as if trying to make sure he wouldn't disappear.

Snow-white hair. Sun-kissed skin.

And then, like a bolt of lightning, the mory hit him.

"Sylphie..."

Her na slipped from his lips, soft, almost a whisper. But the sound made her tighten her grip, as if just hearing it confird that he was truly there, that he was real.

For a brief mont, Kael remained still. Then, a small smile ford on his lips—one of those rare, genuine ones.

He lifted a hand and gently ran his fingers through her hair.

"I was just about to look for you."

Sylphie finally lifted her face, her erald-green eyes shining brightly as she gazed up at him, her heart racing.

She opened her mouth to say sothing, but no words ca out.

And honestly, they weren't necessary.
