"Follow us," Esma ordered Ned, and he nodded and followed her wordlessly.
After Arabel's sudden disappearance and the appearance of Ned in her place in the form of Idan, a charming blond man, and the realization that it was really Ned, Esma and Irene, taking him with them, went to the place where the rest of Irene's group were waiting for them.
With Arabel gone, Esma decided to just follow Irene, canceling her transformation.
"Who are they?" asked Irene, getting into the back seat of the car that the guards had prepared for her. She imdiately realized that this Idan, whom Esma had nad Ned, was similar to the one Arabel had summoned and nad Bera.
Irene was still in a state of shock after seeing Bera turn into her exact copy.
"They're called Doppelgangers," Esma replied, using her Soul Force so none of Irene's guards could hear them. She then briefly brought Irene up to date on who these Doppelgangers were.
Esma, following the example of the couple, did not want to reveal their secrets to anyone without their consent. Doppelgangers, she realized, were one of those secrets. That's why she only told Idan's older sister, Irene.
When Irene found out about the existence of such creatures, she was pleasantly surprised. A desire to have the sa creature as her contract flared up in her. Although she had heard about them from her brother and Arabel before, she hadn't given it much thought at the ti and hadn't even imagined that it was possible to ta these amazing creatures.
Esma, seeing the desire in Irene's eyes, just smiled. She herself had dread of such a unique creature as her contract. As Arabel's sister, she did not lose hope, and perhaps soon she will be able to fulfill this desire.
Two armored SUVs, following each other, drove out of Irene's apartnt and at high speed, turning on sirens and a special signal, moved towards the borders of the city in the direction from where the energy of madness emanated.
Idan's act caused a small commotion in the capital. The military declared a state of ergency and asked all civilians to stay in their hos. All services were put on high alert and began patrolling the city.
Esma watched the scene with great curiosity. It was a novelty for her to see such events. She was well aware that all these people were re mortals, and she was amazed at the level of developnt they were able to achieve.
The SUVs reached the city border unhindered and, joining other vehicles, headed towards a distant fire that lit up the night sky.
Taking advantage of the mont, Irene used her Soul Force to ask Esma questions about her life and about the Valkyries. And Esma, without hiding anything, shared her knowledge as they drove.
Along the way, three more of the sa vehicles joined Irene's two SUVs, and the convoy of five identical armored SUVs continued on their way.
Upon reaching the road section, the convoy stopped, and everyone got out of the SUVs.
Esma's gaze imdiately attracted the statuesque beauties who got out of the SUV one by one. They were all tall and slender, with perfect proportions.
Esma, pouting slightly, looked at each of them curiously, and then turned her gaze to herself, and her mood noticeably soured.
"Leader!" all the beauties greeted Irene enthusiastically, and Esma noticed in their eyes a note of fanatical worship for Irene. Out of the corner of her eye, she glanced suspiciously at Irene, who, noticing her gaze, simply smiled back.
"Who are they, Leader?" the beauties asked, noticing Esma and Ned, who was standing behind her.
"I'm Irene's younger sister, Esma, nice to et you!"—before Irene could say a word, Esma hurried to introduce herself first, smiling broadly and generally behaving like a teenager.
"Wow! The Leader's younger sister," the beauties were surprised and stared at her in awe, while Irene's right eye twitched at Esma's unexpected act.
"Who's that?" one of the beauties asked, pointing at Ned in embarrassnt.
"This is my doggie." said Esma proudly, seeing how the beauties were interested in Idan's appearance in the image of a handso man. This statent caused everyone, including Irene, to exclaim in surprise. Everyone turned their attention to Ned, waiting for his reaction to such a statent, but to everyone's surprise, he did not show the slightest concern.
"Esma! Do you understand that Ned is now in the form of Idan, in which he registered as an awakened one?" Unable to stand Esma's antics any longer, Irene asked the question through the Soul Force.
"Of course I know, don't worry, Irene," replied Esma, realizing what she was doing.
Esma recently read how so people call their loyal subjects and servants loyal dogs. On the one hand, she wanted to repeat this, and on the other, she wanted to protect Ned from these beauties by passing him off as a simple servant.
So, thanks to Esma, Ned, that is, Ethan Goldwing, beca her faithful dog. Many of the girls imdiately lost interest in him, but so continued to steal glances at him. Seeing this, Esma cursed inwardly.
"Well, I tried." she thought. As a caring sister, Esma wanted to distract the attention of the beauties from her younger sister's boyfriend, but she did it in such an unusual way.
Besides Irene's group, there were other groups from different Guilds, and they were all awakened ones called up by the military.
The rest of the way had to be covered on foot.
From the conversations, it was clear that everyone was curious about what had caused such a commotion.
All the awakened ones gathered felt a strange energy emanating from the distant fire.
Only three of them knew what, or more precisely, who, had caused this situation, but even they couldn't say exactly what had happened.
Irene's group consisted exclusively of beautiful, slender and serious won. However, Ned, in the guise of handso Idan, stood out from their background.
As for Ned himself, he didn't give a damn.
His master gave him a simple order: "Follow Esma's orders." He didn't care about the rest.
Looking closely, Irene imdiately noticed the representatives of all the famous Guilds, and this made her frown. She really wanted to scold her younger brother. No sooner had he returned than he began to attract the attention of all the influential people.
Even the mbers of the Titan Guild, the number one Guild, were here. However, it seems that not all the Guild leaders ca in person, as Irene did.
Lately, Irene rarely appeared in public due to her pregnancy, and her sudden appearance caused a bit of a stir. She even noticed a few famous loners among the crowd who preferred to act without joining Guilds.
"Let's go!" commanded Irene, leaving her guards to keep an eye on the cars. Taking only the Awakened Ones from her Guild, she and her group headed towards the Fla Zone.
Like her, all the guilds were watching warily at first, trying to figure out who had co and who had not. It was only after that that they started moving towards the fire one by one.
In Irene's group, Esma stood out especially among the tall and slender beauties with her height and long sea-green hair.
Irene's guild was called "Queens," and all of its mbers truly epitomized that na with their appearance and behavior. However, Esma behaved like a spoiled teenager: she constantly turned her head, admiring the world around her. It was like she was a princess among all these Queens.
All the mbers of Irene's guild, including herself, couldn't help but smile as they watched Esma's behavior. For so reason, with the exception of Irene, everyone else in the group suddenly wanted to protect this "little princess." Unaware that behind this charming exterior was a real old being with a very strange mindset.
While the group was moving towards the Fire Zone, keeping so distance from the other groups, Esma and Ned suddenly stopped, attracting the attention of others.
The restriction that had been holding them back suddenly disappeared, and their rank rose from "Silver" to "Golden".
Although this was not a breakthrough, but only the lifting of the restriction, the sudden change in rank did not attract the attention of others. However, their own group, who were closest to them, clearly sensed this unexpected event.
"What happened?" Irene asked Esma.
"Our rank has increased!" replied Esma, glancing at Ned and confirming that his rank had also increased. She conveyed her words to Irene through her Soul Force.
Irene frowned, not knowing that the rank of Esma and Ned was closely related to that of her brother and Arabel.
"Irene, originally our rank was higher than that of Idan and Sis. After the contract was signed, our rank was lowered to the sa level as theirs," Esma explained, seeing Irene's confusion.
"Are you saying that Idan and Arabel have just raised their rank?!" asked Irene anxiously, using her Soul Force.
Esma nodded affirmatively, confirming her words.
Irene, upon seeing this nod, realized that her younger brother and future sister-in-law had just completed their Ascension Trial.
