Chapter 1026: Unique event — the “Opening of the Systems Dungeon”
Idan and Arabel, having agreed to beco the Gatekeepers of the Dungeon, found themselves in a white starry space. To their surprise, they found several figures here.
“Oh, look, soone else has appeared,” one of them said.
“Why are there only two of them?” — the other one was surprised.
In front of Idan and Arabel, there were two groups of four and five people and one group of seven beasts.
Idan’s attention was attracted by a group of beasts that radiated a familiar heat. The beasts also noticed him, and their possible leader, a rather large snake, hissed threateningly, sticking out his long tongue.
The first group consisted of four people: two boys and two girls. There were five guys in the second group.
Looking at them, one could easily understand that all these people were Awakened Ones, and quite strong ones at that. Idan and Arabel were particularly attracted to two of them: a gloomy guy in a hood from the second group and a girl with long white hair, from whom palpable fluctuations of Soul Force emanated.
Since the arrival of Idan and Arabel, the two had not taken their eyes off them.
Noticing the identical outfits of Idan and Arabel, as well as the Guild coat of arms, one of the guys from the second group asked:
“Are you from the Central Continent?”
Idan and Arabel exchanged glances and nodded.
“Yes, we’re from there.”
“Oh!”
Their response caused everyone to be surprised, even the group of beasts.
“That’s what I thought,” the guy smiled. “We’re from the Southern Continent.”
“The Southern continent?”— this ti Idan and Arabel were surprised.
As soon as they both turned their attention to the first group, the girl with long white hair, who was apparently the leader, said:
“The Western Continent.”
The guy from the second group added:
“And these beasts seem to be from the Eastern Continent.”
“So representatives from all four continents are gathered here?” exclaid Arabel, looking at the audience with interest. She understood the significance of this event. So far, she and Idan had only operated within the Central Continent, and this was their first contact with representatives from other parts of the world.
Moreover, everyone who gathered here was invited by the world itself, which ans they were unusual creatures.
The others were also aware of this and kept up with them, studying each other with interest.
“Hmm…” Idan frowned.
“What happened?” — Arabel asked, speaking to him through their ntal link.
“{Eye of identification} doesn’t work here,” Idan replied, closing his eyes, feeling a painful sting in his eyes.
[Ding! The World Quest is accepted!]
[Congratulations, Hosts, you have beco participants in a unique event — the “Opening of the Systems Dungeon”!]
[The Systems Dungeon is preparing to open its four gates: Central, Western, Southern and Eastern.]
[Within one day of opening, all inhabitants of this world, including creatures from other worlds, will have a chance to break through to the Dungeon Gates and compete for a special reward from the World itself.]
[You and your partner have been appointed Gatekeepers of the Central Gate of the Systems Dungeon. Your task is to protect the Central Gate and prevent anyone from entering during this day.]
[If soone manages to overco your defenses, the quest will be considered failed, and the Hosts will be teleported back without any rewards.]
[But if you succeed, you will receive the special status of a “Gatekeeper” and a unique reward — the “Back Entrance to the Dungeon”.]
Of course, the awards attracted the most attention.
“Status?” — this was new to many, but Idan had already had sothing similar. He had the status of a “Hearth Protector”, which doubled his stats if a hostile creature appeared next to Arabel within a 10-kiloter radius.
“I wonder if this status will work?” thought Idan, because he had to protect the gate together with his wife.
And here’s the second one: “The Back Entrance to the Dungeon.”
“Damn it!” Idan almost exclaid out loud. Next to him, Arabel was also stunned after reading the description of this award.
The “Back Entrance to the Dungeon” was a special reward that allowed Idan and Arabel to secure additional Dungeon access gates inside the Kingdom.
“I wonder how beasts get information, because they don’t have Systems?” Idan wondered, watching the agitated creatures, around which flas raged, distorting space with their heat.

The countdown began.
“It seems that our concerns about competition between us were unfounded, and each group operates independently,” the guy from the second group laughed.
“Indeed,” nodded the leader of the first group.
“Then good luck to all of you, and I hope everything will work out for everyone,” Idan said, addressing everyone, including the beasts. They snorted, emitting fire, as if saying, “We can handle this, take better care of yourself.”
“Good luck to you too.”
“Likewise.”
When the ti was up, everyone was teleported to different places. Idan and Arabel found themselves in another white starry space, where they were just the two of them.
Looking around, they imdiately noticed the changes in their bodies. Idan looked down and did not find a noticeable bulge on his stomach, where the impudent bird had been sleeping all this ti.
It disappeared.
Arabel, despite the fact that a little more than two weeks have passed since conception, has already begun to feel the birth of a new life in her stomach, but now this feeling has disappeared.

After reading all the notifications, Idan and Arabel ca up with the sa idea at the sa ti.
