The earth creaked beneath his feet.
Kael walked through the enchanted mists that separated reality from the Kingdom of Tharnys and the space where the succubus hid. Each step was a challenge. Ti bent around him, and distant sounds—screams, laughter, cries—wound their way into his ears like stolen mories.
But he didn’t stop.
With every ter he traveled, the feeling that sothing was watching him grew more intense. Not with eyes. But with desire. As if the earth itself wanted to touch him, taste him. His blood. His soul.
Until he crossed the veil.
An arcane circle manifested beneath his feet at the exact mont he crossed the last frontier of illusion. He was not afraid. The succubus wanted him to see.
And he saw.
The living cave rose before him like a profane sanctuary. The walls trembled with impure life, and a fragrance too sweet to be natural filled the air. It was made to seduce, to break reason with every breath.
In the center, she waited for him.
Seated like a blasphemous goddess on her organic throne, her legs crossed and a lazy smile on her face, like soone who already knows the end of the ga. Her eyes sparkled when she saw him.
"So you ca after all." Her voice was a whisper that touched deeper than sound. "I was hoping for that."
Kael stopped a few feet away, his eyes fixed on her. The aura around him still burned, but in a restrained, disciplined way. He didn’t speak. He just watched her.
She stood up.
Every movent was a dance. Every gesture, a promise. Her skin seed to vibrate with inner light, and even though every detail scread danger, everything about her invited touch.
"You know what they say about n?" She began to walk slowly around him. "So dedicated... so focused... so lonely. So easy to break inside."
Kael didn’t move.
"You’re hurt," she continued, stopping behind him, her fingers hovering inches from the back of his neck. "Maybe not in your body. But here..." She touched his chest with one finger, and the magic trembled. "...where you keep the nas of the dead."
He turned slowly, holding her wrist firmly. The touch burned.
"Tell your na," he said, his voice as deep as stone breaking ice. "Not what others whisper. The real one."
She smiled. She didn’t back away.
"Why, dear Kael? Are you going to exorcise ?" She laughed softly. "Or... are you going to possess ?"
He tightened his grip on her wrist. The fire of his mana began to rise up her arm—but she just closed her eyes and sighed with pleasure.
"Ah, so it’s true..." She opened her eyes slowly. "So cute."
Kael let go of her arm as if rejecting a dangerous offering.
"What did you do to the Elves?"
She turned her back, walking back to the throne.
"The Elves? Ah, Kael..." She spun around and sat down again, crossing her legs. "They asked for help. They wanted to kill the Queen of the Elves, to get rid of the wars, the hunger, the eternal cycle of the kingdoms. I gave them what they wanted."
She raised her hand, and an ethereal image appeared: a peaceful forest, the Elves smiling... and then slowly disappearing, like mist at dawn.
"They now live where ti does not touch them. No pain. No mory. A perfect paradise... without consciousness in an infinite dream where I am their goddess."
Kael took a step forward, and the ground broke beneath his feet.
"That’s imprisonnt."
"It’s peace." She smiled. "But you don’t understand that, do you? You want pain. You want struggle. You want revenge."
She rose again, and her form changed slightly—horns appeared, her eyes beca embers.
"And... what if I told you that I can give you that? That I can give you the ans to hunt what lurks beyond, to break ancient pacts, to shatter curses that even witches dare not na?"
Kael was silent, but his eyes burned with intensity.
She moved closer once more. Closer. Now, chest to chest.
"All you have to do... is let in."
[New option unlocked: Make a pact with the Succubus]
She held out her hand. The crimson glow ford an ancient rune in her palm. "So, hero. Will you fight with ... or will you fight for ?"
Kael looked at the hand extended before him. The rune pulsed with promise—power, knowledge, domination... but also corruption.
He slowly raised his own hand. The succubus smiled triumphantly, her eyes dancing with anticipation. The magical heat between them was palpable, like the mont just before thunder splits the sky.
Their fingers almost touched.
Almost.
Kael smiled too.
A cold smile.
A lethal smile.
"You’re funny," he said, his voice soft as silk... and as cruel as red-hot iron. "I’m going to make you my personal slave."
Before the succubus could react, Kael’s hand closed around hers.
CRACK.
With a precise and brutal movent, he pulled her arm forward and ripped it from her shoulder, the flesh tearing with a grotesque sound, like velvet being torn from the inside. Black blood splattered into the air, evaporating before it touched the ground.
The succubus’s smile dissolved into a scream of pain and shock—a high-pitched, inhuman sound that reverberated off the living walls of the cave.
But Kael gave her no ti.
With the sa bloody hand, he grabbed her neck and lifted her off the ground like a broken doll, her feet flailing in the air. His eyes glowed pure red, spitting curses and terror.
"You... betrayed ..."
Kael squeezed harder, causing her nails to break as she tried to loosen his grip. The succubus’s magic exploded around her in desperation — screaming illusions, writhing shadows, desires being thrown in ntal waves to bend his will.
But he did not yield.
His eyes burned like furnaces.
"I didn’t co here to make a pact," he muttered. "Do I look like soone who would do anything with an annoying succubus like you? A pact? Are you kidding ?"
The rune she had shown him in her palm? Now it burned on Kael’s forehead, inverted, marked by the brute force of absolute denial. It was the symbol of true domination — not agreent, but subjugation.
"You’re pathetic," he growled. "Start bowing down, you fucking slut... You’re mine."
The cave scread at her.
The walls writhed, trying to swallow Kael, but he did not move. Magic of lust and submission crashed against his soul like stormy tides—but he was a rock in the middle of the hurricane.
The succubus struggled, her eyes now revealing sothing that rarely inhabited her face: true fear.
Kael pulled her close, their faces almost touching, and whispered:
"Now... call master."
The rune on his forehead glowed violently, and spectral chains appeared around her — chains made of pain, mory, and obedience. They fastened themselves to her ankles, her wrists, her chest. And finally... her heart.
The succubus gasped, her eyes wide.
Sothing inside her broke.
And sothing new... was born.
A soft lilac fla appeared in her eyes, replacing the red of pride and domination. She did not speak. She could not. But Kael knew: the mark had been accepted. Not by choice... but by absolute power.
He released her neck. Her body fell to its knees.
She breathed heavily, her eyes still trying to understand the new reality.
Kael turned away.
Without haste. Without looking back.
"Clean this cave. Get dressed. When I return, I want you kneeling at the gate."
The silence that followed was thick. Heavy as molten iron. Her hands—trembling, wounded, still stained with her own blood—rested on the living floor, which now no longer responded to her, but to him. Her connection to that domain had been broken. Rewritten.
She slowly raised her face.
And for the first ti in ages, she smiled sincerely.
A smile that carried neither pride nor manipulation. It was sothing deeper. A soft glow appeared in her eyes—pale lilac, submissive, almost reverent.
She placed her hands on her chest, bowed until her forehead touched the ground, and said with a trembling, happy voice...
"Thank you... master." She raised her head again, her eyes brimming with tears. But not from pain. "You... freed . From the burden of command. From the illusion of being adored. From pretending there was a purpose."
She smiled, sweeter than any perfu in the cursed cave.
"Now I belong to sothing real. To you."
The inverted rune on Kael’s forehead still burned with dark embers, and the mark echoed within her soul like a song of iron and destiny.
She rose with effort, still reeling from magical and physical subjugation—but there was a sparkle in her every gesture. Like soone who had finally found a place in the world.
She knelt again, this ti firmly.
Her hands on her thighs, her back straight, her eyes raised, waiting for orders. She spoke firmly, her voice marked by a newfound faith:
"I swear, by the broken pacts and forgotten nas... to serve you until the end of ti. Wherever you walk, I will follow. Wherever you rest, I will make my body your wall. Wherever you fight, I will be your blade and your shield."
She bowed her head. "My old life was a lie. You... are the truth."
Kael remained silent, watching the transformation.
The succubus was no longer a temptress. Nor a fallen queen.
She was possession. But more than that: will dominated, with pride.
And there was peace in that.
A cruel kind of peace.
Kael turned once more, walking toward the living exit of the cave, and before disappearing into the mist again, he issued one last order over his shoulder, without even looking back: "Don’t make co back for you."
He walked out of the lair... "System." He said suddenly...
"What did you do?" he said, after all... that thing... it wasn’t him... those actions... "Why did you take over my body?" Kael asked.
[New Ability: Mark of the Hunter.]
[System restarting.]
